Midnight Moo was dark chocolate-y goodness.

A fun spot with standard and unique ice creams and frozen desserts. This place uses humor to its advantage (next to a jar: "Cows aren't the only things to tip.") But it backs up the fun with delicious creations, including some laced with liquor. My non-alcoholic Midnight Moo had steaks of raspberry streaked through the dark chocolate. Peach included fruit chunks. It's a small spot with limited indoor seating and only a table outside.

I had a waffle cone with cookie dough and cookies n cream. My boyfriend got a brownie sundae.

The store is so cool and cute! They have lots of candy and popcorn as well. The ice cream was so gooood!

Absolutely LOVE this place! Honestly the best I've cream I've ever had, being super fluffy, flavorful, and soft!!! You can really taste the quality in all the flavors. I personally like getting vanilla ice cream topped with just hot fudge, which is outstanding.

The ice cream here is the best I've ever had. Great coffee ice cream which is my favorite.

As a result we have hit quite a few places in the St. Louis metro area, and the bar is set quite high. The Hill is one of my favorite neighborhoods in the St. Louis metro. I try to get down as often as I can. This summer I held a work even in the always fun beer garden at Milo's. It was a hot day, and the whole family wanted to get something to cool off afterwards. We had heard good things about Gelato Di Riso, and it is right by Milos. It is a small shop, but it has a GREAT patio and it is right by the piazza. I got the best gelato flavor there is (stracciatella) while my family got a mixture of other flavors. It was AMAZING, just the right thing on a hot summer day. The texture of gelato is just so creamy that I couldn't ask for anything more.

If I ever go back to St Louis, I would go out of my way to get dessert here.

For example they had a cookies and cream flavor unlike the common recipe and uses chocolate ice base. I also tried the London Fog tea flavor which was unique and very bright on the tongue. There were a few dairy free and vegan options but not many. You can check their facebook or call ahead to see those selections if needed. The shop offers ice cream scoops in all sizes and even kids eat free with an adult purchase. There is seating in the shop and outside for good weather days. It is pretty accessible as the front door and bathroom doors were light to pull open. The view to see the ice cream selection was at a reasonable height for folks in wheelchairs and kids to see everything well. This shop is very LGBTQ friendly and offers as a great space to gather for everyone who wants to enjoy a sweet treat.

They made a fresh pot of coffee and even went the extra mile to go get ice as we came in later in the evening and they had run out. I did tell them they didn't need to, but he insisted which I thought was outstanding. This quaint little café is so charming inside. It allows people to gather eat a sweet treat and have general conversation conversations where you can actually hear one another. They do have outside seating too. The chocolate cake was soft and as a non-cake lover I found this very delicious. Definitely worthy of sharing. I ordered a quiche to go. I had mentioned they didn't have the spinach feta pastry that I had before. The gentleman stated we have some in the back, I'm happy to get you one. So I ordered that too. And although this was only our second time coming, the fact that they'll make a fresh pot of coffee in my opinion is key to a great café. I will keep this in my rotation of places to go.

As I was walking to the door, I see a man cleaning the tables. He walks toward the door as I'm walking up to it. We're literally standing face to face with the door in between us. I smile, he is stone faced. I go to open the door as he walks away. The door is locked. I try a few more times, thinking maybe it's me. I look around at the hours again, but next to it is a "we're open" sign. I try maybe 3-4 times more before I give up. I walk to the window and he's sitting at a table toward the back, looking at me. We just look at each other, then he looks at his computer. I turn toward my car, then turn back around and he's still looking at me! I sat in my car, confused. He never looked back up from his computer, so I left. Highly disappointed.
