Mu Shu and Mongolian Beef
Stephanie T.

Mandarin Triple Crown Taste was goon but the cornstarch made was really thick and clumpy, especially in the broccoli. Mu Shu Taste is good but there are around 4 wraps which isn't very much given the price. Mongolian beef Really on the salty side. I don't recommend ordering this without a large amount of rice. We had noodles and it was too much salt and didn't mask the flavor much. Singaporean noodle Noodles had a good amount and good curry flavor but the meat pieces are a bit dry Service was slow but ambiance was nice. Not a big fan and I feel like the food isn't very authentic, which is usually what I look for in a Chinese place.

Chicken Chow Mein Skinny Noodle

Beef seemed a little overcooked and small pieces in the Broccoli Beef, Chicken Chow Mein pieces of chicken were also on the small side. Overall, just ok.

Fried Rice [3.5 stars, $13]

Very friendly staff, good food, nice atmosphere. Great Wall is much better, though, and cheaper.

The service has gone down hill. The servers are rude. The portions are like weight watchers size.

Came here for lunch by myself yesterday around noon. The restaurant was pretty packed. I ordered…read more3 items: har gao (shrimp dumplings), bean curd rolls and chinese sticky rice wrapped in lotus leafs. The food came fairly quickly and were hot and tasty. This is my go to place in Walnut Creek if I crave for dim sum. The food is ok although the price is a bit higher than Oakland or SF Chinatown. I am glad to see that this place has good business during lunch since there aren't that many choices for dim sum in Walnut Creek and I want them to stay in business. The restaurant is clean but in my opinion it can use a remodel or some new furnitures. I have been coming here since it was called Shanghai Gourmet before. The decore and layout looks the same for the past 20 years.

The food here CAN be good. The siu mai is much better than these baobao type chains. Big and juicy…read more Their walnut shrimp was surprisingly good with not too much batter and a deliciously slight vanilla flavor going on. It's worth it just for those two dishes. If everything was equally good, I'd give them more stars. The downside is that some of their food comes out cold. Why? I have no idea. This has happened to us before and this time it was the shrimp noodle. They also take a while to bring out your dishes, but some still come out cold? Service is friendly, and it is good enough for us when we don't feel like driving to East Ocean in Alameda or Yang Kee in Davis, which are both a lot better.

We had a family lunch at this restaurant and it was so nice!…read more We went at a not so busy time so we were seated very quickly. If you're looking for yummy Chinese food, this is the place. We ordered the chow mein, fried rice and kung pao chicken. As sides, we got the veggie egg rolls and pot stickers. Everything was so delicious! It also works out perfectly if you order food and then want to take some to go. It makes for perfect left over food. I would love to come back! I will be back soon.

We ordered the fried rice, egg drop seaweed soup (cup), broccoli beef, and chicken with snow pea. The fried rice was so unflavored that I only had a few bites and did not otherwise eat and while I loved they had a smaller version of egg drop soup, it too was fairly bland. Even the broccoli beef just didn't have much to it until we added in some soy sauce. The biggest stand outs were the XLB, which while not as amazing as Creek House, were a definite step up from its neighbor Dough Zone and about on par with Dumpling Hours, and the snow pea chicken, which was flavorful and delicious. Overall, I would likely order the snow pea chicken and the egg drop seaweed soup again as I think they would be perfect 'at home with a cold' dishes.
