Relatively new restaurant, staff were fast, efficient and eager to please. Dishes with leftover shells/bones constantly changed for clean dishes. Combo dinners are a bargain, more than enough to feed a party of 4, plenty of leftovers. This restaurant is known for their pigeon which needed to be pre-ordered. Done very well with crispy skin and moist meat Combo dinner A ($98) Lobster. Beef veg, shredded chicken, jellyfish, sweet sour pork. All cooked very well. Impressed with sweet sour pork dish, they used fresh pineapple instead of the canned ones. Lobster dish consisted of 2 small lobsters, seasoned well with onions, ginger and scallions. Beef vegetable dish, the beef was a little too tenderized for my personal tastes. Shredded chicken was tender white meat, delicately flavored where the chicken flavor still came through Must be gaining in popularity as place was full on a Wednesday evening

Located in a food focused mall at Major Mac and Leslie, this place is a new addition that focuses on family style dinners. The location used to be a Dickens. Some renovations have gone into it and it is now much brighter than the Dickens days. We came with another family (there were 8 of us) and ordered one of their set combos that came with steamed fish, lobster and crab along with a couple of vegetable dishes that had meat as well as a BBQ mix (duck and roast pork). We added a sweet and sour pork and a fried rice to round out the meal. You start with the soup and end with tong sui (red bean on this night). The verdict? The dishes that we ordered separate from the combo were great! Big pieces of pork and pineapple in a flavourful sauce. Rice was good but nothing remarkable. The combo came with a 4 lb lobster and when it arrived we were told that it was slightly more than 4 lbs because they didn't have one that was close to 4 lbs. We interpreted this as the price will be passed on to us on the bill. Then we start eating and were surprised to find quite a few empty shells mixed in with pieces with meat attached. You would think that maybe the meat fell out but we could not find any evidence of this. Then the crab came and there was agreement that it could have been fresher. Service was good, multiple plate changes because of all the shellfish. When we paid the bill the waitress gushed over the size of the tip we left (nothing crazy but definitely more than 15%). All I could think was really?!?! I think if you stick with the menu and stay away from the combos you should be okay. We were not hugely impressed. You can definitely get better value elsewhere.

We ordered take out, 5 dishes includes 2 containers of rice and 2 soup. $75 The fried pork chops were over cooked and dry, rest of the food was ok.

Fifth time here in a month. Great food, very good price, good service, decent ambiance, and most importantly, consistent.

We were brought to a table that was just being reset, and when asked to switch to a larger table, they had no issue with it. We asked for pu-erh and tieguanyin tea for the table; they brought us two pots of tieguanyin. Relatively easy fix but when we asked for pu-erh they almost brought us heung-pin. The wait staff was okay, most were pleasant. A few didn't look very happy to be there, maybe they were bored, it wasn't busy. I did find it was somewhat difficult to get their attention when we were looking for someone. Some of the food was served hot (dry fried beef noodle, glutinous meat dumpling) but unfortunately most of the food was warm, at best. The beef noodle was actually very tasty, and probably the best item we had. Sadly, the part that really leaves me uneasy is their fish tank. Three out of the four tanks were empty with green algae, with a dead fish at the bottom of the fourth. The optics really don't serve the restaurant in a positive way whatsoever. Honestly speaking, I lost my appetite once I realized what I saw.

The food was good, as expected like a typical Chinese dinner. The portions were decent and the food had good flavour. It didn't wow but hit the spot. They don't have complimentary soup but we ordered their daily soup and it was reasonable priced. The highlight was the complimentary dessert which included a sweet potato sago, mango jello and almond cookies. The service was very good though. They were so attentive and quick to action. I believe this is the same owner as Yumi Legend.

We had a reservation for 6:15PM, but did have to wait a bit while our table was being set up. Not a huge deal though as they actually have a little waiting area with a popcorn machine, which I thought was super cute and thoughtful. That said... we were here for seafood, so we had to hold ourselves back from snacking too much on popcorn LOL. We went on a Thursday, so we took advantage of their $50 for 50 oysters (with purchase of an entrée). Easily the best part of the experience from a value standpoint. While a good portion of the oysters were fresh, there were definitely a few that were noticeably off. Not just "less fresh," but the kind of bites that make you pause and immediately wanting to spit it out. It kind of takes away from the experience when you're second-guessing each one. We started with the ahi tuna tartare and individual cups of clam chowder. The tartare was decent, but lacked that extra punch or acidity to really make it stand out. The chowder, on the other hand, was surprisingly well done; generous clam pieces with that distinct briny, ocean flavour you only get from real seafood. It tasted authentic, not overly thick, and actually let the ingredients shine. For mains, I ordered the lobster mac & cheese, while my coworkers got the lobster & shrimp tagliatelle. The mac & cheese was creamy and cheesy, but leaned heavily toward pasta over lobster. I only found a few small pieces, mostly from the claw. It felt more like a standard mac & cheese with lobster added in after the fact rather than something cooked together cohesively. Not quite what I had in mind. I also tried a few bites of the tagliatelle; there was flavour there, but it needed salt to bring everything forward. As it stood, the flavours felt muted and a bit hidden. That said, shoutout to our server, Edward, who really helped elevate the experience. Super attentive, gave solid recommendations, and suggested a bottle of Oyster Bay Chardonnay to pair with the oysters, which ended up being a hit. Overall, this is a spot that's worth visiting for the specials alone, but the execution across dishes is a bit uneven. Good, not great, and I'd be more inclined to return strategically rather than for the full menu experience.

After you choose the skewers that you wish to eat, they tally and then cook the food for you. You returned to your table and the cooked food is brought to you. What they did not explain anywhere is that they add spices and sauces to the skewers when they cook it. There is an overwhelming flavor of cumin which changes the flavor palette considerably for each skewer. Every skewer tasted the same! And cumin? Not a fan. A few other skewers were brushed with Sichuan pepper sauce. Which numbs your tongue and is definitely NOT a sauce my group enjoyed. Every staff we encountered do not speak any English at all, so communication or explanation of what was going on/options was completely missing. There were no signs or instructions that could aid this communication gap either. Perhaps there is an option to tell them not to add these spices when cooking? Who knows! But this lack of consideration for guests who do not speak Mandarin was very unimpressive and very unwelcoming. I give this place 6 more months before ppl have tried and never return.
