Really unfortunate I can't give zero stars. This review is for Unbreakable Movers and not the subcontracted moving crew they used. We confirmed a morning move with Unbreakable Movers at least 5 times (this included emails and phone calls both immediately after booking and the day before). On the day of our move, I had to call Unbreakable after our moving window had elapsed (9-10am). They followed up by calling the movers to check-in, only for us to find out (via the movers themselves and NOT Unbreakable Movers) that they (the crew) had been double booked by Unbreakable and that they were slated to show up between 2-4pm. I called Unbreakable to try and figure out what was going on and asked a CS rep (Victor) to get us another mover, and he mentioned "I will check on it." He said he would call me back by 11am, and I didn't hear a peep. This was the last time Unbreakable Movers contacted me. This company is wholly incompetent, and if you have a time sensitive move (we needed everything in a locked-down moving pod at a storage facility by 8pm), avoid them at all costs (is it possible to bold this). They couldn't care less about their customers and the hapless phone reps (Bo, Victor) are bound to mess something up (even after confirming numerous times as in my case). We were incredibly lucky that the moving crew was nice to us -- they arrived at 6pm (the afternoon window as defined by Unbreakable Movers is 2-4pm), and we wrapped up at 230am. Everything was professionally packed as well. Don't trust this company at all. I've moved from the east to west coast multiple times, and this was my worst moving experience (logistically) yet. read more

Requested a move and got a response fast. Information was gathered via a phone call and then received a quote over email that I confirmed. Booking process was smooth and simple, and got the move booked easily. I requested and estimated the move would take no more than 2-3 hours given apartment size & distance (less than 2 miles). I know that because I personally packed & loaded basically the same apartment (with a car) into a 18-wheeler when I moved from Boston to CA years ago. Movers were friendly and prompt arriving at predefined time with their truck. While the whole move took longer (4 hours) and that went a bit over my planned budget, the process led to the expected end result. UPDATE (Apr 6 2021): I had to update the review and remove 3 stars. We did an inspection of our furniture and noticed widespread damage (image attached). Particularly concerning is one piece of furniture (coach), which was basically brand new (couple of months old), was in a perfect condition and costs more than $4k. Prior to the move, we explicitly pointed out to it and to the leaning bookshelves to be handled with care and wrapped up carefully to avoid any damage. Yet, both show signs of damage. The bed frame and dresser are also damaged. Very disappointing. Not only did the move take longer (and cost me more) presumably because they were supposed to carefully wrap up the pieces of furniture, but we also ended up with damaged furniture. Certain level of carelessness with respect to personal property is evident. If you intend to use them, you should either wrap up the furniture yourself in advance of the move, or micro-manage them and inspect the wrapping of ALL furniture prior to being taken out and placed into the truck, and monitor and coordinate the whole process to avoid any damage. Obviously, that's not what you'd expect from a professional moving company. I believe they can do better, but have to train their movers to take great care of and respect personal property and use all means to keep it in its original condition. After all, that's what I'm paying for. read more

Alex and Peter showed up on time and ready to roll! We had a 3bdr / 3ba with beds, couches, tables, and bookshelves. They wrapped EVERYTHING in blankets in tape, down to the last edge and screw. Not a single thing was dinged or scratched. They brought all of the materials to make the job simple. They asked relevant questions about which things to move and if we wanted certain things packaged a specific way. Super communicative and super friendly. When they wanted to move our moving slot from morning to the same day afternoon, I told them yes because, well, COVID time, I had the flexibility and wanted to be helpful. Turned out they completely took advantage of my flexibility. They told us they'd be there from 2pm to 3pm that day. We waited at the storage unit from 2pm. They didn't show up on time nor did they reach out to give us a new ETA. We waited patiently. At 3:45pm, we finally got an ETA from them stating they'd be there by 4:30pm. They didn't show up at 4:30pm. Not even at 5:00pm. We left with frustration - all of our plans have been ruined. Now we have an empty house for the weekend until we could schedule new movers. During the whole time the communication was completely off. No body informed us they'd be late. Nobody gave us an ETA until we chased them for it a few times. And it wasn't remotely accurate. No apologies from them either. They just kept saying 2 minutes, 2 minutes more... and eventually they stopped responding to my email and all phone calls went to voice mails. This was the most efficient and seamless move I have ever had, and I was impressed with the three men I hired from start to finish. During the entire process, they were very focused and diligent in moving as fast as possible. Where to start? If I could marry my movers, I would. But they are already married, and what an amazing couple of people. First off, they were uber responsive. And secondly, they did not shy away from a complex move resulting from litigation that required security services and from an uninhabitable apartment due to mold and other issues.
