I was so impressed I decided to get myself checked out, and Dr. Byne has helped me with a complicated and changing prescription in more detail than any professional had before. Dr. Byne asks thoughtful questions about context to make the best recommendations -- is my son's hygiene good enough to handle contact lenses? Exactly how far away do I hold my ebooks when doing my heavy book review reading? -- and is always kind and personable. I've moved away from where the office is very convenient to me, but we still take the drive to get our care here, because it's worth it. Most highly recommended.

Avoid this place at all costs…read more We've been customers for over 10 years and drove an hour each way for a Saturday appointment for myself, my wife, and our 11-year-old daughter. When we arrived, they informed us our daughter could not be seen because the appointments were virtual and she needed to be 12. They booked us without catching this. Our daughter was upset, and my wife had to schedule a separate in-person visit for her on a day the doctor was actually in the office. At that first visit I paid $550 out of pocket after insurance for my wife's and my glasses (basic, non-designer frames). My wife then made a second trip for our daughter's exam and a third trip to pick up all the glasses. She called ahead to confirm everything was ready. When she got there, they claimed a clerical error and said we now owed an additional $100 for my wife's glasses. The employee said she had no authorization to correct the billing. My wife was ready to leave the glasses, but I paid the extra $100 so she wouldn't have to make a fourth trip for their mistake. To make matters worse, the entire exam was conducted virtually--we never actually had the doctor perform the exam in person. $650 later for ordinary glasses, multiple wasted trips, a disappointed child, and zero accountability from a place we've trusted for a decade. The incompetence and indifference were unacceptable. We will never step foot in this office again.
