I've been coming here forever, insurance permitting, the care and attention are top notch. The only change has been the addition of a beverage bar. It's a really wonderful idea. Dr Ben is a very good man. I feel great about him treating my babies teeth. I've been seeing him on and off for a very long time, starting with my eldest who is almost 20. She was initially with a non-pediatiatric dentist, but we really wanted to switch because the dentist we had brought her initially to said it'd be better to get her to a pediatric dentist. The person on the phone told us they "weren't taking referrals." Even after explaining that we wanted to switch to them because her current dentist was not a pediatric dentist, they said the best they could do is clean her teeth in 6 months. Now.. What is a parent to do? Our daughter needs work done on her teeth but the pediatric dentist office refuses to work on her teeth for 6 months and the original dentist says our daughter is more suited for the pediatric dentist. I don't understand customer service these days.

They are such a warm group of people who also have children and really know how to relate to meeting the needs of kids and parents. They also offered an alternative and more comfortable solution for my daughters tooth condition. I'm happy to share that I have found that very dentist. I take good care of my teeth and typically go in for routine cleanings every six months and rarely have cavities. But when I do have the occasional problems that pop up every 3 or 4 years, they are significant and costly. Normally I get ahead of things before they become an issue but with my big move and a pretty intense past 10 months or so, I had gone an entire year without a cleaning or exam. And then an old crown popped off when I was flossing, reminding me that I better get my ass to the dentist. I searched for a dentist on Yelp and was finding that barely any are reviewed around these parts! And then I found Mel Mel Dental with what appeared to be a very sincere 5 star review, so I took a chance. In all my years of going to dentists, I find my experience here to be the best of all. I rarely if ever, have to wait. There's a family-like atmosphere amongst the staff that makes one feel immediately comfortable. If you look at their website, they give a bio on everyone from reception to hygienists to Dr. Suditu himself. So cool! I actually look forward to seeing the staff and Theresa, the dental assistant, is particularly great to talk to. She makes you feel immediately comfortable as if you're about to share a bottle of wine rather than get dental work done. Finally, a note on painless dentistry. Dr. Suditu is particularly careful to explain exactly what is going on from anesthesia (he expertly administers the shot so that you barely feel it) to the procedure itself. Similarly, he explains your options and takes insurance coverage into consideration. These are all the things that can cause stress in a patient. When they took us into a room, it was not sanitized between clients. I did not see anyone on their staff go into the room after the last family left. I will be finding a new pediatric dentist office for my children. We go to the Poughkeepsie office at 102 Fulton Street. The entire office needs a renovation.

I tried to bring my daughter back for an exam at a later date but because she was scared, she cried and her teeth were again not looked at. Staff made no attempt to help make the situation less scary or give her a few minutes to calm down. The front receptionist also thought it was wise to make fun of my drivers license picture. I went and found another dentist who has the ability to work with young children and is professional. All Access Dental still calls every six months asking me to bring my daughter in for a cleaning, even after I told them we have another dentist. Why would I go to a place that has zero ability to work with young children and is unprofessional?
