They got rid of McDonald's. McDonald's! I assumed it would be in that corner for all eternity, across from the arcade with the carousel between them. I never thought the mall itself would outlast McDonald's. Despite all the negative news about malls, Danbury Fair seems to be basically surviving. Maybe not as much the anchor stores, but the interior is packed with people on the weekends. The fountain is no longer huge, and I don't think you can toss coins from the second story. It's not as green colored and 80s as it once was (in the 90s), and the stores are "modern". Parking is plentiful, and the parking garage still stands going into the food court. There's a target now, with drive up parking literally down in back ... That part seems very quiet. read more

Nice size mall with lots of stores such as clothing, shoes/sneakers, jewelry, etc. There are stores for everyone's price range. Plenty of parking available. This mall is about 40mins from me in the hudson valley NY. Primark is always my main reason for visiting this mall. The food court has a lot of options such as Chick-fil-a which is a huge hit for my family. There are restaurants located near the mall parking lot as well. I gave it 4 stars due to the mall feeling overly hot that day as if their air conditioner was not working. read more

I see myself coming to the Danbury Mall on every occasion. It's not my main stop, but they offer a lot of alternatives for stores and food, which is nice, such as Chick-Fli-A and Primark to name two. It's too bad that the Poughkeepsie Galleria doesn't have these unlike here. I do however miss the decor to the mall, such as the big water fountain in the center. With things wearing out, renovation is needed and it turned out great. JCPenney is still hanging on at this location, along with Middletown, NY, holding on as well at the Galleria at Crystal Run. Let's see how much longer it will last. This is a wonderful destination to put in the books, with a large variety of everything, you name it. I'm just thrilled that this mall isn't too far from the Hudson Valley, even though it's in Connecticut. On weekends and holidays, be prepared for traffic in the parking lot and garage. read more

The mall acts like it's premium, but it's really Temu. It's got a broken elevator for MONTHS, the fountain in the middle has now randomly turned into nursery for flowers, and it seems like they're really trying to cater to the social media crowd with neon lights and places to take selfies, which is, as the kids say, cringe. Just went there today and was FLOORED that they'd have the gall to charge $10 for PREMIER parking in the parking garage in certain spots. This mall is located in Danbury, let's not kid ourselves, the clientele is mostly middle class, not these Ridgefield or Weston money people. The mall needs more stores for those people. Vans is gone but a Coach store will do better? Get real. In this economy, they're lucky to have customers in this dump. PS, where the heck did McDonalds and Nathan's go?? read more

Nice mall. Has to be a nice mall to for image conscious 'high end' stores like Apple to bestow their presence upon them, right? I don't particularly go by certain stores' presence in certain malls to appreciate them, but this is a nice mall regardless and allegedly it's the second largest mall in all of Connecticut. Two floors with plenty of shopping options or just to browse. You can take your Fitbit and have a decent walk around the mall, as it's long and spacious. There are other businesses outside the main mall (such as Longhorn's) that is a part of the mall, as well as other places on the immediate outskirts, including a Whole Foods. Too many stores to list here (they have a directory on their website), but you have a decent selection from those places that think they're 'high end' to standard mall fixtures like Hot Topic and Spencers - and everything in between. Plenty of eateries - whether for a quick meal or restaurants to sit in. Longhorn Steakhouse, Cheesecake Factory, Chick-Fil-A, Shake Shack, Chipotle, .....I could go on, but I'm sure you get the point. Plenty to choose from. Some are located on the grounds and not in the main mall. Parking lot is huge with plenty of parking options around the mall's circumference. As far as shopping, this is a good bet whether you're from the area or not. Worth a visit if you enjoy going to malls to shop or browse. read more

They have really great stores, like L L Bean, Brooks Brothers, Eddie Bauer, Macy's, Lush, Swarovski, and Williams-Sonoma. There are a lot of food options, like Cheesecake Factory, Shake Shack and Long Horn. The food court is really beautiful. They have a huge carousel. The Chick Fil A here is excellent. This review is about Macys only. I tried to get on macys site but I couldn't find a place to write a new review. I don't go there often anymore because it's gone downhill . I went a few days ago and I really couldn't believe I was in macys. Clothes dumped all over floor the racks had mixed sizes mixed clothes. Register is few and far between so you have to literally go search for one and get in a line. I tried on some tops the same style , same size fit differently for each color. So there's no consistency even in sane style same size. The filth behind the register was truly horrendous. Please macys do something. Why arent people working to clean it up ?? read more

Easily the best mall in the entire state. The lineup of stores is ever expanding, and the variety of things to do here is spot on. It may not be the biggest mall, but don't let its small size fool you. There are a ton of stores, including an entire Macy's, a huge food court, a nice retro video game store, and an upcoming arcade and bowling alley. On the wayside of this mall, there is an L.L. Bean and a Cheesecake Factory to the left of the main entrance. The mall as a whole feels very organized and well maintained. Each store has a sense of liveliness and fun to it. The free parking is another huge plus. Most malls in Connecticut charge their customers to park in their lots, but this one thankfully doesn't. They have also put a lot of good work and maintenance into keeping this mall in tip top shape. Lots of good renovations and improvements are going on here. If you are looking for an escape from this state's mediocre mall selection, this is it. read more

Great shopping mall. They have all the stores you'd expect and it's easy to spot from the highway. There is ample parking and plenty of parking. It is one of the nicer malls in Connecticut. The only negative..and this has nothing to do with the mall itself..is that Marcus Dairy the ultimate place to eat, located a few minutes from the mall shut down several years back. Miss it so much. Our routine was to shop and then go hit the Dairy. Doesn't seem the same but if you have never heard of Marcus Dairy you are likely not to know what in the world I am talking about anyway. As to the mall itself..well there's lots of walking but places to sit as well. And places to eat. I guess I'd say it is your typical mall except cleaner and just more luxurious feeling then most malls in Connecticut. It is absolutely better than Westfield shopping plaza which is the closest mall to me, in Trumbull. I would recommend going here. Danbury is a great city and this is a fun mall. read more

Parking on a weekend is horrendous, otherwise it's a pleasant shopping experience. With Macy's and Sears as anchor stores at either end, there are high end stores in between. Lord & Taylor, Williams Sonoma, Apple, Microsoft, and other specialty outlets. The food court has the usual fast food joints, but there are some that stand out; Chick fil A, for example. The carousel is an attraction that is not only children. The Teacher's Store is filled with creative activities. read more

My favorite mall in Connecticut. Great mix of stores, they have gotten decidedly upscale in the past few years, and I will always be bitter about them ripping out the giant fountain in the remodel because that is what I remember most about coming to the Danbury mall when I was little. I also don't like how the remodel pretty much forgot about the roots of the mall...it's on the old Danbury Fairgrounds for chrissake...I think they could have kept the old decor style - like the old light post designs and just redid the color scheme into the beige and brown oasis it is today. I also think they should have kept the gaudy neon sign visible from Super 7 that was fair-esque. It's not like the outside of the mall doesn't still have the green, brown, and tan scheme going on outside anyway :) That said, even with my gripes, I refuse to deduct any stars because that is just how much I LOVE this mall. read more

This mall has grown on me. Firstly, I love it because it houses, Primark, one of my favourite stores. They also have many other stores. It's pretty big and they have a lot of restaurants inside. There's a little employee-driven "train" that will ride your kids around the mall while you're shopping. I recently went here searching for gifts and items for an upcoming trip. I gave always wanted one of those spinner luggage pieces and the luggage store was actually having a really good sale. I ended up getting an expensive hard cover luggage piece for a fraction of the price. I think I'm actually due for a trip up here...yea, maybe we'll come by next week. read more

Danbury Fair mall brings back tons of feelings of nostalgia for me. So it's always nice to see how's it's changed and remained still remained the same. I'm very excited to see the H&M is making a comeback!!! Like why did Her Majesty ever leave ?!?!?! I can't wait to check out the full service piercing shop and love that we got the Primark a few years back! There is such a variety of food choices in the Danbury mall - from fast food grab and go like Mc Donald's, Chipotle - to sit down and chill like Brio or the Cheesecake Factory. Danbury Fair Mall is on the come up - new food court furniture says so! Great local mall! It's always been a staple as I was growing up in the area. I loved seeing the mall evolve (with the updated fountain in the mall center, to the new stores and food stores that opened up) through the years. It's always been a great experience shopping here. The staff (in general) are super friendly. Once I lost a relative in here and the mall security was super helpful in finding him quickly. Love this place. read more

I grew up shopping here since I was a kid so of course this is a favorite mall for me. Good selection of stores. Great stores for babies and toddlers. My favorite clothing store Lane Bryant is gone. They are in need of a good Plus Size store like Torrid or (bring back LB) because Macys and JC Penny are very hit or miss - forget sears for plus size unless you want to look like a frumpy old lady. I wish they had more Home type stores like Kirklands or Bed Bath and Beyond. Cheesecake Factory is a great addition, just wish there was a way to meter from the mall. The food court is okay... Perfect. Everything to the last minute details. I grew up at this mall and throughout the years it has always managed to be completely dead mall proof. From the spacious parking lot which seriously is massive, plus the parking garage on top of all that is a huge plus. Besides the food court, the wide variety of restaurants inside the mall and below plus being connected to a Cheesecake Factory you can rest assured you'll never be hungry. Across the street you have Whole Foods as well! As far as it goes for the stores within the mall there's Zumiez, PacSun, Hot Topic and even an Urban Outfitters all under one roof! There's constantly new stores opening up and even retro ones like a comic book store and Level 01 Video Games. Also the go to for shoe shopping. I could write more but definitely consider visiting this mall it's truly iconic. read more

Going downhill unfortunately, even before covid. I really only gravitate toward 3 stores in the whole mall, a lot of the spaces are either empty or taken up by brands I've never heard of (kiosk like merchandise), which isn't awful, but I took a trip to the mall today for the first time this year. I tried to use the restroom near the food court and noticed half the stalls were already marked out of service, while the remaining available stalls were absolutely disgusting, I will spare the details. Only two stalls were useable. I ended up just leaving after that because I was too grossed out. read more

Huge Mall!! coming up from Manhattan this mall is just HUGE! It is perfect for those rainy days full of great food, fun shops and fun things for the kids to play on. We went there to get away and found it comforting with many of the usual mall stores as well as the ones you don't usually see. Did i mention this mall is huge? The mall has it's own two tier carousel by the food court as well as a toy stores for the kids to keep busy while the parents take a break. Macy's, Lord&Taylor, JC Penny's and Sears are the main anchor as well as Dicks and Forever 21. read more

The Danbury Fair Mall was built on the grounds of the old Danbury Fair (hence it's name) and has been in a constant growth ever since its opening in the early '80s. I'm becoming concerned that it may soon become out of reach for the local blue collar families of the Greater Danbury area. The amount of change that has occurred is pretty drastic including the removal of the mall's trademark fountain a few years ago and the addition of higher end restaurants like The Cheesecake Factory. That's not to say that I still don't make a point to go here when visiting home. One of my favorite things to do is to take my younger nieces and nephews on the antique double-decker carousel in the food court. If you are shopping at the mall, make sure to let the kids get a ride. The food court has a variety of food, lots of choices from Italian or Subway to Chinese and American to fast food. There's a Ruby Tuesday's just below the food court as well as the aforementioned Cheesecake Factory too. Another thing this mall has always been is clean, which is an obvious plus. You'd expect a mall with this much space and traffic to possibly have difficulty with that, but no, the maintenance crew is pretty good. read more

My favorite place to go shopping for my 4year old. They have a great variety of kid clothing stores and a good selection overall. During the holiday season they have an amazing hgtv Christmas setup for santa clause and the Disney store has the most affordable prices for princess Barbie dolls. Also if you love Sephora check out the Sephora in jcpenny. They are extremely friendly, and so welcoming of customers. It's not crowded at all because most ppl will go to the main Sephora in the mall. The food court has great selections and there's a build a bear store in the food court area. In the area around the mall there are great restaurant selections and the service in each restaurant is fast and barely a wait. There's a red lobster and Olive Garden across the street and Cheesecake Factory in the mall. In the food court there's Nathan's, McDonald's and a cool carousel. read more
