Rats must have entered my 10' x 15' storage unit from the non-caged overhead space and an extreme amount of rat excrement was found all around and over the personal property. I complained to Public Storage as I had paid for insurance at the time of the initial rental but they denied all but $100 of my claim for disgustingly toxic conditions and haven't even paid me that yet claiming I must sign a Release of all Claims. Public Storage should be sued for fraud because they never told me that in addition to the $15 per month for property damage insurance, I would have to pay an additional $4 per month for rodent infestation damages. The insurance is a scam and the storage unit is toxic. read more

The lady that works this location is a thief. She signed me up for a 5x10 when I specifically asked for and WAS SHOWN a 10x10. She then played like she wasn't there when I went to return the keys. Smart Stop self storage is a few block away, less expensive, more honest and their units don't smell like a dead body. read more

I have always used Public Storage, this last time will be my very last time. My husband had a space, one unit with 2 locks, they called from the 3400 Congress Ave every day for 2 weeks to get the 2nd lock off,I told them we will and reminded them the space was paid up till the end of the month, we went there yesterday with my son to cut the lock off and our gate code would not work, then the desk/manager pulls up at 11:30 am and said he cut the lock off the lock the day before, he said if we want he will give us another lock, the point is it was paid for and now this morning I get a call from Public storage on Federal Highway that my Son himself cut off and we moved out, leaving the door open as requested. he said nowhere is a lock on it,I said there is no lock on it unless you rented it to another person. this has been 2 weeks of pure harassment. thank God, I have witnesses to both the voice messages and speaking to the Managers at each location. the Federal Highway location I asked don't you have some thing better to do than harass me,I suggest you do it. read more

Public storage in Boynton Beach or Federal highway. I opened my renting agreement too early the lady convinced me to take it otherwise I would lose it so I rented it early one entire month I got the smallest one with mid size 50 square feet anyway I was supposed to go in there on the 15th of August I only got some of my stuff September 2nd now to set it up the unit itself is $133 per month plus if all the fees came to close to 185 dollars then they told me my first payment would be in October only to find out my next payment is September which I don't quite understand. But you got to remember to bring a headlamp the one that kind of straps your head if you're going to go there and expect to see inside the unit cuz there's no electricity inside the units which I find kind of weird if they could have put motion sensor lights inside the unit it would be a lot easier the only easiest part I got is going through the back door and when I open the door my unit is right there no carts or inside the wheel your stuff around if you have to. Anyway overall good customer service the app is great I mean you can wheel up to the gate with Bluetooth and the door will open automatically but now I found the place in Boca and I'm hoping that they have a relocation spot for me where I could just move my account to an area closer to that place I'm living or eventually I may not need it at all it's a temporary spot to hold a couple things extra until I can locate another place. Sept 3rd God opportunity Awesome I hope I'm allowed to move the storage location they must have other locations southbound cuz my new place is 15 miles to 20 miles away from this one other than that it's a pretty good place that's why I gave it four stars read more

I've had a unit at this location for 13 years. Over the last 2 years. I've been broken into TWICE. The first time was my fault...cheap lock... burglars cut the lock...etc....Next I purchased the "HEAVY DUTY" lock at the front desk. Yesterday the burglars just "pulled the door open." The framework is made of such thin "tin" and locking bar that slides over into the door jam is so thin it just BENT when the burglar pulled the door open. Both times I notified the front office but never received ANY follow up from any supervisor or manager. The "air conditioned" units are not as AIR CONDITIONED as they use to be (I'm sure it to save money) but several times I've been there to find a "Tenant" sleeping in the unit next to mine! ??? The second time my unit was burglarized, the hallway smelled like someone had been smoking pot when I entered the building. Long Time Customer...time to move on for me. read more

Apparently this place gets broken into every night multiple times. I live in the neighborhood right next door and without fail at 9:30 pm the alarm starts going off and continues to do so every 5-10 minutes well into the middle of the night. Quite annoying. read more
