There is a new optometrist who supplements Dr. Descovich's busy workload. He is also excellent and used a process to clean the bases of my eyelashes and I no longer have burning itchy eyes in the evening. I *think* it was called Zest but not 100% positive. Just ask...you'll be very pleased. I will have this done on an annual basis I believe. They can actually check to assess the extent to which this issue is problematic and the procedure only takes about ten minutes. So worth it to have eyes that aren't burning and itchy! To give you an idea of the type of person she is, when I had LASIK many years ago, all I was required to do was to get to her office - she drove me to the vision correction center in Manhattan, because at the time it was the closest and best. And while the number and types of treatments have improved over the years, she still shows that same care towards her patients. After the LASIK, she put me on a slightly more rigorous regimen than average, and it was well worth it - the flap on the cornea healed almost seamlessly, with no problems since.
