What a fun little neighborhood bar! My favorite parts of this place were the two dart boards in the back and the little back yard patio. If you do decide to play darts, just be careful of the other guests who are trying to cross to use the restrooms! Clean, friendly, and a good vibe! You should go!

Uncle Barry's is a place to go if you want to feel comfortable, just like any loving uncle's house would be. Came here on a date and I think we were both impressed how awesome this bar is. Has a very warm and inviting feeling with an amazing bar. Lots of top shelf liquor, beer specials and ciders. The bar side itself is pretty big and has comfortable bar chairs. For an early Friday night, not a bad place to start your pregame on. Location is great and not to far from major trains location and restaurants. I had the hot cider with rum- delicious and full of great flavor. My date had the beer (which I don't remember the name) but also enjoyed it. Will be coming back. It's a great spot in a great neighborhood.

Grabbed after work drinks at Uncle Barry's on Friday evening. A decent spot to have a cheap strong drink, and convenient if going to Barclays. Quality: Uncle Barry's is a solid dive bar. They have a sizable beer list, with twelve beers on tap and another dozen or so available in bottles and cans. I also appreciate that they offer Flights in case you just can't choose. They have a couple of wines, then a full bar with some house cocktails written out. During our visit I tried the Gingervitus, with cucumber, vodka, pimms, lime, ginger syrup, and soda, a Kentucky Mule, and a Mezcal Frozen Margarita. They were all fine and quite strong, but after seeing them pour the mezcal before the frozen mix, which left the drink an unmixed mess, it was even more clear this is definitely a beer spot. Quantity: They serve up some stiff cocktails. Value: $10 for the House Cocktails. $12 for the Mezcal Frozen Margarita. Ambiance: Uncle Barry's is located along 5th Ave in Park Slope, very close to Barclays. It has the feel of a place that gets packed before and after games and concerts. They had a small outdoor setup in front of the bar, but on a rainy Friday most folks congregated inside. They have a long bar on the right wall with plenty of stools and then high-tops surrounding it. There was also a small private area in the back that had a dart board. A television hung at each end of the bar, both playing basketball highlights, and the walls were covered with a random assortment of things, from old kung fu posters to subway maps. Crowd: A small crowd for Friday happy hour. There were a few folks who looked like they had been there since the bar opened and a slow flow of customers coming from work. Service: Very friendly and funny bartenders. This is a bar with a good amount of regulars, so it was great to witness the banter with the staff. Parking: Limited street parking in the area.

As someone who has come to this bar regularly to watch Knicks playoff games, I can confidently say…read moreI will never return after what happened during the NBA Finals last night. What this bar pulled was completely unacceptable. They were openly reserving seats at the bar for certain people while telling everyone else they were unavailable. There was no advertised reservation policy, no advance notice, and no opportunity offered to regular customers. Apparently, the only way to get a seat is to know the owner, know the bartenders, or be part of the inner circle. What made it even worse was that my group had been sitting at the bar, ordering food and drinks starting around 7:30 PM, only to be forced out of our seats at 7:45 PM. The reservation signs on those seats clearly stated they were reserved for 8:15 PM. We were paying customers actively spending money, yet we were removed 30 minutes before the supposed reservation time. That is absolutely egregious behavior. I've worked in sports bars and have owned sports bars in New York City. In all my years in the business, I have never heard of reserving seats directly at the bar--especially during a major sporting event. It goes against everything that makes a sports bar successful. Bar seats have always been first-come, first-served. That's Sports Bar 101. I've spent plenty of money here over the years because it was always a great place to watch big games: good atmosphere, sound on the TVs, and a fun crowd. Unfortunately, last night proved that customer loyalty means absolutely nothing. Regular patrons were treated like second-class citizens while preferred customers received special treatment. For a bar that markets itself as a neighborhood sports destination, this was incredibly disappointing, unprofessional, and frankly insulting. If you're planning to watch a major game here, don't assume you'll be treated fairly. Unless you're friends with the right people, don't expect the same experience as everyone else. There are plenty of other sports bars in Brooklyn that understand how to treat customers. After last night, I'll be spending my money there instead. I won't be back, and I certainly won't be recommending this place to anyone. Let's Go Knicks

I've stopped by the 4tg Ave Pub a few times now, and it has yet to let me down!…read more It's a spacious spot with a nice backyard area, and has a lot of fun memorabilia around. But the reason I keep coming back - the sheer selection of incredible and unique beers (and reasonably priced for that manner!). Everything from the desthil spicy sour pickle beer to many variations to le chouffe, you can't go wrong! Oh and they have free popcorn as well... tough to pass up! Service has always been friendly and knowledgeable about the beers. I can already see myself back there for the next time I'm craving some delicious craft beer!

Disappointing Service and Atmosphere…read more My brother and I had a disappointing experience here. I'd been here before and we were in the neighborhood for an event at Barclays Center so I suggested your pub because it was close by. The African American bartender, whose name I believe was Rebekah or Renata, took an excessive amount of time to serve customers. Her interactions were short and snappy. The music was unnecessarily loud, making it difficult to have a conversation without practically shouting. The excessive volume also seemed to go unnoticed by the bartender and she appeared more engaged in conversations with her friends at the bar than attending to patrons Between the slow service, lack of attentiveness, unprofessional demeanor, and uncomfortable noise level, the overall experience fell well short of expectations.
