She and her staff are considerate, personal, and very professional. To give you an idea of the type of person she is, when I had LASIK many years ago, all I was required to do was to get to her office - she drove me to the vision correction center in Manhattan, because at the time it was the closest and best. And while the number and types of treatments have improved over the years, she still shows that same care towards her patients. After the LASIK, she put me on a slightly more rigorous regimen than average, and it was well worth it - the flap on the cornea healed almost seamlessly, with no problems since.

When I go every year, since everything is covered under my benefits we make the appointments and go get our eyes checked. When I was getting my eyes checked, the eye doctor (lady) was writing up my prescription. I told her that since my eyesight hadn't changed that dramatically, I would like to keep my same prescription as the year before. This made Dr Karen visibly angry, as I noticed her turn beet-red. "If you're not going to use the prescription, then why waste my time?" I told her 2 different prescriptions will make my old glasses not usable... but just a mask-wearing, self righteous, easily offended individual. Very unhappy. The other drawback is my glasses that we get from this place seem to get cheaper and flimsyer every year. And they charge for everything... It's just not a great experience

Through the years, I've chosen to drive to the Red Hook office where they are wonderful, amazing and professional (the only reason for any stars). Christine is awesome! They ended ordering them in clear, they try to act like the mistake is my fault and expect me to eat the entire cost. When I returned to have my glasses adjusted, the experience was disappointing. The assistant manager who helped me acted as if I was inconveniencing him. When I asked for an additional adjustment, he made a comment about my nose and said the glasses couldn't go up any further, which came across as rude and unnecessary. His tone was harsh, unfriendly, and not professional. He even questioned where I got the glasses from and whether they were new. I value good customer service, and my first visit showed that this place is capable of it.
