I have rented storages unites in 5 or 6 different states for a few months at a time or years at a time. Some have been great, some have been challenging and most have been simply fine. What I appreciated most about my recent experience with Public Storage is the ease of getting into a unit. It was Sunday afternoon and needed to sort something out ASAP. I went online, looked at locations nearby to find the best price and distance for the size I needed. The site was easy to navigate and I choose a locations. I reserved the spot. A few moments later I got a message to get the app and fill out some paperwork. I filled it out easily and and completed the purchased for the space. Not knowing what would happen next I drove over to the the location to drop of stuff. No one was in the office... uh oh. There was a sign on the door that said sign into your app and get all the things you need. Within moments, I had the code to the gate, went to my unit, there was some paperwork on the insurance I got and a lock to lock the unit. ALL AUTOMATED and simple and easy. Nice work Public Storage. The worst experience Ive ever had with a storage company ever. The management attitude and consideration for the infested unit we went back to is dispicable. People running extension cords to live in units which most likely brought the roaches and vermin that were iving in our space for 5 weeks we had it. I told my duaghter to leave the items and I would fly from Jersey to empty it. She was so disgusted and upset. We hired an exterminator to spray the unit and leave it for a few days to get what we could but only personal items and made sure to clean everything individually before repackaging. I told my daughter to take what she could and leave the rest and I will empty when I get there in a few days. Upon flying out and renting a truck for 4 hrs to remove items I found my unit locked. I called the office which noone is ever at at 1:46pm and was told someone would get there in 30 minutes. Again I asked them why they would lock my unit I told my daughter to purposely leave it unlocked for me. The rude ass mangare stated they cant leave units unlocked its policy. But I have an email stating that they did a routine inspection and found my unit unlocked and THEY CAN NOT LOCK IT so please come secure it. So whatever is left in that unit is now their problem. Not even the decency to answer my calls or messages when i found out the infestation in the unit. I had a friend go there and they told her insurance will pay. Well low and behold I purchased the insurance but it only covers $250 for infestation or insects and vermin.... Go figure. They know they have an issue but turn the cheek when they happen and blame the insurance company. I lost thoushnads of dollars in stuff I left so if they dont care neither do i. Went to the Public Storage today to try to resolve an account issue with my unit which I have had for a long time and was treated like a criminal. Tyler who I had to deal with was rude, confrontational and threatened to call the sheriff because I was asking some questions about my unit. I will have to go back again but I will definitely not go alone after this encounter. Terrible!! read more

I was told it was temperature control but when I got there, it wasn't when I asked to switch I was told I would have to pay the difference and also would not be able to get the promotional deal. Very disappointed. I would've done the other one in the first place. read more

We rented a space for my daughters car on July 8th and on July 12 we received a letter that the car now needs to be moved for a project at that location for 6 days starting August 6th!! Obviously the property manager knew about the upcoming project but callously decided NOT to inform us of the project happening only the next month. This is a breech of common sense business ethics and a stain on the reputation of Public Storage!! My daughter lives out of town and I live in AZ. There is no one to move this care and Rene the property manager at this location is not only unhelpful but down right rude!! read more

I've been at this location for almost a year. Tammy and Donna have been very friendly and helpful. My unit is one of the biggest I have found anywhere. It is a 15x30 with an extremely high ceiling and both a garage door and a smaller entry as well. The property is well maintained and clean. With a gas station/convenience store right next door, the choice of where to store your valuables is simple. read more

Advised office a week ago, no problem work order submitted; week later, still not working. Advised office again, no problem.....work order submitted. 9/21//17 Tammy was a former manager. she is LONG Gone. The place is poorly maintained. We are paying for an "air conditioned" space. What you get is not residential air conditioning. All their AC does is dehumidify the air which is probably all you need in South Florida. Unfortunately, more than once I've gone into the building housing our locker and it was hotter inside than outside. The outside doors to many "inside" storage unit corridors do not close properly due to poor Maintenance. The door closers are either broken OR the door frames are warped. I have repeatedly mentioned this to the office AND in emails to Corporate. It's a waste of time. They have never been fixed. When I went to the locker on the above date, four outside doors to interior "air conditioned" lockers were open including the one to the corridor that houses our locker. My car thermometer read 91 degrees. Unfortunately, it is not worth the effort for us to rent a locker with a different company. My recommendation is that if you are looking for a storage locker: A- Look for another company. OR B- Consider another Public Storage location - you might have better luck than we did. Finally, the Corporate office could not care less. They take forever to respond to customer communications and when they do, it's as if they have an AI program to type the responses. read more

I stopped in to inquire if I can use the restroom. Donna was on duty at the time. She let me in behind the gate , directed me to the restroom and then gave me the keys. I'm usually weary about using public restroom, but I must say the restroom was very clean and smelled good. I gave the keys back to Donna. While I was there I inquired about storage rates and the prices of cardboard boxes. Donna was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. She has a great attitude and very funny. I felt like I knew her for years. Upon leaving the property I must say it was very clean. I will be back soon and I will recommend my friends and family. Thanks again Donna!!!! read more

I made a reservation online, and when i showed up to pay for my unit 2 days later and 2 days before they didn't have it available anymore. I lost my keys , yes my fsult. I went to public storage to figure out what to do. She, the manager, was so busy on a personal call she couldn't be bothered to help me. She told me I had to call pop a lock. Pop a lock is close to 200. As are most locksmiths. I recently attempted to cut the lock off myself. That is nono. When you lose your keys, which happens often, cutting locks off is a service that public storage provides. The manager couldn't be bothered be to tell me that because she was too busy on a personal phone call and couldn't take 2 minutes to fill out a paper. I have been to public storage 3x this week. The young lady Monday was very pleasant and apologized profusely for the way I had been treated. She told me about public storage cutting off the locks. I went back on Tuesday and it had not been cut yet. They wanted to make sure I had another lock. I assured them I did. Nobody told me the lock needed to be colored and placed on the unit. It now is, and I still cannot get into my unit. I am still waiting to get the lock cut off. The manager needs to get off her cell phone and put it away when a Customer comes in.
