This is just regular dark red gel manicure.
Kristine Cross P.

This Nail spa is one of my favorite to go to and get my nails done. Neat place, friendly, top notch skills. If you call in around Saturday afternoon sometimes they have lesser people-- but call first and make appointment. When you come in, they'll ask you to wash hands-- offer you free drinks or water before you get worked on. I got my daughter her birthday treat see pic with flower-- and mine just a regular gel manicure.

Absolutely love this place . The nail technicians are wonderful! Giant color selection. I will be driving from south Austin from now on just so Amy can do My nails. She's the best !

I just came in for a polish change and this place is fabulous. They took me right in and got right to my nails I wish I lived closer, I would come every two weeks. They also do contests here. They are giving away A Michael Kors handbag.

Pic of sns day 3

I had one of my worst experiences at TX Nails this past week. i have been going to them for many years and have never had an issue. This past weekend I got my SNS done and literally within 3 days all my nails were chipped and looked ugly. Since I was out of town traveling I could not go immediately to get it fixed. But I sent a text and let my nail person know immediately. I would have Atleast expected a credit back, or a credit for me to use for next time. They have lost me and all my friends as a customer.

Went there as they opened today (Tuesday). First impressions: awesome color selection. Friendly staff. Super clean. My daughter and I both got pedicures. $30 sport pedicure that was 2nd from the cheapest and probably one of the best pedicures I have ever had. I am super curious I'm what one of their deluxe pedicures will bring. I have a regrown toenail from an injury that is not the prettiest and still has issues. They treated me with such care. Didn't hurt me at all and let me soak a little longer since it had been a while since my last pedicure. My daughter also got pink and white solar nails (full set $35). They look amazing and didn't hurt her once! Overall...this is my new nail salon. Good prices and wonderful service!!

Shellac manicure by Amy.

I was referred here by an avid fan and TX Nails and Spa did not disappoint. I'm particular about how I prefer my nails done and without my mentioning a word, it was all done. My manicurist, Amy, was very detail-oriented and took the time to ensure my nails were in tip top fashion. The sides and cuticles of all my nails were well manicured. My party of four came in on a whim and were well taken care of. Their staff is always friendly and inviting. What drew me originally was the Groupon but I've continued to come because they're exceptional. I would definitely recommend them.

I found this place on Groupon...$17 shellac manicure. On their Yelp page, they were offering a 10% discount on any pedicure. Seemed good to me...at the time :/ Pros: -They have a decent amount of shellac colors to choose from -They have a decent amount of regular nail polish. -The girl that did my shellac applied it PERFECTLY! There isn't a speck of polish out of place. -The same girl polished my toes and again, she did a great job! -They line their pedi bowls Cons: -The woman that started my pedicure couldn't speak English so another girl had to translate. -The regular pedicure consisted of a less than 4 minute leg rub, not a massage(!) a rub, for BOTH legs. And yes, I timed it! (I do a better job putting lotion on after a shower.) -My lip is still throbbing from having it waxed :/ -No one offered me a complementary beverage I'd come back only if there was a Groupon being offered and only if the same girl could do my mani/pedi.

I love salons that make an effort to not only get clients in the door but to keep them coming back! TX Nails & Spa was successful in just that. I purchased a Groupon from them because the location was so close to my home. They welcomed me the minute I walked in the door and offered a complimentary drink. The salon is small but clean. I had an appointment for a gel manicure and they immediately handed me a cute little basket with no less than 10 wheels of polish options. Randy did my manicure and he did a great job which included a neck and arm massage. On my departure I was given a punch and discount card! The only drawback was the overhead music. It was very dated but that's just my opinion. I will be back for a pedicure!

Sorry for potato quality lighting. Not bad for $15!!!

On 12/4 I had a gel manicure and gel pedicure with a referred technician - One week later I developed severe itching between my toes, skin maceration, followed by painful skin fissures ("paper-cut" like tears) between nearly all of my toes, burning, and major sensitivity. My Primary Care Physician has confirmed tinea pedis - caused by dermatophyte fungi (not properly cleaning, sanitizing pedicure tubs, or sterilizing tools). I am now treating what appears to be a fungal skin infection that developed shortly after the service. While I can't say with certainty how or where the infection was acquired, the timing directly followed my pedicure (timeline aligns with the exposure & development of a fungal infection). Untreated or possible progression of this development could lead to Secondary Bacterial Skin Infection, Cellulitis, Lymphangitis, or Sepsis - becoming very serious. I did not notice any visible sanitation concerns during my visit, but given my outcome, I strongly encourage future clients to: * Ask about foot bath disinfection procedures * Ensure tools are properly sterilized * Avoid services if you have any cuts, shaving, or broken skin I hope this review helps others take precautions. I recommend monitoring your feet closely after pedicure services and seeking care promptly if symptoms appear.

I came here with two of my friends while I was visiting Austin and it was great. From the second we sat down, Ethan, Jaidan, and Kim absolutely delivered. Not only were they all incredibly kind and attentive, but their skill level really shows. We each went in with different designs and ideas, and somehow they executed every single one flawlessly. One of my friends got 3D nail art, which can go very wrong in the wrong hands, but hers came out stunning. Like, stop-you-mid-conversation-to-stare-at-them stunning. Mine were just as detailed and clean, and you could tell they actually care about the final result, not just rushing you through. The vibe felt relaxed, not chaotic, and we left feeling like we got exactly what we wanted and more. I'd absolutely come back next time I'm in Austin.

As a paying customer, I believe it is completely reasonable to express my preferences clearly and respectfully. Recently, I was informed by Stella that Jayden no longer wants to service me because I allegedly made him "uncomfortable." This was surprising and disappointing, especially since no one has ever communicated to me that I was rude, disrespectful, or inappropriate in any way. I have simply explained how I like my nails done. If a client calmly expressing preferences makes a technician uncomfortable, that raises concerns about professionalism and customer service. I even asked for clarification on what specifically I did to cause discomfort and have yet to receive a clear answer. As an African American woman, walking into spaces and feeling as though you are being judged or labeled negatively for simply advocating for yourself is disheartening. I work hard for my money and believe it should be spent in businesses where clients feel respected and valued. At this point, I am not upset -- I simply want transparency and accountability. If there is a legitimate reason for the decision, I am open to hearing it. But vague accusations without explanation do not reflect well on a business. I hope management takes this as an opportunity to improve communication and ensure all clients are treated with fairness and respect. I have done reviews and raved at the fact that this same young man was a blessing to me and how I liked my nails.
