These guys are amazing. I brought a bike in that I had just purchased and Adrian looked it over to make sure everything was ok. He was very knowledgeable and helpful and the whole experience was a pleasure. The bike tech in the back was awesome too. read more

It's a great local bike shop, I value their opinion and they sell reliable products. Bought a few accessories from them and my partner bought a used bike too. There was an issue with it in the beginning but brought it back to the shop and they fixed it the same day. The bike repair service is exceptional, along with the customer service. read more

The staff didn't give me the run Around they just thoroughly inspected it said straight up it's a great bike and no need for a repair. I also asked them about the helmets but they didn't push me to buy anything, They do have some great gear for bikes and I bought a bunch of stuff read more

Adrian was so kind and generous when I called and then showed up with my flat tire. I appreciated that they were open earlier than other shops in the area, and he even gave me a loaner bike to use! Overall great neighborhood bike shop. read more

My bike has been sitting for a while, so I took it to A J's. They fixed my brake pads and some other items, and even washed my bike free of charge. I don't know if I should say that. Anyway, the guys were so nice, and they took me right away. My bike was ready within an hour, and the price was not bad at all. Great service, friendly, respectable. They checked all the boxes. You should go there! read more

I've known both of these guys for several years and these guys are great. They always let me know what can or cannot be done with my bikes. I'm a picky cyclist so when the guys are honest with me, it means alot. I will always support their shop. read more

My bike is like new after my tune up which was so reasonably priced and super fast (less than 4 hours), which is amazing especially this time of year. I was expecting to be bike less for at least a few days and the quality and speed of their work blew me away. I'm so happy to have this shop a short walk away and won't be going anywhere else from now on! read more

Best bike shop in the neighborhood! I'm so happy they are here! I feel like the only human on an island, lost, kinda stranded when I get a flat and AJ Bikes is always there to rescue me! You da best read more

Incredibly friendly and well-stocked shop. Even for someone who does nearly all of their own maintenance, I've been in a few times to grab things like presta tubeless valves, a 650b tube, carbon paste and even pedals. I always think they're not gonna have what I need and every time they do! Really great to have them in the neighborhood. read more

My bike needed a tune up, new cassette and other parts. I am so glad I found this shop. They really know what they are doing and I got my bike back in the same day feeling brand new again. The quality of service was incredibly detailed. The next day I rode 22 miles to see how everything was feeling. My bike feels better than ever. A J Bikes is the real deal and super affordable too. read more

Thanks Adrian for the tune up! Happy to have this bike shop in the hood and support this local business. My bike was serviced in about an hour. I'm ready to ride around and get it! read more

I'm rebranding AJ bikes as a magic shop. Really. They did a phenomenal transformation on a bike I was given. A little history ........ I spent my 20's road biking through the mountains in Colorado and working as a bike messenger in both Denver and NYC. I've always preferred slick quick "pizza cutter" style bikes and worked/commuted on a fixed gear. Fast forward 20 relatively bike less years to the midst of a pandemic making mass transport impossible and I was given a mountain bike. It was a very kind gesture, but nothing I'd ever choose in a million years and extremely uncomfortable to ride. I was bracing myself for the unfortunate condescension that sometimes comes from repair shops, but Adrian and Jose talked to me about my biking history and preferences in terms of comfort and maneuverability. Within an afternoon they lovingly (and jokingly) transformed my clunker into something that's simply a pleasure to ride. I've built plenty of my own bikes in my life and am 100% comfortable endorsing not only their technical skill, but their attentive and thoughtful suggestions. Beyond that, I had the pleasure of watching their interactions with customers from all ages, races, and sexual orientations during the time I waited (yes they finished a total custom overhaul while i waited!), and EVERYONE was treated with the same honesty, good humor and respect. This is one of those unassuming down home places you wander into once by chance and end up being a customer for life. Prices are VERY reasonable, service is quick, and these guys are just the type of people you prefer to give business to ....... even if there's another place closer. Thanks AJ ! read more

Was borrowing my friend's bike while visiting Brooklyn, and got a flat. Luckily this shop is in her neighborhood and were able to fix it quickly! They also cleaned up the breaks a bit, all at a super reasonable price and while being SUPER friendly. Highly recommend this shop! read more

Love these guys! Such a great shop and really friendly vibes. They're great at what they do!

To begin, they are the shop open latest in the area so I had time to go after work (Very convenient)! I got there 20 min before closing and not once did they make me feel rushed or not valued. They were so kind, extremely helpful/knowledgeable and were a great vibe. I planned on purchasing my bike that day and they did everything possible to make that happen! These are the guys!! Will be returning for upkeep/maintenance or maybe to just shoot the sh*t. :) Thanks guys! read more

So happy they are close by! They fixed my Trek which was in horrendous shape last summer, and they continue to give me excellent service each time I stop by to inflate a tire or buy something I need. It's a small shop so their inventory is limited but they are polite, reasonable and so much nicer than the bike guys with big attitudes that I once went to in Williamsburg. This is a big plus for the neighborhood. They will be getting all my business. read more

Great to have a shop in the neighborhood! I got good explanations to my questions, a great tune up and it was ready in a few hours. Got a call when it was done. read more

While this shop may be versed on how to fix bikes, they fall far beyond measure on customer service. When people decide to own businesses in my neighborhood to gain wealth off of us at the very least I'd expect to be respected and valued as a potential customer. Sadly Jose's attitude was appalling, as he failed to deliver what he promised, to have my bike ready at 11am and offering not an apology but rather a disrespectful tone and commentary of "listen it's not ready and either you're gonna wait for it or not"...I'd say NOT. Learn how to respect people, own your mistakes and value my dollar or go somewhere else! I've been living here for over 40 years, my roots are in Bedstuy and as I travel within my many circles and organizations I will be sure to share that this business does not live up to our standards of quality customer service practices nor do they respect the value of people's time. read more
