Bulgogi sandwich

Came here randomly to grab a drink and I am so happy I did! Tried the bulgogi sandwich and I gave it a 10/10. Love that they have different ramen brands you can make here too.

5 piece ubu, spam egg musubi, and bulgogi cup bop 10/10
Edward K.

The bulgogi cup bop with so good, had to ask for an extra souvide egg on top just like last time, so creamy so fresh... they're always generous with their toppings and their UBUs are always delicious, we got our usual eel and bulgogi but today we had an opportunity to try their tuna ubu, a new hitter 10/10. I'll be getting this from now on. I was skeptical about tuna but man it's so goodddddd, tasted clean, no fishiness at all! The staff is always so friendly, we called our order for take out and got there a bit late and yet quality was still amazing. Love this place, nice and cozy.

Great amount of options! Everything made fresh. Service was pretty speedy. Ate inside. I liked the grocery shopping videos they were playing on the TV. Prices were a little high and I felt like it could be more filling.

Took my mom here and it's our new favorite spot! All the fish was fresh and delicious

I have been to a couple self-serve ramen shops and this one always has me coming back. It's much more than just an instant ramen shop, they also have a wide selection of fresh prepared foods such as ubus, onigiri, and cupbops. The ramen + ubu combo is my go to and you can't go wrong with the fresh salmon ubu. The salmon is seasoned perfectly and it goes so well with the wasabi on top, it's a nice fresh pairing to go with the ramen! There is also a wide variety of drinks to try as well as ice cream, my only wish is that they added the Korean ade drinks + ice cups! It is a tiny shop with a couple tables and counters to sit at, we have never had a problem finding seating. The staff are always super friendly and are glad to help you if you don't know how to operate the self-serve ramen machines! I absolutely love this place, it's one of the best of its kind (:

This is a very small shop next to the tattoo and barbershop on harbor boulevard. I came here while my bf was getting a tattoo. They have plenty of options, but was recommended the Ubus by the artist at the shop. I decided to get a crab meat and a salmon one. The girl at the front was very nice and patient with me while I decided what I wanted. The Ubus came out pretty quick in a cute packaging with napkins and chopsticks. My favourite was the crab meat one but the salmon was also very good with some seasoning that was absorbed by the rice on the bottom making it very tasty! I would highly recommend the Ubus as a quick snack or meal.

Tteokbokki combo UBU Fresh Salmon

I was craving tteokbokki and I was satisfied here! The cashier was very nice to let me know that there was a combo deal of tteokbokki and one Inari for $12! That's a steal if you ask me. Food was absolutely delicious. I'll be back.

~ Basically like. Korean 7/11 ~ I went during their soft opening. They provide discounts to students. The salmon is my favorite one! They also have that self service ramen that went viral on tiktok. There's lots of seating inside and other food than the sushi pockets.

5 piece yubu
Sara H.

Located in downtown Fullerton, parking could be a little bit challenging during busy times. This place is small with limited seatings, and you place your order at the counter before finding a table. We tried the five piece yubu special, which was fine, but nothing stood out. They also offer self serve ramen, cupbab, nigiri, snacks, and more but we didn't see anything on the menu that would draw us back for another visit.

Combos!
Jhannell O.

Solid lunch spot! I love their combo deals. It's so worth! Their yubus are pretty big with a decent filling to rice ratio! I tried the fresh salmon, unagi, and crab ubu! The eel was a little boney which made it a little hard to eat. Overall solid!

The [CUPBAB] Chicken Teriyaki bowl is to die for!

Food was very delicious! Staff is very kind! And i felt very welcomed here! Will come again and I encourage everyone to! I LOVE UBU UBU!!

Ordered through the Yelp app from here. I was having a late lunch and had dinner plans and tried a chicken teriyaki ubu and a salmon ubu. Each one was $7.19 and they were good but not filling. I would recommend this for a light snack where you leave feeling like you respected your body's wishes for not overeating or eating junk food on your lunch break. It delicious and it's just enough, but for $7.19 you could get more elsewhere, especially if you're feeling super hungry. Parking is located behind the store, but you have to walk all the way around to the front of the store to enter. There's no entrance in the back. This place also sells Asian or Korean & Japanese snacks and they have ramen stations where you can buy a pack of ramen noodles and make it right there in the store.

bulgogi sandwich
Darelle A.

We ordered the 5-piece special -- fresh salmon, eel, two spicy tuna, and crab -- and everything was super fresh! Honestly one of the ubu I've tried in SoCal. We also got the bulgogi sandwich and wow... total hidden gem! So flavorful and surprisingly filling. The staff were super nice too. We opted to grab spam musubi and onigiri on the way out because of how nice they were. Can't wait to try it at home! Can't wait to come back and try the ramen self-serve bar and tteokbokki next time. Ubu Ubu is definitely a new fave spot!

The katsu was incredibly tender and practically melted in my mouth. I also highly recommend trying the katsu with the salt and wasabi they give you on the plate. It's completely different from eating it with the usual tonkatsu sauce, but in the best way. The salt and wasabi really bring out the flavor of the meat, and I ended up enjoying it way more than I expected. The portions were also really generous, especially for such a reasonable price. A special shoutout to the manager, Chris! He greeted us warmly, recommended different items, and was super friendly and professional throughout our visit. He definitely made our experience even better. Great food, big portions, reasonable prices, and amazing service. I would definitely come back again!

The udon noodles must be made in-house because I've never had udon this chewy before. Perfectly al dente with an incredible texture--honestly, the noodles alone are worth coming back for. The jumbo katsu was also delicious - crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and definitely lived up to its name. Simple menu, but everything feels intentional and well-executed. Sometimes you really don't need a huge menu when you know what you're doing.

Fifteen courses that are surprises because even tho there's a "template" of types of dishes, each one is ultimately the chef's choice. As each course was brought out, our waiter did an excellent job of describing what each item was and it's place of origin. Fifteen courses is alot to try to remember each specific dish so I decided to stay in the moment (after I snapped a pic) and enjoyed each one as we had them and talked about the flavor profiles and what we liked best about it. When my son had made the reservation he must have told them we were celebrating my birthday because in addition to the regular dessert course, our server brought me a birthday dessert which included green tea ice cream and a slice of matcha cheesecake. The full omakase experience was delicious and so fun! I told my son that it was like an advent calendar ~ each course we "opened" had us saying "ooo, how yummy" and left us with almost giddy anticipation of what we'd discover next. If you're looking for something fun and unique for a special occasion, I highly recommend the full omakase experience at Akashiro!

The restaurant was nice, clean, and very aesthetic with the people making sushi and seating available in front of them. Great spot for a date. We opted out of the curated menu where there was set meals for $85 or $115 depending on the tier you wanted. However, the pre-fixed menu didn't include what I wanted to try which was their ceviche. However, looking back you get a better bang for your buck if you do the pre-fixed option. We ordered two plates each with some hand rolls and it came out to a similar price if not more. The food was fresh and flavorful. It made me want to try even more of their options, hence the pre-fixed menu. 9/10

On the inside, the restaurant is on the smaller side, but clean, comfortable and cozy. All of the staff has always been courteous, prompt and helpful. For those of us who haven't had it, mazeman is essentially soupless ramen. You'd mix all the ingredients into the noodles and the sauce, and dig in! The char siu is smoky and tender, the noodles are perfectly chewy. There are so many textures from the ingredients. And the tie and binds everything together are the perfect noodles. And when your done with the noodles, you'd be served with a small scoop of rice to mix into the left over sauce, and voila, you have your second entree! Just as appetizing, with a different texture.
