We stopped by for dinner as we were in the area. We were seated right away. Water and menus were dropped off. We ordered a number of items. The sashimi was fresh and not fishy. The moonlight sushi was different. I was not a fan of the blue cheese sauce as it felt like salad dressing. Lastly, the umami roll was most enjoyable and the highlight. I liked the deep-fried scallop and BBQ eel combination. My child finished up all the gyoza so no complaints there. Service was great. They checked in on us regularly. Great place, passed by it many times and finally went to try it out. Ebi sunomono and Miso very nice to start with followed by the gyoza. Also had the Stinky Roll (lots of garlic, scallops and a tuna roll) plus the Tuna Oshi...very delicious. Popular place and we got here just before all the tables filled up. I went there for lunch, I ordered a lunch box with a dynamite roll in it. The roll was absolutely horrible. Crab mixture was not fresh at all and the tempura prawn was soggy and you could tell it was old. When the lady with shorter black hair came to check on us I told her about the roll. Instead of apologizing or offering me something new she just said that the crab mix was made this morning. Then she sent the lady with longer grey hair over and she said the same thing. Very unprofessional and bad customer service. She brought the bill, took my card, processed the payment and walked away. Horrible service. The booth also looked like it had never been cleaned. I was told of this restaurant by our neighbors. I had seen their menu before, and always thought they looked too expensive. But my neighbors recommendation had me intrigued. Well, I am glad I listened to them. Their portions are very generous and always tastes fresh. You can choose from regular white rice, brown rice, or purple rice. The salmon, last I knew, was wild salmon. The lunch and dinner boxes are very filling. I have come to love their Don Bowls (tuna, salmon or a mix of both) as they are very yummy and worth it. They also make a great salmon and avocado roll. My son really enjoys their Chicken Teriyaki too. The restaurant itself is a nice atmosphere with semi-traditional booths on other sides for some semi-private eating areas. Regular tables in middle of restaurant. We have been eating here for over 4 years and every visit has been a positive experience! The service is amazing, the team there knows my husband and I by name and always make us feel at home. The food is great, and their special roles are unique! The order size are among the most generous we have seen in sushi restaurants. This was a really good find. I had no idea that there was a Sushi restaurant in this area until my boss had told me about it and we ordered take out for lunch on a Friday. The restaurant was very quiet for lunch time on a Friday. At 12pm there was only 3 tables. I had ordered the T.A.C Roll and chopped scallop cone. And boy were they delicious. The cone was over flowing with chopped scallop and the roll was so delicious. Spoke to my co-worker afterwards and she enjoyed her Alaska Roll and Veggie Sunomono. Came in for lunch and had char siu pork don (on rice) and char siu pork ramen. Best char siu! It was actually BBQ pork belly. Most ramen restaurants downtown use boiled pork (gross). It was really tasty and I'd come back just for that. BUT don't bother with ramen! It tasted and textured like instant noodle! (Confirmed by the waitress) AND half a hard boiled egg?! That's like using Uncle Ben's instant rice as sushi rice! Disappointed didn't get my Japanese half boiled ramen egg. Should have known, in Langley and only ramen dish on the menu. read more

If I want something simple that hits the spot, I go here. Their agadeshi tofu is well done and unlike their competitors in the area. I can't stand pathetic soft/greasy/not fried with proper hot oil tofu. I'm giving them the high rating for this attention to detail alone. It comes garnished with scallions and the tempura sauce. Friendly staff. There used to be a stuck up, grouchy young girl that was very pushy with me sitting at a 4 person table even though the whole restaurant was empty. She must've been fired or hated her job (which wasn't hard to tell). Glad I didn't let her turn me off and she's gone!! Now loving the restaurant and all the staff. read more

And not even good rice. Over cooked, under seasoned & mushed. You should be able to see the grains. The octopus tasted like fake crab & the saba wasn't as firm as it should be. I always go to a different sushi restaurant, where I'm a regular, but decided to step outside the box today. I really want to give 2.5 but whatever I'll give them 3. Pro: great service, very nice staff and attentive Cons: ordered spicy tuna, Philadelphia roll, dynamite and California. The dynamite and Cali roll were absolutely tasteless. It was literally all crab meat and rice. Lots of rice.... It literally tasted like nothing, no flavor no texture... The tempura shrimp was tiny. The spicy tuna was giant slippery chunks of tuna with some odd red sauce on top it was not spicy it was OK but I would never eat it again. The Phillie roll was so terrible, I literally took one bite and spat it in my napkin again no flavor just fish rice and it was just a fail. Good appearance, big pieces but just taste/texture was a fail. Overall you get a bang for ur buck you get GIANT rolls but this is a kind of place that focuses on quantity over quality. I would stick with Cali roll there because it's little room For error for them to mess it up and try to make some Elaborate roll that is filled with bunch of nothing stuff and whatever sauce that tastes like nothing.... Again I'm sure people there are happy because their clientele is "Langley" people so to a person like me who is a sushi connoisseur I would never ever eat there again, but for your average joe who wants to have a safe canadianized "fraser valley-ized" sushi experience then this is for you. read more

Food was decent and service was ok. Although I do hate when you sit and wait for the bill. I did like that they had a forbidden rice option for sushi but the rice wasn't cooked perfect so maybe should have gotten regular sushi rice. Overall it was an ok lunch. A bit pricey though. It was 42 bucks after tip: we ordered 1 large japanese beer, 1 spicy combo and 1 red dragon roll. It was plenty of food but still feel like it was over priced for lunch. read more

I was very surprised at how fresh the food is here. My Miso soup to start was piping hot and perfectly seasoned. This i consumed very quickly as my take away order was being prepared. Tempera prawns, Yakitor and Chicken Teriyaki don followed in speedy time. My one complaint was with the person who was supposed to take my order, after standing at the counter for at least 5 mins without acknowledging my presence I decided to seat at a table, then another server was there promptly. one thing is for sure I will go back, loved the food. read more

I love this place. Great food and wonderful staff who are always happy to see you. The sushi rice is the best I've ever had and the fish is always cut beautifully. The crispy roll is delicious with a perfect creamy, spicy sauce. The lunch boxes are huge and the tempura is perfectly coated. Went there for a late lunch and had the teriyaki box (bento). It was empty in there and the staff were having lunch while I was in there. They were kind and brought me some sushi on the house. The California rolls and the tempura were great, but the teriyaki chicken was mediocre, and served on mushy fried bean sprouts. Extremely fresh tasting sushi. I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the menu is a bit pricier than most, but it's been great both times. Haven't tried any of their special rolls, but always hear other customers raving about their meals when they leave. Their food was okay , but they gave me a California roll instead of a dynamite roll. The food got to us fast but it took them 15 minutes to realized we were done and wanted our food packed up and she said 1 minutes not only that she gave everyone their food first before even realizing we needed to go .
