It has been 2 weeks since a Security breach in my unit has happened under this manager Stephanie. The workmen were allowed by Stephanie to remove my belongings, go through my belongings and place my belongings back while they were changing the door and lock. I noticed my belongings ( butcher block table) in the wrong places when I finally received the new key, I went to my unit to check and thought something was missing, the workmen pushed it to the back of my unit. I was guaranteed by management nothing was to be touched. Lets make this perfectly clearn I was not allowed to be there when the door was installed and I never gave my permission to enter or touch any of my belongings. I did call the police to make a report. On Easter Monday when I pick up my key I went back one more time in my storage, moved around 2 boxes then locked up and left. Next morning, Stephanie the manager called and left a message, I returned the call as she was irate and claimed She had a video of me stealing the butcher block and placing it into my car. I drove there right away and in the office, Stephanie acused me of stealing out of my unit and placing a 300 pound butcher in my car. She pointed to a picture not a video. I asked Stephanie to produce the video and she couldn't. How dare Stephanie try to turn the table of blame. We than went to my unit, I felt Stephanie was involved, one of the workmen was standing there but didn't speak English so Stephanie had this man had a conversation in Spanish, I asked Stephanie to translate since he was motioning with his hands of moving things around, Stephanie stepped back and started to call me a racist, she repeated herself many times and made sure the customers going in and out of their units heard, I truly believe Stephanie was trying to start a race war to take the attention off of her giving permission to the workmen to rummage through my belongings. I asked for an investigation into Stephanie and to be removed from her position as manager. I am still going through my boxes bc of her allowance of invasion of privacy with thes workmen. I never had a problem with,Cubesmart till this management with Stephanie. I recommend not to use this storage facility, I also have another at Federal highway self storage, Deerfield Beach, they are great and awesome prices. And Cubesmart raised my rate without giving a legal 30 day notice after this Security breach, this business has really gone down hill, not managered well., horrible! and not in the best neighborhood. Very disappointed Cubesmart hired by DEI instead of qualified staff. read more

I am currently renting a unit from Cube Smart in Deerfield and have been there for a month. Upon moving my stuff into the unit, I was told they would soon be putting on brand new doors to all of the outside units. The new door looked great when I arrived, but upon opening the unit up, I see a thick layer of debris from their construction job all over every single thing in there. Most importantly, it's all over my motorcycle that I just had detailed for $200 in preparation to sell it. Not only will it take hours to clean every single thing in my unit (10x10 filled to the brim), but now I cannot sell my motorcycle yet and I need to pay to have the bike detailed again. I spoke with the manager immediately and she told me the owner Ali offered me 1/2 month free rent. Unfortunately, that won't even cover the detailing of the bike. After expressing disappointment in this solution, she asked me to call the owner at his office. I tried multiple times without any answer. I then told the manager that I was having trouble getting ahold of him, and she told me to try again. I've now left a couple voicemails, called him several times, and called the main office several times. It's been a couple weeks now without response from the owner Ali, and it's time to pay the monthly bill. If you're seeing this, Ali, please reach out to me so we can resolve this. read more

Let me tell you what CubeSmart did to me and how it could happen to you. As it is within the boundaries' of my first amendment rights. Here is the letter I sent to their CFO Timothy Martin. Mr. Martin, It is with great disappointment with CubeSmart that I must contact you. I was a client of your Deerfield Beach, Florida facility until June 10, 2024 when my storage lot was auctioned. I was then contacted by text on June 12, 2024 for payment. I was made aware of this action on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 when I called to make as payment of $318. I was a client for 22 months and spent approx. $5500 Your managers not only sold off all the contents to which I have a list of. They sold off priceless religious book that were my great-grandfathers that came from Russia. Over 100 of them all between 100-120 years old. Never to be published again. I suspect you have a law degree and are familiar with the Talmud, Mishna and Gomorrah. If you are not, tap the shoulder of any lawyer or judge for an explanation. As per the requirements in Florida Lien Law 83.801-83.809 for such actions. You're company disregarded every requirement set forth by the law. A claim has been filed in Small Claims court in Deerfield Beach, Florida on Friday, July 12, 2024 for the amount of $7679. Not including the books to which, your regional manager contacted the purchaser of my lot and told her they were dropped at Goodwill in Boca Raton, FL. If your office in Plantation has not been served to this date, they will be soon. I have been indigent and homeless for two years and have only recently taken a position as Director of Estimating at a large general contractor. While I'm sure a judge will be ecstatically happy to hear what CubeSmart did to me and my religious books. Those books were the only reason I kept a storage space. The fact remains that CubeSmart broke the law. Instead of wasting our time in arbitration and court, I would like to work this out amicably with CubeSmart. Having had a few businesses, I understand the damage court filings and legal dissertations can do. Especially to ones Dun & Bradstreet rating, the internet media and the self-righteous modern day consumer reporters on television. Please also include a refund of 22 months of payments that I had to have kind friends give me. After your manager told me, If I wanted any records I would have to subpoena them. Disgraceful customer service. I had to walk out. Had a reservation for a 5x10 and drove from Dallas. I was tired yet excited to start my new life in a new location. I entered the office, which was empty with the exception of employee Shelly, a possible fugitive from the Third Reich who was instantly annoyed by my intrusion. I told her the details regarding my reservation, and asked to use the restroom as I have a medical condition. There clearly was a restroom in the office. I tried to tell her it was an emergency. She said I had to wait, then instructed me to walk across the entire storage yard with several lefts, rights, and a gate code to get to the "peon restroom". I didn't make it. On my return I had to listen to her rant about how corporate takes "any reservation just to grab it" and that the rate I was confirmed didn't apply to her non corporate location. There was another rant about my lock. We golf carted to a unit on the second floor which smelled like cat pee. She told me I had to put my lock on the empty unit so "people didn't put stuff in it". Nobody was there. We golf carted back with her rant about corporate again. I told her I was declining the space backside I didn't appreciate how she was treating me. I left, and forgot to get my license back. I called and returned to a locked door and was handed my license through the mail slot, like a meal to a death row inmate. Go down the street to Public Storage and see Bridgett. She's rad, helpful, efficient, and will let you use the restroom. Shame on you CubeSmart. Lost me for life. I will spend the remainder of my day posting this everywhere. Shelly, sorry I interrupted your Candy Crush game. I just wanted to hand you money for a storage space. read more

The manager took two weeks to get back to me regarding my first month's invoice, after I had to call them and remind them I had sent an email. Her excuse was she went on vacation for a week. When I received a late fee they refused to waive the fee or take any responsibility in the matter. As a new customer they really don't make you feel welcomed. read more

I recently needed to rent a storage unit, and found this local CubeSmart. Everything was great---from signing my lease to moving all of my stuff in! Luis was very helpful in explaining everything and taking care of me. It's really awesome that you get to use the truck within 7 days of moving in (just a $10 admin fee, plus the cost of gas.) It makes it a lot easier than having to go out and rent your own truck. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place if you are in need of storage in the area! read more

My vehicle was Vandalized at this facility while is was being stored there. Someone hacksawed parts off my car and I was never informed by the property manager so their security is in question and they didn't offer to help me identify the culprit. Just told me to call my insurance company. Very dissatisfied and won't recommend this facility to anyone. SMH read more

I was moving all my stuff out of the storage unit which was on the second floor so I used the freight elevator. I loaded everything on it and pressed the button to send it downstairs (it's only used for your stuff. Not for passengers). Only it didn't get downstairs. It got stuck. Now I know this stuff happens and it wasn't a big deal but when I got the lady to help me she seemed like she couldn't be bothered and made it seem like it was all my fault (we eventually found out it was indeed my fault. The process of locking the doors and buttons to press were quite confusing but that's still no way to treat a costumer). That pissed me off. Another lady came to help and she seemed much more cooperative and helpful, willing to make an effort to try and resolve the situation. Obviously the problem was eventually resolved and I got my stuff out the next day. Not the greatest costumer service. If you're in need of help and they can't fix it from their cushy office, ya might get some flack. Also when I first contacted them to get a quote I was told around 65 bucks a month but when I went there to rent a spot I was told the first month was 115 bucks. They make you buy one of their locks, they make you buy insurance which is an extra 15 bucks a month and a few other sign up charges. So in the end I was paying 78 bucks a month. Not what I was expecting. Other than all of that the facility was just what you'd expect. A normal climate controlled storage unit. read more
