Before seeing the surgeon who did the operation, the technicians check eye functions and dilate the pupil. Everyone is so pleasant and at the same time professional. Late afternoon I received a phone call to ask how I'm doing. Monday I called because I noticed something floating in my field of vision in the right eye. I was a little concerned. They told me to come in as soon as possible and they will have the surgeon check it. I really didn't expect to be able to see him so soon. The Doctor was very reassuring. Everything was healing as it should and he would see me at the end of the week for my scheduled follow up. The front office takes care of billing the insurance.

Brion has been incredibly patient, professional, diligent, and meticulous with me and in helping me get the proper glasses and tools for me to function and live my life. With my prescription, the slightest margin of error can create distortion and loss of function for me. And the type of Glasses I can use are limited. It has been a lot to get used to and very frustrating and scary. But I'm grateful I have Brion as part of my team to help me navigate the eyeglass side of it. He is a master at his craft. It's hard sometimes for them to get you the "right" prescription and even for them to just be "normal". Well. Let me tell you about my experience at the vision center. I desperately needed new contacts and new glasses since my prescription changed and it had been 2 years since I last saw the eye doctor. I tried to push it off after covid was over but I was unable to. I needed to be seen! Booking with Walmart had me a little skeptical at first especially with all going on. I decided to still give it a try and booked an appointment 2 weeks out. Upon arriving , everything's closed off and only by appointment. They immediately do a temperature check and then let you in. Only one person per household. Everything gets disinfected and everyone's wearing masks. They make you fill out a covid survey to see if you or anyone around you has had covid. After all the sanitary checks, they quickly take you to get your eyes measured in the little machine. Moments later Dr Carpenter was already seeing me. I ABSOLUTELY loved her. She was so down to earth and real. Had short conversation but cool enough to not make it awkward. The Dr had me in and out in less than 15 minutes and absolutely nailed my new eye prescription! Seriously loved this vision center, the staff and Dr Carpenter. I hope they keep their customer service and sanitizing going post covid.

A Kingston mainstay for over half a century, I deeply regret not having visited before. Dr. Miller's experience and knowledge helped to alleviate any fears that might have evolved in my brain since my nightmare at Lenscrafters (see other review) last spring. Their prescription was spot on, unlike the one I got from the goons at Lenscrafters (see other review), and I actually look forward to next year's appointment!

However when I returned to pick up my glasses, she wasn't there & the one who collected payment wasn't as nice. She gave the impression she didn't want to be there. She wrote the receipt & handed it to me (just going through the motions), & I had to ask for a case .. she must've forgotten. I'd only go back when the original customer service lady is working. She knew what she was doing & listened to her customers.
