DO NOT STORE WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!! In the middle of moving as a hurricane moves North. This company does not know how to regionalize their emergency management planning. The hurricane has passed north of my location and this company decides to shut down the entire state of Florida. I received (4) email communications from this company regarding the storm. (1) Your site is locked down. (2) Please disregard your site is not locked down. (3) Redundant disregard your site is not locked down. (4) Your site and the entire state is locked down. This company cannot be trusted when planning a logistics exercise using their services. Previously my review was five star review and I just re-edited it down to a two star. DON'T USE SMARTSTOP STORAGE! Their insurance won't cover you if there is a break-in. Take a tip from me: Store your goods at some other facility. SmartStop storage facility requires insurance as part of the renters agreement. I opted to pay for the insurance they offer. But after four years at the Delray location, someone broke into my unit by bending the locked door hasp and stole some valuable equipment. I learned two things: There are no video cameras INSIDE the facility and SmartStop is self-insured. THEY are the ones that decide whether or not to pay a claim. Been a customer for years and with the new owners, it has gone from a 10 to a 0. Now it's all about fees for them when everyone is dealing with COVID. It is the worst of the worst in terms of taking advantage of people. Horrible place. Everything is a fee (and not just an understandable late fee). This place makes Bank of America look like Girl Scouts. I have not seen a company TAKE ADVANTAGE of COVID-19 like this. Seriously. Who texts you from a SPAM number and then when you reply it says "Sorry, we are not able to receive messages on this line." and then they charge another FEE. Scam. Overpriced. Thieves. read more

We have used smart stop self storage for a few years now and they have always been helpful. The facility is clean and easy to get into when ever you need to. We have downsized and cleaned out or storage so I spoke to Nadine who very kindly offered to help close out or account. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for spacious air condition units all our items were removed in the same condition and that gets 5 stars! read more

This company advertises itself as "Stress-Free Storage Experience" "...no long-term contracts, and modern units you can depend on." Well, the one thing you may experience is your monthly cost exceeding the rate of inflation by 600%. My rate in just a couple of years has gone up 25% while services have decreased. IN JUST THE LAST SIX MONTHS MY BILL HAS SKYROCKETED BY 9.7% !!! What do they have to say about it? Who knows. I have emailed the address on the website (twice). I have also written to them online through the "Contact us" tool on the corporate website. I have texted the number of my office on the number they have texted me (without it being rejected (twice). I have stopped into the office and spoken to someone who said they personally had no power to do anything but are taking very good notes so either the location manager or division manager would definitely contact me the next day (it has now been a month since my visit). That was exactly one month ago. All other communication began two months ago. Ironically the last letter they sent saying that they'd again jack my rate up another 5% said it was to better serve their customers. I guess they figure if they just keep raising everyone's prices after they move in, it may be too much work for them to go someplace more fair. Awful, literally full of cockroaches and other bugs. I was told that it was sprayed and taken care of regularly but everytime I went to my unit, there were bugs and cockroaches or cockroach pieces everywhere! Seriously overpriced for a non-AC unit! Only reason I gave it 2 stars is because their customer service phone line is actually wicked fast and the people behind the desk are not impossible to work with. Also the keypad to enter the gate code upon entering always gave me a static shock beyond my belief. read more

I would give ZERO if I could. They wasted my time filling out all the paperwork for a 5x12 storage unit and then showed it to me.....It was MAYBE 6.5 x 7.5 !!! They told me the sizes are APPROXIMATE. What BS! Tried to UPSELL me to the next size. Go someplace else or bring your tape measure! Owner never returned my email. read more

Fantastic service. Needed a place to store furniture and was greeted by fantastic pros. They took care of my needs, even while driving around looking at different units in the rain. Never seen a cleaner A/C storage area. I would recommend this self storage to anyone looking for storage in Delray Beach. Very pleased with price and service. read more
