I just let it go. However, the next two negative experiences have motivated me to take my business elsewhere. I'm an honest person who doesn't stand for being ripped off. I went to my storage with my key, the guy saw me struggling on the camera and came with WD to spray the lock but I accidentally bent the key. He tried to say it was the wrong key and tried to get me to have them cut the lock and buy a new one. I went home got my second key an exact replica of the one he said was t their key and opened it no problem. I Wasn't happy with the attempt to rip me off but I let that go. Now after updating my credit card info last month they say I was no longer on auto pay and charged me a late fee this month saying I canceled autopay which I did not. Total lie. I'm leaving this month and saving money so thank you and your corporate greed as it has motivated me to move to a more convenient spot and save $. Yay! It will more than make up for the rip off of which they will not get a second chance. At least not from me. NOT properly climate controlled since new management came in August 2023. It used to be 74 degs…read more+/- and 47-52% humidity inside. Now, new management raised the thermostats to 78 degs which lets humidity climb into the upper 60s to 70s. Mold and mildew ranges that are not good for fabrics, furniture and bedding.. I've run a recording thermometer / hygrometer since day one and it was very consistent before August. New manager says corp made them raise thermometer to 78 and won't budge. Also, he said he was "not allowed" to share corporate contact info. WTH? We like this location; it's safe, clean, convenient, and the staff have been awesome. Now, it is starting to smell bad inside and other tenants have commented the same to me.

Although I hadn't been there in a few years, they both remembered me when I came in. They both greeted me with a smile and asked how I was doing. They remembered that I was going through multiple surgeries when my possessions were moved in! It was time for me to finally go through my belongings to see what I wanted to save, donate and sell. If I ever have need of a storage facility, I'll be back there for sure! They have great move in specials and the prices are very reasonable for the safety and security they offer. From time to time on our way in and or out, we have the pleasure meeting other tenants and when asking them about their experience here we only hear great compliments about the Team. It has been 2 weeks since a Security breach in my unit has happened under this manager Stephanie…read more The workmen were allowed by Stephanie to remove my belongings, go through my belongings and place my belongings back while they were changing the door and lock. I noticed my belongings ( butcher block table) in the wrong places when I finally received the new key, I went to my unit to check and thought something was missing, the workmen pushed it to the back of my unit. I was guaranteed by management nothing was to be touched. Lets make this perfectly clearn I was not allowed to be there when the door was installed and I never gave my permission to enter or touch any of my belongings. I did call the police to make a report. On Easter Monday when I pick up my key I went back one more time in my storage, moved around 2 boxes then locked up and left. Next morning, Stephanie the manager called and left a message, I returned the call as she was irate and claimed She had a video of me stealing the butcher block and placing it into my car. I drove there right away and in the office, Stephanie acused me of stealing out of my unit and placing a 300 pound butcher in my car. She pointed to a picture not a video. I asked Stephanie to produce the video and she couldn't. How dare Stephanie try to turn the table of blame. We than went to my unit, I felt Stephanie was involved, one of the workmen was standing there but didn't speak English so Stephanie had this man had a conversation in Spanish, I asked Stephanie to translate since he was motioning with his hands of moving things around, Stephanie stepped back and started to call me a racist, she repeated herself many times and made sure the customers going in and out of their units heard, I truly believe Stephanie was trying to start a race war to take the attention off of her giving permission to the workmen to rummage through my belongings. I asked for an investigation into Stephanie and to be removed from her position as manager. I am still going through my boxes bc of her allowance of invasion of privacy with thes workmen. I never had a problem with,Cubesmart till this management with Stephanie. I recommend not to use this storage facility, I also have another at Federal highway self storage, Deerfield Beach, they are great and awesome prices. And Cubesmart raised my rate without giving a legal 30 day notice after this Security breach, this business has really gone down hill, not managered well., horrible! and not in the best neighborhood. Very disappointed Cubesmart hired by DEI instead of qualified staff.

I am currently renting a unit from Cube Smart in Deerfield and have been there for a month. Upon…read moremoving my stuff into the unit, I was told they would soon be putting on brand new doors to all of the outside units. The new door looked great when I arrived, but upon opening the unit up, I see a thick layer of debris from their construction job all over every single thing in there. Most importantly, it's all over my motorcycle that I just had detailed for $200 in preparation to sell it. Not only will it take hours to clean every single thing in my unit (10x10 filled to the brim), but now I cannot sell my motorcycle yet and I need to pay to have the bike detailed again. I spoke with the manager immediately and she told me the owner Ali offered me 1/2 month free rent. Unfortunately, that won't even cover the detailing of the bike. After expressing disappointment in this solution, she asked me to call the owner at his office. I tried multiple times without any answer. I then told the manager that I was having trouble getting ahold of him, and she told me to try again. I've now left a couple voicemails, called him several times, and called the main office several times. It's been a couple weeks now without response from the owner Ali, and it's time to pay the monthly bill. If you're seeing this, Ali, please reach out to me so we can resolve this.
