Bulgogi sandwich

Came here randomly to grab a drink and I am so happy I did! Tried the bulgogi sandwich and I gave it a 10/10. Love that they have different ramen brands you can make here too.

5 piece ubu, spam egg musubi, and bulgogi cup bop 10/10
Edward K.

The bulgogi cup bop with so good, had to ask for an extra souvide egg on top just like last time, so creamy so fresh... they're always generous with their toppings and their UBUs are always delicious, we got our usual eel and bulgogi but today we had an opportunity to try their tuna ubu, a new hitter 10/10. I'll be getting this from now on. I was skeptical about tuna but man it's so goodddddd, tasted clean, no fishiness at all! The staff is always so friendly, we called our order for take out and got there a bit late and yet quality was still amazing. Love this place, nice and cozy.

Great amount of options! Everything made fresh. Service was pretty speedy. Ate inside. I liked the grocery shopping videos they were playing on the TV. Prices were a little high and I felt like it could be more filling.

Took my mom here and it's our new favorite spot! All the fish was fresh and delicious

I have been to a couple self-serve ramen shops and this one always has me coming back. It's much more than just an instant ramen shop, they also have a wide selection of fresh prepared foods such as ubus, onigiri, and cupbops. The ramen + ubu combo is my go to and you can't go wrong with the fresh salmon ubu. The salmon is seasoned perfectly and it goes so well with the wasabi on top, it's a nice fresh pairing to go with the ramen! There is also a wide variety of drinks to try as well as ice cream, my only wish is that they added the Korean ade drinks + ice cups! It is a tiny shop with a couple tables and counters to sit at, we have never had a problem finding seating. The staff are always super friendly and are glad to help you if you don't know how to operate the self-serve ramen machines! I absolutely love this place, it's one of the best of its kind (:

This is a very small shop next to the tattoo and barbershop on harbor boulevard. I came here while my bf was getting a tattoo. They have plenty of options, but was recommended the Ubus by the artist at the shop. I decided to get a crab meat and a salmon one. The girl at the front was very nice and patient with me while I decided what I wanted. The Ubus came out pretty quick in a cute packaging with napkins and chopsticks. My favourite was the crab meat one but the salmon was also very good with some seasoning that was absorbed by the rice on the bottom making it very tasty! I would highly recommend the Ubus as a quick snack or meal.

Tteokbokki combo UBU Fresh Salmon

I was craving tteokbokki and I was satisfied here! The cashier was very nice to let me know that there was a combo deal of tteokbokki and one Inari for $12! That's a steal if you ask me. Food was absolutely delicious. I'll be back.

~ Basically like. Korean 7/11 ~ I went during their soft opening. They provide discounts to students. The salmon is my favorite one! They also have that self service ramen that went viral on tiktok. There's lots of seating inside and other food than the sushi pockets.

5 piece yubu
Sara H.

Located in downtown Fullerton, parking could be a little bit challenging during busy times. This place is small with limited seatings, and you place your order at the counter before finding a table. We tried the five piece yubu special, which was fine, but nothing stood out. They also offer self serve ramen, cupbab, nigiri, snacks, and more but we didn't see anything on the menu that would draw us back for another visit.

Combos!

Solid lunch spot! I love their combo deals. It's so worth! Their yubus are pretty big with a decent filling to rice ratio! I tried the fresh salmon, unagi, and crab ubu! The eel was a little boney which made it a little hard to eat. Overall solid!

The [CUPBAB] Chicken Teriyaki bowl is to die for!

Food was very delicious! Staff is very kind! And i felt very welcomed here! Will come again and I encourage everyone to! I LOVE UBU UBU!!

Ordered through the Yelp app from here. I was having a late lunch and had dinner plans and tried a chicken teriyaki ubu and a salmon ubu. Each one was $7.19 and they were good but not filling. I would recommend this for a light snack where you leave feeling like you respected your body's wishes for not overeating or eating junk food on your lunch break. It delicious and it's just enough, but for $7.19 you could get more elsewhere, especially if you're feeling super hungry. Parking is located behind the store, but you have to walk all the way around to the front of the store to enter. There's no entrance in the back. This place also sells Asian or Korean & Japanese snacks and they have ramen stations where you can buy a pack of ramen noodles and make it right there in the store.

bulgogi sandwich
Darelle A.

We ordered the 5-piece special -- fresh salmon, eel, two spicy tuna, and crab -- and everything was super fresh! Honestly one of the ubu I've tried in SoCal. We also got the bulgogi sandwich and wow... total hidden gem! So flavorful and surprisingly filling. The staff were super nice too. We opted to grab spam musubi and onigiri on the way out because of how nice they were. Can't wait to try it at home! Can't wait to come back and try the ramen self-serve bar and tteokbokki next time. Ubu Ubu is definitely a new fave spot!

Food: We ordered the Galbi-Tang and Sul-Long-Tang, and our food came out pretty quickly. Both soups were really flavorful and comforting, and the broth was definitely the most memorable part of the meal. The banchan on the side was a little weaker compared to some other Korean spots I've been to, but the soups more than made up for it. Parking: They have their own parking lot, which made parking easy when we visited. I really enjoyed the food here and would definitely come back, especially when I'm craving a comforting bowl of soup.

You come here for Korean comfort food, metal dishes of banchan, enormous bowls of soup and stone pots hot enough to continue cooking your dinner while you eat it. And that stone pot is where I'd start. The gondre dolsot bibimbap was fantastic. Gondre is Korean thistle and here it gets worked through the rice with the egg, seaweed and everything else until the whole thing becomes earthy, savory and deeply satisfying. But the best part comes underneath. Leave it alone long enough and the rice against the stone develops that beautiful scorched crust, nurungji, which you eventually scrape loose and mix back through everything. That combination of the greens, sesame, egg and crispy rice is ridiculously good. There are dishes you finish because you're hungry and dishes where you keep digging around the bottom of the bowl because you're convinced there must be another good piece hiding somewhere. This was the latter. The galbitang was more complicated for me. The beef itself was excellent. Generous pieces, tender, falling easily from the bone and soft enough that our kids loved it. Plenty of green onion, too. My issue was the broth. I prefer galbitang on the restrained side so I can decide where it goes from there. Same reason I like seolleongtang arriving almost defiantly plain, give me the broth and let me dress it up myself with salt, saeujeot or whatever else I want. Han Yang has already made those decisions for you. The galbitang broth was noticeably sweet and salty and eventually it became a little much for me. That's preference as much as criticism, plenty of people will probably love it exactly as it arrives. I just wanted the volume turned down. The banchan was similarly mixed but mostly good. The napa kimchi was solid and nicely balanced. The kkakdugi was particularly good. The mustard greens, however, were ferociously sour. I like fermented food. These had me physically wincing. The dipping sauce for the galbi was excellent, though and I kept going back to it. Rice was average and a little dry. It did its job. Service was good and the whole experience was easy. The room itself has some age on it, tables are fairly close together and depending on where you're seated you may find yourself with a commanding view of the bathroom door. Nobody has ever requested the chef's table at the restroom, but here we are. Somehow I don't particularly mind any of it. Han Yang feels like a restaurant that knows what it is. It isn't polished into anonymity. People are here eating giant bowls of soup, mixing rice in scorching stone pots and getting on with their lives. And when a restaurant can put something as good as that gondre bibimbap in front of me, I can forgive a dry bowl of rice and a bathroom with excellent sightlines. Absolutely coming back. And next time, I'm getting that bibimbap again.

LOCATION: Euclid/La Palma…read more PARKING: Lots WHAT WE ORDERED: * Mixed Spicy Green ($17.99) * Knife Cut Mixed Spicy Noodle ($17.99) This spot made me love cold noodles even more! The noodles had a great chewy, bouncy texture, and the flavor was packed with umami. I did find that both dishes tasted pretty similar, with flavors that were a little one-dimensional, but that definitely didn't mean they weren't delicious. Sometimes, simple flavors done well are all you need. Overall, the food tasted fresh and hearty, and the portions were huge. I couldn't finish my meal and had to take the rest home, but thankfully, the leftovers still tasted great. Always a plus when the food holds up well the next day. I wasn't the biggest fan of their kimchi, but I know everyone has different preferences, so this one just wasn't for me. The restaurant itself was quite spacious, and the service was attentive throughout our meal. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and would come back when I'm craving a satisfying bowl of cold noodles.

The taste of the vinegar and mustard always leave me salivating. The mustard helps to clear your nose, so be careful not too put too much at once! The noodles are uber chewy, so make sure to take up their offer of cutting the noodles before you eat. The kimchi here is so good they actually sell the kimchi to take home and enjoy. Despite giving both red and white kimchi while dining in person, the white kimchi will always be my favorite. The white kimchi is not spicy, but still has the hallmark vinegar taste with the crunch I've come to expect. This place is very generous with the kimchi- don't be afraid to ask for another small plate of kimchi! This place has a modern vibe, with the beige and white tones. The tables themselves are equipped with a pull-out drawer than includes spoons, chopsticks, and napkins. This allows for quick efficiency when getting seated! Definitely a go-to in sunny Southern California!

It serves traditional Korean fare such as soups, stews, noodle dishes, and Korean BBQ. It's not an AYCE BBQ spot but they serve high quality meat. The parking lot is small but there is also some street parking. We arrived at around noon and waited about 15 minutes for a party of two. We got the prime non marinated Korean BBQ for two people ($123.95). Of the meats we got as part of the combo, my favorites were the brisket, boneless short ribs, and marinated short ribs. The meal also came with banchan, steamed egg, and tofu soup. The steamed egg was decent but the tofu soup was actually really good. It was seasoned enough and was one of the better tofu soups I've had. Our server cooked the meat and cut them into smaller pieces for us so the meal was easy. I also noticed he cut the fat off them so I appreciated the small details. The service was also really fast and they were quick on giving more rice paper, banchan, and sauces. The meal was pricier than even some AYCE KBBQ restaurants but you can really tell the difference in the quality of the service, banchan, and meat. I saw a lot of Koreans eating here (especially older folks) so I know this is the spot to go to. Note that there is a 5% discount for paying with cash.

Pro tip: when you order the cold noodles, they actually give you one large bowl of the flavor you choose and a smaller complimentary bowl of the other flavor, so you get to try both! My only comment is that the portions were a tad small for the price. Definitely more of a quality over quantity situation here, so don't come expecting your typical AYCE KBBQ portions. Service was great throughout the meal, and I loved that you can cap it off with a sweet soybean milk or coffee. Such a nice little touch to end the meal. Overall, really enjoyed the food and experience. Would recommend if you're looking for high-quality KBBQ and don't mind splurging a little!
