STAY CLEAR OF THIS FACILITY! While on vacation, I tried to make a payment online the day before it was due. Was unable due to an error message "try again later". Left 2 messages after hours and they didn't call me back until it was 1 day late. They received 1 of my messages (per Ambrosina who is the location manager) but she said they had to charge me the late fee. They said the system does not allow you to make a payment from a smart phone. Really???? I would think you would want to make your customers happy and maybe reverse the late fee. In the midst of this, while visiting the facility to drop a few things off, my husband needed to use the restroom. He approached a half-open door, walked in to find a man "pleasuring" himself. I called to let Ambrosina know and a regional manager was supposed to call me back regarding that as well as the late fee issue. Weeks went past and no return call. My husband called again, left a message and I received a call while at work asking me to remove my items from the facility within 14 days. They apparently didn't want to deal with an issue brought to their attention. Unreal on the lack of customer service with this company. Makes me sick! read more

RUN QUICKLY FROM THIS PLACE!!! Crooks, liars and theives!!! Sold most all of my belongings. I had a February bill and as of today...it has all been sold and the manager Julio told me to "get a lawyer" and hung up the phone!!! They completely took advantage of a bad but temporary situation so they will see me in court...and rather than trying to work with me and resolve it in a better way...the only thing the district manager was good for was trying to get me not to write this review...the worst thing you could do is store your personal belongings and prized possessions with these crooks and charletons!!! read more

Great Customer service! Everyone knows how stressful moving can be, I was already having a bad day. When I walked into u-stor-it I was greeted with a warm welcome and a smile. I initially didn't know what size unit I wanted. Ambrosina took the time to show me each unit, so that I can see which unit best suites me. I rented the unit from Ambrosina she was extremely helpful and answered all my questions. This is the type of customer service every facility needs. U stor it. Cheat people. First of all. First month free is a Lie. They didn't give me first month free. The lady told me it's already cheap rate so it doesnot make sense to give you a month free. Their Ad misguide the customer. Anyways I had to leave country for awhile so at last minute could not arrange any other place. So I parked my car for 8 months. And then after 8 months they sent me an email to raise the rent from $39.99 to $49.99. I called the lady to give her last month notice. I checked out on 10th August 2020. But they kept charging my credit card for two months more. They are bad people. Nobody willing to resolve the issue. If you call the contact number it goes to their customer service representative in California and you will be told that the manager is gonna call you. But they never resolve my issue. My suggestion is to be away from this shady businees. If you want to still use their facility. It would not be wise to give them financial information or sign such thing. Fraud people. read more

While I was initially skeptical about choosing a facility with rates significantly lower than the competition in a neighborhood I wasn't familiar with, all that changed when I actually got there. The front office staff, whose name I've sadly forgotten, was extremely helpful and outgoing, even insisting on performing an extra sweep of the storage unit before I moved in. While I was waiting, I was able to check the security cameras and, without going into detail, the place is quite well covered. Finally, the moving in process began. The inner lockers are behind 2 layers of password protected doors making theft highly unlikely. While the moving trucks have to wait outside for loading /unloading, meaning this is NOT a drive-in facility, the whole facility is on one level and has ample moving trolleys to facilitate loading and unloading. My crew found it easy to load up the locker and head back out. My only warning is North Avenue doesn't have a normal intersection near the facility. I've only gone there in the dark so I haven't figured it out, but I can tell it will take some getting used to. Overall, highly recommended. read more

What started off as a good experience turned very negative, very quickly! I went in there to go look at a storage unit that was much needed and everything seem to be going fine until I got to the lease and payment issue. Now I was told that I didn't have to pay first months rent but I was required to pay second months rent which seem kind of odd but alas. Then I Also wasn't told that I had to pay the $24 administration fee and he just took my card and charged it. After then paying it I canceled the lease and was told there was no way I could get my money back. I felt something really fishy and knew something wasn't right. How are you going to tell me that there's no refunds AFTER I paid and signed. The CSR who was in there got hostile with me and I walked out before things got worse. Called the corporate office and demanded to speak to a higher up. Spoke to the district manager and was told that I was not supposed to be charged second months rent so I was refunded my money. The CSR that was in the store at the time also told the district manager that I never came into the store and this was all over the phone. PLEASE BE CAREFUL YALL read more
