The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. I called before appointment to find out what their safety protocol was and I was assured they were taking proper precautions. Don't waste your time here. I had an appointment for an eye exam at 4:15, didn't get in until 5:30. The place itself is quite small, and needed more space for people to wait. Unrelated, but the benches they had to sit and wait were anything but comfortable. Completely unprofessional doesn't even begin to cover this establishment. Two of the workers that were to help find a pair of glasses were standing behind the glasses case, talking behind a piece of paper, in complete view of customers. Unprofessional. The actual eye exam took ten minutes at the most. Couldn't understand why it could've possibly taken so long, there were only a few people in front of me. I loved Dr Feder.. so when he retired not only did I not get notification, nor did our team, but when I made my appointment, I wasn't notified it was a whole new establishment with a few old faces still left. Thank goodness a pleasant experience the first time, but a routine exam and Maria was there. Fast forward to 9 months later, lost glasses and a whole lot of new faces, who know nothing about past clients! And another new Doc!! THANK GOD MARIA was still there. We maneuvered double insurance, contacts that a young girl insisted she knew what I was talking about (yup cut me off as well as Maria) that only after showing a pic in my phone did she realize she hadn't looked back far enough to see exactly what I was looking for. New doesn't always mean improved. And though Maria insisted they were all nice when I mentioned "the vibe had changed" I think that may still yet to be determined. I use to have to wait weeks to get in to see Dr Feder and Im wondering if I should have realized something was off when the girl said she had any day available. I will wait to see how this next visit goes, but if not well, I will be moving my whole team elsewhere. read more

Hi I recently was at your establishment and I went to go pick up my glasses . But I noticed there wasn't a certified technician giving me my glasses . It was the regular workers on the floor who gave me my glasses . Normally like any other eye doctor I have been to they have certified technicians come out and give the glasses . This is a big problem and I will never come back to this establishment again nor do business . This is also disappointing as well because people like me who have no choice but to depend on a eye doctor to see can not even trust an establishment like this. Not only did that happen but I waited way to long to even get my glasses . This is unacceptable especially for people who don't have entirely good vision with out them . This place used to be amazing/ pre-COVID days. I've been going here since I moved from Fort Lauderdale 6 years ago. I'd say I've had 4 eye tests and bought contacts/ glasses each time. Like everyone else, COVID has completely re arranged my life. Within a year, I've lost my job I was at for 18 years/ became a father to twin 9 year olds/ lost my dad/ lost my fiancé (COVID). It's been an uphill battle but I continue to play by the rules and help as much as I can. Case and point, i now have twins. Couldn't have them go to foster care. Anyways, I drive for work now and my left contact is MIA. Unfortunatel, to provide food and shelter for my family, I've had to make cutbacks. The cutbacks are 99% mine. Insurance/ coffee. Etc etc etc. I have a plan starting the 1st of June. I called to see if I can get a sample contact (which not only do they for free, they have tons of). A young girl answered/ I explained I can't see and need to drive to provide money for my family/ my insurance starts in a week and can I come in and grab a contact. she puts me on hold/ comes back and tells me no because my last test was over a year ago ... hmmmmm welll miss, covid is about 14 months out, so me not a test in over a year sounds right. Can I come in: grab the contact: pay you: make an appointment for June 1st. I was told no. The next appointment is not until July. I said soooooo I can't drive for 5 weeks. She said I guess not and hung up. Like really... who the f$ck will know you slipped me a contact. Will the eye police write you a ticket??? I will never go back. I'm on day 3 with no contact. Haven't worked. Called 99 places and because they have no clue who I am, they said I have to come in for a test. I can't spend the 300 when in 7 days it's free. I'm a firm believer in Karma/ like huge/ I'm sick to my stomach over this. This woman didn't give two sh&ts. The doctor is great and the stuff used to be amazing but a woman like that running the show/ My brother/ sister will never return and I'm hoping that my reviews will keep people out as well. I have gone to this place for my eye exam and to refill my glasses and contacts for several years. The glasses selection is limited so I have always reused my glasses from the previous year to replace my lenses. During my last visit, the employee Alex called to tell me they melted my glasses but they did advise that I could pick another frame. When I went back there was no apology and he almost seemed annoyed while he was waiting me to select a pair. Spotty customer service, and in addition, the products that they sell are defective. I've had two pairs of their cheap plastic eyeglass frames break, through no fault of mine, within the first four months of initially purchasing them. I then had them tell me that the warranty is only for the first month. They tried to con me into believing that broken eyeglass frames were common, when I know that they are not. They have lost me as a customer. They should be forced out of business. I even had one of the employees at one of the other eyeglass stores at the mall tell me that they have heard a lot of complaints about this shop. I wish I could give this business no stars !!!! My husband recently went in for a routine eye examination ! We received a bill for over $200 !!!! The night of my husbands eye exam I accompanied him for several different reasons. The front desk receptionist was extremely rude, the couch they had in the waiting area had some time of bug crawling all over it, the part that sucks is by the time we notice we had already filled out paperwork and off my husband went to see the rudest optometrist EVER !!! On our way out my husband turned in his spare glasses to be sent out in order for the new prescription to be placed. Friday 3/2/18 My husband said I have a weird feeling my glasses are ready which were sent out the beginning of February !! My husband called and they verified our numbers and stated "we tried to call you and your phones were disconnected" At this point we are both fuming and drive to the location to retrieve my husbands glasses in which they made him wait for fifteen minutes and didn't even greet him. I've called twice now regarding adding my written prescription to a pair of frames I already have. They've given me two different answers. One person said it would be coved 100% by my insurance. Now, their story changed and it will cost me.....much more than I anticipated. I'm furious. As we know, eye insurance can be tough and finding Drs. who take what I have has been a pain in the neck. I doubt I'm going there. If I do, I'll write another review after my experience. So far over the phone....they are awful...they are rude....can't answer questions.....and have lied. The frame selection may not be great but all 3 of the ladies there were wonderful, patient, professional, answered my million questions and kindly suffered through my impatient frame choosing decision that lasted much more than one day! I WISH I had not gone here. Long wait time, they didn't wipe down the three machines with alcohol or anything so putting my chin in I didn't know if it was clean right after a young man had just walked at I smelled no alcohol or chemical, the young technician was getting annoyed at me for my eyes watering because the light was very bright. I apologized and told her im really sorry but im trying to keep them open. She comments to the eye doctor what a time I gave her and he shakes his head while I follow him into the exam room. He had no patience to answer a question I was trying to ask, held my glasses like they had a disease while he checked my last prescription in the machine, and kept rolling his eyes when i tried to ask a night driving question. After all that it was 195 out of pocket for two options on the eyeglasses I didn't want and have never put on my eyeglasses before. And, that was very unexpected to pay 75 for a blue light filter and 120 for transitional lenses. I always get regular lenses the frames and exam were covered by insurance. Not the Extra options I said I can't afford that right now and the customer service woman that was telling me which frames to pick out shook her head like they have no patience for Medicaid. I think they make the options mandatory to add onto the glasses just to make some money off you coming in there. That's the first time I've ever had insurance not cover the cost. During a pandemic who has an extra 195 to just shell out. With half broken glasses I had no choice but to check out and wait for these glasses. I didn't personally find them to be all that professional, the receptionist when I first walked in had a bit of an attitude I just figured she hated her job then it unraveled from there. i needed contacts, and couldn't get them through 1800contacts unless i had a new prescription (which i think is bogus as it is), so i make the appt and after i am seen they tell me i had a multi focal exam and it's $200, but they will only charge me $150. what?! i literally said that. i have never paid that much for a CL exam. and why didn't they tell me i was getting a 'multi focal' exam? i told them 'good thing i have $150, what if i didn't?'. they didn't have an answer. they said it was because my insurance didn't cover it. i said i know, i never use insurance for CL, it isn't worth it. i am still going there to figure out which contacts are best, but i won't go again. read more

Went with my wife. She just wanted glasses for driving. Hers were ready the next day and were fine. I needed bifocals and wanted progressive lenses. The information provided when I signed in said they'd cost something like $75 extra (above insurance). Two years ago, I got bifocals from another store and they were covered completely by the same insurance. When I ordered the progressive lenses, they told me that due to my "extreme" prescription, progressive lenses would be over $400 more. I paid, and then waited. When the glasses were ready, they called and I went to pick them up. When I tried them on, they were so "extreme" I couldn't see a thing. If they were my correct prescription, I couldn't have walked into the store without glasses and a cane, they were THAT extreme (I wasn't wearing glasses). I talked to the optician and he said the optometrist had made a "decimal point" error (both eyes?) in the prescription and they'd redo them. I mentioned that I'd paid a hefty price for an "extreme" prescription when I didn't have an "extreme" prescription, and wanted to know if I'd get a refund. He mumbled that they'd give me something for my trouble. Right now, I'm waiting for my glasses and a resolution. read more

I only started going here because the Optometrist that I went to for years retired. When they were in the mall the service was tolerable and they acted as though they cared about customer service. Since moving to the new place.....NOTHING BUT ISSUES! I brought my brother's glasses in on 7/24/18 and was told a FEW days. 3 weeks later not a word. We keep calling and we get the run around. We had to order the frame blah blah blah. The glasses that my son, brother and I bought a while ago within days were loose and my arm even came off. And, I'm EXTREMELY careful with my glasses. I cannot express how much I loathe this place. I'm pretty sure that optical spot in the Galleria takes my insurance. I'm going there next time FOR SURE. Avoid this place. As others have said, customer service is non-existent. I ordered prescription glasses March 3rd. I went to pick up my new prescription Mar 12 and tried them on in the store. Immediately, I noticed something wasn't quite right. My vision was worse with the glasses than without. Lady in the counter insisted that I "adjust" to the prescription for 2 weeks before coming back. To top it off, they didn't even try to help with making sure that the frames I picked fit properly. All they care about is making a sale and sending customers out the door. After 5 days, Mar 17, I couldn't take it anymore so I went to my eye doctor to confirm my prescription. Doctor performed eye tests on me again and my eyes still the same. So then they verify my prescription lenses and discover the wrong lenses were installed over the left eye. Basically, right eye was near-sighted while the left-eye was far sighted. Good thing I didn't force myself 2 weeks to "adapt" as the employee insisted. I go back to this store directly after my doctor visit and luckily technician was there. Technician confirmed the wrong lenses were installed. So now they tell me they have to send my glasses back to the lab to get re-done. I have to wait another week before getting it back. Or so I'm told. After all that, they were just sending me out of the store without some ticket, receipt as proof of my product remediation. Luckily I went with my gut and asked for a receipt. Technician reaches under the counter, takes a blank receipt and pulls the customer copy then hands over to me. WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE? Blank ticket stub. Fine, at this point it's better than nothing and I leave. I wait patiently wait after 11 days and decided to call Mar 28. I speak to someone on the phone about my glasses and I give them my name. Notice that they didn't ask for my ticket stub. They put me on hold for 2 mins, then tells me they dont know the status of my glasses. They have to "trace" my glasses and call me back. I was charged $488 for prescription glasses that I do not have. It will be almost a month since I originally ordered. THEY HAVE A NO REFUND POLICY AFTER A MONTH. I have no other choice but to ask for a full refund before my time runs out and take my business elsewhere. read more

My first time and last time that I would ever go there. I had an appointment for 6:00pm. I walked in and the place wasn't busy. There were 3 people behind the counter. They looked at me as if I had 3 heads. After signing in, I had to wait 11 minutes before one of those creeps ask me if I was being helped. I told him that I had a 6:00 appointment. He said "no problem" and he walked away. The second person asked me to fill out some paperwork and asked me for my insurance information (which I gave her). She then asked me for my medical insurance card. I asked her why would you need this and she said that the doctor was going to dilate my eyes and that was considered a medical procedure (which is b.s.). I told her that in the past I never had to show my medical card. By this time, it's 6:18. I asked her how long was my wait time, she said "just a few minutes". In the meantime, the doctor walks out of his office and looks at a book on the counter and looks at me and walks back into his office. The bimbo takes my folder and walks back to the doctor's office. She comes back a few minutes later and tells me that the doctor was leaving at 6:30 and that I would have to rescheduled. I told her that I had called that morning and I was never told that the doctor leaves at 6:30 and why would you schedule an appointment at 6:00 when you know that he leaves at 6:30. She apologized and told me again to rescheduled. I was so angry at this point that I couldn't speak for a few minutes. I finally told her that I was not going to reschedule and that I wanted my paperwork back. She said that she couldn't do that. That's when I called my husband who was in the parking lot waiting for me and told him what transpired. He saw how upset I was and asked to speak to a manager (which wasn't there). Finally, one of the 3 called the manager and my husband told him what happened. The manager said that he wasn't able to find out what went wrong until he came back to the office the next day. This is my take on this, the doctor saw my last name and "he decided" that he wasn't going to exam my eyes. I felt humiliated and discriminated against from the first moment I walked in. Dr. Levavi can take his "beany" and stick it where the sun doesn't shine. THIS PLACE SUCKS. I'm being nice. DON'T GO THERE. By the way, I called my insurance provider and told them what happened. Been going there for years now and had no problem with prescriptions for regular glasses. I should note however that each year my family of 4 would spend $300.00 - $700.00 beyond what insurance paid. Always got glasses that worked until this year. Many staffers floated in and out through the years and run from middle of the road to Alex who is horrible, short tempered and rude to say the least! This year I had a pair of sunglasses made. over $300.00 and 3 trips back and forth and they still are not 100%. Had a second pair made, an additional $300.00 + expense to me (now i have $600.00 spent) and for this second pair its 2 months and 4 trips back and I still don't have a pair that work properly and the second pair have yet to be returned to me after the 4th visit. The lame excuse for seeing blurry through these new glasses range from its the curve of the frames to your not supposed to see clearly through the entire lens. What bunk! 2 months later, over $600.00 spent and I have one pair of glasses that are not correct and a second pair that they have yet to return to me! My advice is to treat them like Forest Gump -RUN FORSET RUN!! read more

Honestly I wish I could give it negative stars! (If that was possible) The absolute worst experience I had and a horrible doctor. All of the staff was rude, including the doctor. My appointment was at 1 and didn't get seen til about 2:10 and didn't even know I had paperwork to fill out until 30 minutes after my appointment time. The prescription the doctor gave to me was totally wrong! He claimed I am far sighted when I am actually near sighted. I had to go get a new exam and a new set of glasses! They handwrote my credit card number exp date and security code and left it in my file without ever charging for all staff and potential credit card crooks to steal .......... it's also against a vendors agreement w VISA...... that's why when scanned or manually input properly they only show the last 4 digits on your receipt ....... they are a credit theft haven waiting to happen .......Never give them your info over the phone. read more

Friendly salespeople and I thought the turnaround time was pretty reasonable for my contacts. I was totally thrilled by my new glasses, and I knew it would be a longer turnaround time for progressive lenses, severe nearsightedness, polarized lenses and anti glare, all things I felt were necessary. I saw other reviews about the Dr.'s manner, I don't know what expectations are for an eye exam is up here but I must say I'm a transplant from NYC so I prefer a no-nonsense, no frills approach, so this was just fine. The important thing is that the adjustments made for my new lenses are perfect! I was very reluctant to visit this store after reading some of the reviews. Fortunately for me, I was pleasantly surprised of how friendly the service was! I had a lot of questions and the woman behind the counter was very thorough and patient with me, as well as the Doctor. I did not have to wait long for my glasses and they were perfect. When I returned again to inquire about contact lenses, everyone was so nice and helpful. It is clear to me that they must be under new management. This was the worst customer service experience I've truly ever had. Christine was unprofessional and quite rude. We were interrupted at minimum 5 times for her to assist other customers or by the doctor asking her to assist other customers. I waited an hour and a half to simply order frames, to which were priced at $400.00 versus the $169.00 at Lens Crafters upstairs. They claimed they would price match the frames, and then called me two hours later to tell me they wouldn't with no reasonable explanation and some fabricated cost to me that I refused to pay. The manager Ronit went above and beyond to locate a company in Florida that was able to make my contacts. I was surprised and elated with the news and I am so grateful for all her efforts. Horrible customer service. Have been going there for years solely because they accepted my insurance plan. After my last visit today I am thoroughly annoyed and won't be back. I came in yesterday to see what could be done with my sons glasses since we purchased them 5 months ago and the protective coating is already coming off making them look 5 years old as opposed to the 5 months. When i came in I was told they couldn't find his file and that they would look for it. At that point about 10 new customers came in. Being the sales people that they are my issue was pushed to the side and I was left to wait over 30 min - after which I got up and left my information and was told to call back when they were less busy. So instead I go back today assuming my file should be found by now seeing as it's over 20 hours only to find out no one has looked for the file. After i became visibly annoyed they took the time to do a simple computer search to tell me that we did purchase these glasses in march(5 months ago). But the lenses are only warrantied for 30 day?! What??? But I was was eligible under my plan to purchase new glasses. What?! I don't want and shouldn't have to purchase new glasses after 5 months. That's inexcusable and the lens clearly have a defect. I asked if he was telling me that I need to purchase glasses every 5 months? He said no but you prob cleaned the glasses with a t shirt. No way. Tshirt or not. Glasses don't look like this after 5 months. All that to say I most definitely will not be back! read more
