I take my son to Mathnasium nearby, and while he's in class, I usually stop by UMe Tea to wait for about an hour. I absolutely love their boba milk tea! It's a small, cute little boba shop with a few tables and seats, making it a nice spot to relax and enjoy a drink. My kids also love the spicy popcorn chicken. It's always juicy, flavorful, and never dry. They give a pretty generous portion too, which is a plus. The only downside is that the wait can sometimes be a bit long, especially when ordering both boba drinks and the popcorn chicken. Order is by kiosk and pick up is by order number, but there is someone there to help you if needed. I ordered the milk tea with sticky black rice. I don't know what I was expecting but it was just rice in milk tea Overall, it was a good milk tea. I took my drink to go since there's not much seating inside nor much to see inside. Was craving a sweet drink this afternoon while out doing some shopping. I'd been wanting to try a fruit tea at UMe Tea & Snack, but I've never had one before and wasn't sure I would like it. There were lots of people in the small shop sitting at tables and standing, waiting for their orders. UMe serves snacks in addition to tea, such as popcorn chicken, fried tofu, curly fries, sesame balls, and more. It's a cute place done in pink and white with whimsical animals depicted throughout the store. I decided to try a watermelon and passionfruit green tea with 50% sweetness, which I ordered from a tablet. To my surprise, my tea was ready in about five minutes. I found it refreshing, especially the watermelon flavor. It was a little too sweet, so next time I'll get 30% sugar. We stopped by here after lunch while we were walking around the area. I got the uji matcha with boba and my friend got the mandarin orange fruit tea. It was very hot inside this particular Ume tea for some reason and we were with her baby so we couldn't sit inside but otherwise it was a good experience. Unfortunately, I didn't receive my two drinks until 3:57 PM, despite other customers who ordered about 15 minutes after us receiving their drinks first. While waiting, I observed staff engaging in unprofessional conversations about making fake accounts and discussing guys blocking them. I also witnessed a larger team member visibly shaking her body and clenching her fists after a young customer forgot to take his change after paying with cash. It made the environment feel uncomfortable and unprofessional. Waiting nearly 30 minutes for two drinks, especially while watching later orders be completed first, was very frustrating. Combined with the inappropriate conversations and unprofessional behavior from staff, this was a disappointing experience. I would not recommend this location based on the poor customer service I experienced. read more

$2.99 for any drink on the first day is a deal. They also have other deals going on for the whole Labor Day weekend. We waited about 50 minutes but that's to be expected on a good deal and grand opening. The line was to the John's restaurant. However, once we got to order, it was only a 5 minute wait. Was it worth $3 off each drink? No. Multiple people working hard in the back. Looks like they're going to have electrical issues because when the blender ran, the overhead lights cut periodically. It also didn't look like there was ac or if it was, it wasn't effective because the door was open, lots of people, lots of appliances. Also it was a bit grimy. It has mango puree, coconut milk, mochi, something blue lol, and a topping of cotton candy. Oh man, that 1st sip was amazing! It is tropical and not overly sweet. I'm putting one star on here just so the manager can see this but five stars to the workers for this location on Lincoln I feel so bad for the workers they work so hard try so hard to get things done and that's why it takes a long time because there's not enough workers. The mandarin needs to hire more workers at least 2 to 3 it is not fair to them that they have to work this hard and even harder because Manager can't have a couple more people on shift either hire more people and it will keep taking a while, which is not their fault but at least give these people a raise because honestly, they worked their butt off in there and it does get very packed. As I'm waiting over 35 minutes for my drinks (I ordered online) I have observed how the one Asian girl there drops a receipt and picks it up with her gloved hand. However, she doesn't change gloves and continues to scoop toppings into drinks and touch cups. She also uses her other un-gloved hand to run her fingers through her hair, and the continues to prepare drinks. Maybe she is a part timer but this is really unsanitary.
