On my Giant, they found a backwards jockey wheel, but I was also charged for derailleur adjustments multiple times and later learned the actual front shifting issue was a bent chainring. At one point it was suggested that I might not be shifting correctly, but the problem turned out to be mechanical. They also adjusted my saddle and stripped the bolt in the process. After multiple visits and additional issues, I lost confidence in the quality and completeness of the work.

This guy is operating a bike shop out of a storage facility - the address on this google listing is…read morewrong. He quoted me $100 to replace the spokes on my back wheel and $120 with the derailleur repair. When I went to pick it up he wanted $210 for a host of unauthorized repairs. At my normal shop, this repair on the spokes would have cost less than $50. When I refused the extra charges he took the chain and derailleur off and gave me mine back back in a plastic bag (did not put them back on). When I refused the additional charges he said that the quote I got was just an estimate, even though he never contacted me about the additional charges in advance. He condescended to me about how much work it took for him to replace the spokes. He also adjusted my breaks which I did not ask him to do and now my front break is very loose and I need at least 30 feet to stop now - very dangerous. My back wheel where he replaced the spokes was left with damage (filed down with scratches, pictured), and is now very misaligned. Very turbulent ride home - I will need to take it elsewhere for additional repair. He did a host of unauthorized repairs, like drilling into my rims to replace my regular spokes with heavy gauge spokes which he tried to charge me extra for and said I had 'no class' for complaining. I did not say anything about the Chinese per his response that is defamatory. I did curse him out - which he deserved. He did not communicate with me at all during the repair, never asked me if he adjust my breaks, drill into my rims or replace my chain. He also removed an old display which I did not ask him to do and tried to charge me for it. Con. Rudely made me wait 23 minutes outside the storage unit he operates out of to bring my bike down, even though he told me what time to pick it up and I was on time.

Their diagnosis and solution was not right…read more 1.Was told to need to add oil for the spongy brake.(J) J touched my bike for that job, the result was the same. I fixed it myself later by adjusting a screw and the lever got a good tension. 2. (A) told me that brake pad needed to be replaced. Told me I needed to order the same model as they don't have it. J showed me they have it - doesn't matter, my current brake pad was fine, no need to be replaced. 3. I needed a saddle with wider with more cushion. (A) recommended a completely the opposite one and sold an extremely narrow saddle, I returned it. All 3 was wrong. Unfocused staff. Just good at basics like all other bike shops do. Talking way too much. Not all Eastern females are working as at massage, if you were curious what I do, just ask, many are doctors and professionals. I didn't experience some level of integrity with them. Way too much jokes and very scattered.

At 6:30, Keith pulled up to Wagner College in Staten Island and delivered it to me in person. Unbelievable customer service and kindness. While a few staff members have been friendly, there's been a recurring pattern of dismissive and somewhat condescending behavior across multiple visits. Questions and concerns often felt brushed off, and explanations of services -- like what a "free tune-up" actually includes -- were vague or incomplete. There were also several instances where the work itself didn't inspire confidence. A computer mount was left spinning despite being told it was secure, and on another visit, a mechanic refused to use carbon paste on a mount, which didn't feel appropriate for the component involved. What's most concerning is that this wasn't a one-off experience -- it's been a pattern over time. When communication and attention to detail are lacking, it starts to impact both safety and trust, especially on longer rides. Update (Jan 2026): I later found out that a tubeless setup I paid for had barely any sealant in the tires, which explains why a flat wouldn't seal. Another shop had to fix it. At this point, I've decided to take my business elsewhere. I'd recommend double-checking any work before leaving.
