Not as many stores as there used to be, but enough to still make a day at the mall a fun trip. There are ample places to get a bite to eat or quick snack. The movie complex and "Bounce" amusement facility allows for entertainment. There's also plenty of room for walking during non-busy times. read more

The Poughkeepsie Galleria is still home to one of the busiest and biggest malls in the middle Hudson Valley. Plenty of stores to choose from clothes to high-tech products, and of course food. A restaurant called 110 Grill is open and the Village Restaurant Pancake Factory (owned also in Pleasant Valley). Many stores come and go over time, which makes it difficult to find what's needed and for enjoyment. The anchor stores hold a shine to this day except for JCPenney and Sears which closed, bringing some less traffic. New stores have opened recently involving a lot of entertainment activities for kids and young adults, such as the Space Adventure Mini Golf course featuring arcades. With more openings happening, I see the Galleria still being a busy mall in the next several years or so, but the vibe has changed so much compared to the mid-late 20th century. read more

Public spaces cleanliness 5/5 Variety of shops: 3/5 Still a teen stop Food court: Did not use this time. My daughter and I miss the KOREAN SHAVED ICE. Too bad they had such a bad location. SUGGESTIONS: have shopping carts available at every entrance so one doesn't have to LUG BAGS across the entire mall to get to Target and back. People will purchase more that way. read more

The mall is clean and the food court had many different options. However, I felt the stores were pretty low end. They do have a Macy's, everything else was what I consider to be disposable fashion. What I strongly did not like is the presence of a pet store. I am always concerned that those poor little dogs come from a puppy mill. It made me sad and kind of ruined my trip. read more

My boyfriend just recently moved to the greater Poughkeepsie area, and we had a couple hours to kill yesterday, so what better way to waste time than at the Mecca of American consumerism, aka the mall? They've got pretty much everything you'd expect from a mid-level suburban mall, but the highlight is the Target, which apparently is new, and serves as a flagship store. Interestingly enough, the New York Target carries different clothing inventory than the New England Target, so I was pleased to find a few new pieces in their Wild Fable line that I love for purchase. The Target, like the rest of the mall, is well stocked and clean, but bustling with activity through all hours of operation. If you're looking for a mall where you can shop in peace and quiet and without the distraction of Hollister-sweatshirt clad teenagers, this is not the place for you. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to find my way around while navigating around the vast landscape of this mall, but the Poughkeepsie Galleria is literally Braintree's South Shore Plaza, except in Upstate New York. Wow! The similarities, right down to the brand new edible cookie dough boutique that I so desperately want to purchase everything from, were uncanny. All in all, I enjoyed my experience shopping here, and would return again. read more

STORES: Pretty much all stores I like to see in a mall are here such as Target, Payless Shoes, Forever 21, Charlotte Russe, Ily, and others. Bright and white inside. Clean. Small food court on the second floor. Movie theaters, Regal theaters. Was here on a Monday afternoon, and it was quite empty and quiet. Parking outside available. Sadly the management here doesn't seem to care any more. I get that things are tough for all malls but it seems like this place in particular has just let go. The food court has been in dire straits for years. They even managed to push out one of the busier Wendy's locations in the area. A Charley's is there for the time being but that place isn't much better. They were extremely late to the game with escape rooms, announcing they were adding one in Feb. 2020 right before things shut down, and no new news since. So it looks like that isn't happening. It seems like the 110 Grill is destined to never open. It's been "coming soon" for the better part of two years to no success. The PR team clearly struggles to attract and maintain stores here. Just up the road is a single plaza with J. Jill, Jos. A Bank, and Chico's, which are all upscale mall stores the Galleria failed to attract. Parking and exteriors are poorly maintained. They do next to nothing fixing dangerous traffic intersections or to improve the parking situation. Further, their parking deck is a continuing disaster caused by years of neglect. Their COVID-19 response is also pretty terrible. Half-hearted attempts to introduce social distancing combined with giant oversights creates problems waiting to happen. For example, they closed the food court seating but left tons of tables where people still congregate. All their benches are still in place with tiny little signs with even tinier print "don't sit here". Security is totally absent. Their is no one walking around and no one to make people put their masks on. Disgusting. All that said, and despite the Sears and J.C. Penney's both folding, there's a decent selection here. Macy's and Target offer just enough to pick through. There are barely any men's options in the mall, though. Most everything is geared towards women. One nice surprise is a Banana Republic. How this didn't close years ago is beyond me but I'm very happy that it's still here. This mall is still miles above the Hudson Valley Mall in Kingston, which makes it a draw. The sister Crystal Run Galleria in Middletown, owned by the same company as the PK Galleria, is doing much better and offers a much wider selection. Whoever's running the show over there needs to come to Poughkeepsie and show them how it's done! read more

One star is even too much to give this mall. All I wanted was to sit down and eat a quick meal while it waited for my nail appointment. Not one seat people just hanging out at the tables not eating. I take my food all they way to the other side of the mall and try to eat quick on a bench and 2 security guards tell me I can't sit there for 5 minutes to eat. Maybe they should tell the people in the food court not eating to get up. I returned everything I bought and will not support this mall anymore. It's really sad. read more

While other people seem to hate this place, I find it acceptable. This place has all the major stores: Sears, Macy's, JC Penny, Target, Best Buy, A&E, Aeropotale, Abercrombie, H&M, Forever 21, Hollister, Victoria's Secret, The Body Shop, The Bath and Body Shop, Brookstone, DSW, Express, LOFT, Old Navy, New York and Company, Banana Republic, Sephora, Aldo, Payless Shoes, and Hot Topic. I am not perticularly aware of all the good stores gone out of the mall but to me they have everything we need. Somebody said there is no bookstore or Apple. This is located in Poughkeepsie= definitely not a big city. So the best bet is you won't find an Apple store in Poughkeepsie. There is Bern's and Nobles on the same street. To me, the dining option is lacking. There are only 2 restaurants: Ruby Tuesday and Melting Pot and the rest is food court. They are dining options outside the mall on the same street. They have a movie theater inside the mall too. I think this is the best we are gonna get in Dutchess and Orange county. read more

This isn't my favorite mall but it beats the Jefferson Valley Mall which is the mall closest to my house. I shop here because I love all the stores along Rt 9, so I usually hit this mall on the way back down from home goods! I wish they had a Gymboree, Pottery Barn kids and kept Kirklands. I just left the Poughkeepsie Galleriia and was not impressed with the COVID-19 measures the indicated on the Internet, To begin with there were no Security Guards observed monitoring the Mall Common areas. I noticed several people defiantly walking and not wearing masks (Even with the Governors Executive Order). Additionally virtually no one was observing the one way arrows which would have resulted in folks walking in one direction. I spoke with a Security Personal in hopes my concerns would be heard. He stated that everyone has been violating the one way walkway rule. And that they stopped enforcing it. As far as the requirement to wear masks he said " we are doing as much as possible" and seemed rather annoyed I brought this up. At the time I visited the Security personnel were all congregated I'm the Food Court and Mall Management Office Area. This was a big disappointment since what is actually being done to protect people's lives falls short or what Mall Management promises. read more

I used to live in Wappinger falls, we used to go there all the time. they used to have some good stores. last time we were there, they were all gone. I liked the book store. that's gone. they still have a nice food court. I remember eating lunch there. I also remember seeing movies. I would meet me friends there , for lunch or to see a movie. Being a Dutchess County resident for the majority of my life, I've experienced this mall as a toddler, pre-teen, teenager and adult. I've seen this mall go from grunge to an empire--kicking the South Hills mall repeatedly to the curb until there was nothing left except Dollar Tuesdays and chain stores not good enough for 2001 South Road. After living in Albany for three years, I realized that the Poughkeepsie Galleria is always last to get "new" stores. For example, it took the Galleria at least 2 1/2 years to get a Teavana after the Crossgates (Albany) mall did. I know it doesn't seem like a big deal but it should to corporate. Right now, the Galleria is set to get a "Francesca's Collections" which has been at the Crossgates mall for at least 6+ months already. Maybe they're stepping up their game but either way, I don't see the point of going to this mall unless you live in the area. There's no reason to go out of your way to go there. The Galleria has every type of store you'd expect...unless you're expecting a bookstore, Apple store, Williams and Sonoma, Deb, Pottery Barn, etc. (Hint hint: Step up your game, Galleria! Typical American suburban mall, filled with all your shopping needs. The shops I usually frequent here are Banana Republic, H&M, GAP, Target, and Best Buy. There is a sizable food court with all your usual unhealthy fast food joints. The mall also contains a movie theater which is nice. I have no complaints here as the mall is usually kept clean and there are security guards walking around to make sure everything is kosher. read more

I took my daughters to the arcade store called Wow.......I left there saying wow! 75% of the games didn't work, there were no staff and the ticket machine was broke so my daughters had 25 tickets and couldn't cash them in. I was a manager at a arcade shop in kingston 15 years ago and I been to alot of arcade stores.....this is by far the worst experience and store I ever been in. I drove 45 mins just to go there because I wanted to try something new for my daughters. Live and learn. read more

I liked the Galleria a lot better in its heyday, when it had a more interesting variety of stores. I think Penney's is the only original anchor left. These days, there's very little to distinguish it from other malls, particularly Pyramid owned ones. Decent mall. This was the go-to place whenever we wanted to go clothes shopping without having to drive an hour to Palisades Mall. It's fairly big and has all the stores I could ever need. It's clean, good amount of parking spaces, security, etc. My favorite parts of this mall include the GIANT Target/Best Buy/Old Navy/H&M and the food court. We usually enter through the Target (which is bad because then we'll buy everything in there first before we even get to one store in the mall. The Old Navy is pretty awesome too. They just have everything. As for the food court, they have a nice big space with plenty of seats. As for the food there's Wendy's, Nathan's 2 chinese food places, pretzel place, Taco Bell, etc. It's definitely nice to have someplace to sit after you've shopped till you've dropped. (Literally.) They sometimes have fun events going on during the mall like fundraisers or small concerts. If you're around, check this place out. read more

This is your typical NY mall. I remember coming to this mall along time ago and it was nicer. It seems like it has went downhill a bit. The stores in the mall are normal mall stores macys, Spencer's, hot topic, hollister American eagle,AF, pac sun Zumiez. Dicks sporting goods, forever 21. Of coarse there is a food court with the most Chinese oriental style food locations I have ever seen in a food court. There is also a ruby Tuesday in the mall which is a nice switch up. There is also a few pretzel stores as well as game stores. I always remembered this mall being wayyy nicer than the mall in the middletown. I have to say a few years later and I feel like this mall went downhill a bit. Still nicer than the Middletown galleria Overall. Average run of the mill mall in the Poughkeepsie area. I probably come here biweekly to head to DSW for shoes on clearance. I also like going to the mall to head to bath and body works for candles on sale and hand sanitizer. This mall has average stores, nothing high end. I don't understand the low rating. I went there today and the mal was great. No higher end brand name here, but you can find all of the normal stores. H&M, forever 21, bare escentual, american eagle, hollister, abercrombie, old navy, victoria secret, etc. They also have target, macy's and best buy here. The mal was packed with people. I even find a place selling bubble tea. SCORE!! damn, I thought I have to live without bubble tea for 2 weeks due to this stupid business trip to Fishkill. Oh, I had a security coming over and asked if I am over 18. She even asked to check my ID. I thought that was weird. I went in here the other day because I needed to go to Hallmark and pick up a card for my grandmother's birthday. Prior to this visit, I couldn't tell you the last time I was in this place. When I was a kid/teenager, my parents would venture across the river to this mall, because they felt it was of a better quality and offered a better shopping experience than the Galleria at Crystal Run. My family did major Christmas shopping here every year; I bought my junior prom dress at this place. It was definitely a cut far above the South Hills Mall, which was fairing poorly when I was a kid, and has since died and been torn down. But that was then. While the Poughkeepsie Galleria still boasts slightly better stores than Crystal Run - for example, they have an Abercrombie, which Crystal Run could never imagine in its wildest dreams - let us not forget that many of the far superior stores have long since moved out. And yes, they no longer have a bookstore. You know that a mall is going downhill when it gets rid of its bookstore, because all decent malls have one. So: the bookstore moved out and Forever 21 moved in, and every high school student in Dutchess County converges on that place like moths to a flame. Yeech. This place gets a one mostly because of the food court. The prices at the food court are expensive and the quality is low. They also have three Chinese food places in the food court which serve the same food. My wife ate at Bourbon Street and not only was the food cold, their was little to no meat in the general Tso's chicken that she ordered. The rice was also cold and tasteless. Needless to say I had to return the food twice to at least get a warm plate of food. Lastly, I observed that they don't change the trays of food. I watched as the "chef" came our from the back and dumped fresh food on to the remaining cold food that was siting there for god knows how long. read more

If you like "Dicks" then you can go there and get sporting goods and fitness stuff. I went to Dicks last weekend and got something that I had to return and too my embarrassment it was the wrong size. I went to Dicks and they took excellent care of me. I recommend that if you go to this mall you should stop off at Dicks. Tell them they're the best Dicks out there by far I've seen. read more

This mall is the best store to shop at because there are all different stores there and whatever you are looking for from food to getting hair cuts the have great selection of stores. The food court is very clean, and I'm not disgusted when I eat. If your looking for something quick to eat go there, but if you want to be all healthy you won't want to go there.
