    Lion King Roll
    Cynthia L.

Haven't been here in a while so figured I'd give this place a review. First off, beware coming here on a Friday night. It gets crazy. And I mean, crazy. Limited parking poses an issue in the first place. Then, because there's one door and one walkway, there were so many people the staff couldn't tell who was waiting for a table and who was waiting for a take out order. So it took us quite a while before staff figured out my bf and I were waiting on a table. No one to greet, no one to ask. And staff was running around dealing with customers who were already seated. Hence the -1 star. Something should be done about the efficiency of trying to sort sit in customers versus take out. That said, once we got seated, service was quick to ask what we wanted and given it had taken awhile for us to get a seat in the first place, we put our order in fairly quickly. Kitchen staff works fast so we got our orders one after another in a fairly streamline manner. I ordered the edamame for appetizer, and then the rainbow roll and lion king roll while my bf ordered the Godzilla roll and the 49ers roll. Their rainbow roll and lion king roll are really good. I think the lion king uses some cream sauce similar to Alfredo sauce so it has a fairly strong garlic taste to it. Not that I'm complaining. Fair warning on Godzilla, it basically is straight sriracha on top so it's spicy so I didn't bother trying it since my bf said it was spicy. The 49ers roll was good...although I'm not sure how I feel about the lemon on top. I know this roll is served at other restaurants but given I'm not one for straight lemon, I'm not sure if it's really needed on top. Or whether lemon juice would suffice. That said, edamame was good since I haven't had it in awhile but I suppose it's nothing special. Just fun to eat. All in all, I'd come back...just probably not on a Friday night.

i really like this place for when i am in the area! the spicy mamacita roll is my favorite and the food is fresh. the service sometimes can be questionable because w had an awkward experience with one man who pointed out how big my friend's ears are. gave us a good laugh but did recognize the weirdness

This place is the best! We love it. We love the misou soup and edamame and sea weed salad. The people are the best because they made all the food for us. Sushi is fresh and yummy. You have to try this place.

    Chirashi Don

I went on a Tuesday around noon, and the restaurant was not very busy at all. Only two other patrons were there. The staff outnumbered the customers, and they were talking/arguing very loudly with one another. The ambiance was sterile and casual. Everything was clean lots of natural lighting though. My server was very attentive and got my food out quickly. Miso soup comes with most entree options on the menu. When I got mine, it was lukewarm and had only a few pieces of tofu, which had a strange melt-in-your-mouth texture. The flavor was lacking the umami flavor all miso soups must have, only being a bit salty but no other depth. I know that it's the default soup of this restaurant, but I wish they had put more effort into it... I ordered the chirashi don (pictured). I only enjoyed 3/5 of the proteins provided by the chef. The tuna and salmon were soft, thick, and fresh-tasting. The mackerel/saba(?) was very tough/almost crunchy, and it feels like they gave me a weird cut and tried to cover it up in the presentation. I couldn't even bite through the huge piece, and there was a large red bit that went down the side. The shrimp was tasty (idk how you can mess up shrimp), but they only gave one that was butterflied. The sweet egg was okay, just not my personal preference. Overall, there are higher quality, tastier places to go to in the area for this price point.

I ordered delivery from Oyama Sushi over the weekend and was very happy with their sushi. I had gotten their Rainbow Roll and Rock and Roll. They were so good!

So delicious! We devoured everything! I will definitely be eating here again. We ate the Lafayette roll, spider roll, fire star roll, 49ers roll and spider roll. My only suggestion is to switch to compostable take out containers please! It's better for the environment.

Ordered delivery through DoorDash tonight and even though it came a little late (not the restaurant's fault), the food saved the day because it was really good! It was my first time trying their sushi and I'd definitely order again. The fish was fresh and buttery soft. I thought the portion size was great. They made sure everything was there for me like the sauces, lemon slices, utensils, etc. I'm happy to support these local restaurants that are working to keep us fed. Thank you Oyama!

Told they'd be ready in five minutes which I thought was interesting. I arrived 15 minutes after placing the order, The place was empty- it was around 4PM on a weekday. No welcome in or hello from staff, I was asked "pick up?" And said yes and provided my name. I was informed they were still preparing my order-GOOD. I would've been concerned if it was ready in less time. I handed my payment card to the host, she struggled with inserting the card into the square device, as well as holding the chip over the device as well. After about 3 minutes she figured it out. I was handed my receipt to fill out. She watched as I filled in the respected lines. I did not leave a tip - as it was a up order, and service thus far was not to par. I waited for my order... 8 minutes later it was ready. Before leaving I checked the bag, order correct, but lacking my preference of soy sauce. I asked the host for more she came back with ONE packet, and tossed it in the bag I was holding. I said out loud "oh just one?" Then asked the sushi chef if they had little to go containers for soy sauce and if I could get one of those. He said yes and instructed the host to fill one for me. She did, came out and handed it to me with what I interpreted was an annoyed look. I said thank you and left. Fascinating to say the least. I guess I was asking for too much. Sushi was decent. Hit the spot. But have had better.

We planned ahead and made a reservation since we had a large group, and our table was already ready when we arrived, which I really appreciated. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. You can truly feel the family-oriented vibes--they took the time to get to know us and checked in throughout the dinner without being overbearing. The menu has so many good options that it was hard to choose, so I went with a 3-item bento box. I ordered the salmon teriyaki, mixed sashimi, and mixed tempura. The bento also came with miso soup, salad, and a side of rice. The portions were HUGE--I had enough leftovers for lunch the next day (not complaining at all!). The fish was fresh, the salmon teriyaki was flavorful, and the tempura was perfectly crispy and delicious. Overall, amazing food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere. I'll definitely be back!

They treat everyone who walks through that door like family and the service is extremely friendly. They are also very family oriented. They were always chatting with our kiddos and other kiddos at other tables. The amount of food they give you is crazy. The rolls were humongous! We were too hungry and I forgot to snap a photo, but they were HUGE. Our 2 item bento boxes were also XL. There was so much food! It was actually a little overwhelming. 1 piece of sashimi is actually 2 or 3 (they slice it really thick---which I'm actually not a fan of). The tempura was delicious. They were big pieces and I felt like they were prepared and fried well. Not overly greasy and the batter was nice. The fish seemed fresh, but I really don't care for thick slices of sashimi. Overall, everything was good, but the fish threw me off. I feel like you lack finesse when you do thick pieces of fish. The rolls also had so much rice. If you value quantity over quality, definitely recommend. If you value quality over quantity, I'd maybe skip.

We'd always only gone for their lunch menu before, but we were really craving sushi and sashimi last night, so we thought Fuji would be the best place to go since we were starving!! We noticed that the dinner menu wasn't that much different from the lunch. Seems like only a handful of items are added, so we still made sure to try some of those dinner-only items. One was the Deep Fried Soft Shell Crab, and it was absolutely delicious! The whole thing was edible, so there was no need to de-shell the crab, and the tempura batter was nice and crispy. The crab also didn't taste fishy at all. I also liked that they served it with a tempura dipping sauce on the side because it helped refresh the dish and cut back on the greasiness a little bit. Another thing I was really super curious to try was the Smoked Salmon. I did order it, but I think the guy working at the sashimi section misheard me and ended up giving me regular salmon instead - boo! I wanted to go back and order more later, but by that point I was already really full, so I decided not to be greedy. Other than that, everything else was pretty much the same as the lunch offerings. In general, my brother and I really like this place. It's definitely our go-to spot when it comes to all you can eat sushi and sashimi. My brother and I love getting a huge plate of sashimi with a variety of fish like Salmon, Yellowtail, Mackerel, and even Unagi too. I also love how quick the service was, and they impose no limitation on how many times we can order or how many items we can get each round. We just feel really comfortable eating here. We'll definitely come back again in the near future!

I love sushi and…read morehave been to a number of other ayce sushi places and tbh, none of them compare to Fuji when it comes to both price, quality, and consistency. For the price, it's very affordable as you pay a flat price and can order everything off the menu. There's no extra charge for sashimi either which I found that all other ayce sushi places do and even with the extra charge for sashimi at other places, their sashimi is often small and the quality is low or just poorly prepared. At Fuji, the sashimi is always consistent and they provide great cuts and variety of sashimi like salmon, eel, tuna, mackerel, and more. I love that it's already included as part of the price and there's no hidden or extra fees. The rolls taste great as well! You can easily grab the rolls from the shelf where they put the freshly made rolls or if you don't see the rolls you want, you can ask the sushi chefs to make them. Personally, I find it more worth it to ask the sushi chefs for sashimi, hand rolls, and the aburi (seared) salmon which is my personal favorite here lol. For the appetizers, you need to order with the waiters but luckily they're very quick and attentive! The fried oyster is really good. The space itself is pretty large and you'll either be seated at a table or at the bar but if you're able to choose, definitely go with the bar! The bar includes the rotating conveyor belt which often has salmon nigiri and other small dishes which makes it more convenient to sit there. This review has been long overdue tbh but I've been here enough times and the quality, consistency, variety, and price is what makes me keep coming back!

The lunch menu is small but with enough variety, and the much larger regular menu includes lunch prices. However, they need to clean up their act a little, both figuratively and literally. I'm pretty sure the chalkboard sign in front showed closing times earlier than on their own website. The website online ordering page says the menus aren't available, though scrolling down did reveal them. On the literal side, the bathroom needs attention, as other reviewers have said. I wouldn't have quite called it dirty and didn't hesitate to use it, but it was definitely shabby. The tile floor was discolored around the edges, the sink could have used a deep clean, and the soap dispenser was empty--a bottle of hand soap was propped up on a rail. Overall, it's a good effort and I probably would eat there again, though I'd examine my food based on some of the negative reviews--food safety isn't something I want to mess around with, and especially not for sushi.
