The experience was amazing. The staff Aaron was funny, skilled and super nice. He helped me with everything and was very caring toward my wellbeing. I couldn't recommend this store enough.

Went to two other bike shops before I came to this one. First bike shop said all I need to do is clean my tires, but that if I wanted them to do it, it's $20 and will take 30 minutes. Second bike shop I went to said they don't have the noodle for my break and didn't even bother looking into my bike and said they can't help me. I called a third bike shop and was quoted $10 to fix my break but that id have to wait until Tuesday. So I ended up here. And even though there were people ahead of me in line to drop their bikes off, someone came out to assess my bike, and then brought me in so that they can take a deeper look. Max fixed my break, and when I asked how much, he looked at his watch and said, it took two minutes. That's your answer. Excellent customer service!

I had mixed results here…read more They did improve my Trek overall, but I still had to take it to another shop afterward because the brakes were rubbing. On my Giant, they found a backwards jockey wheel, but I was also charged for derailleur adjustments multiple times and later learned the actual front shifting issue was a bent chainring. At one point it was suggested that I might not be shifting correctly, but the problem turned out to be mechanical. They also adjusted my saddle and stripped the bolt in the process. After multiple visits and additional issues, I lost confidence in the quality and completeness of the work.

Instead of helping, he gave me attitude and sarcastically asked, "What's 700C?" Before I could answer, I clarified my tire is 27 1/4. He then rattled off a bunch of other sizes before finally going to the back to get one. When he returned, he handed me a single tube, priced at $10. I asked if there were other brands or options, and again, more attitude. He told me it's all rubber anyway and questioned why I even cared. At checkout, I gave him cash and asked if he needed anything else. He said I owed him 88 cents, so I gave him a dollar, and he threw the change into my hand so carelessly that it bounced off and fell onto the counter. No apology, no decency. Do yourself a favor: skip this place. There are plenty of other bike shops where the staff will treat you with basic respect, actually help you, and not act like you're bothering them by being there.

I've been going to this shop on and off for years and recently decided to give it another shot,…read morehoping things had improved. Unfortunately, the experience has been consistently disappointing. While a few staff members have been friendly, there's been a recurring pattern of dismissive and somewhat condescending behavior across multiple visits. Questions and concerns often felt brushed off, and explanations of services -- like what a "free tune-up" actually includes -- were vague or incomplete. There were also several instances where the work itself didn't inspire confidence. A computer mount was left spinning despite being told it was secure, and on another visit, a mechanic refused to use carbon paste on a mount, which didn't feel appropriate for the component involved. What's most concerning is that this wasn't a one-off experience -- it's been a pattern over time. When communication and attention to detail are lacking, it starts to impact both safety and trust, especially on longer rides. Update (Jan 2026): I later found out that a tubeless setup I paid for had barely any sealant in the tires, which explains why a flat wouldn't seal. Another shop had to fix it. At this point, I've decided to take my business elsewhere. I'd recommend double-checking any work before leaving.

Panic insured as I realized I had left my rear axle in the Golden State!! It's 4:30 on Saturday when Keith gets a call from his buddy Vinnie at Bennet's Bicycle's on Staten Island asking if he has the non-standard axle I needed. At 6:30, Keith pulled up to Wagner College in Staten Island and delivered it to me in person. Unbelievable customer service and kindness. What I failed to mention to Keith is that I frequented Roy's Bikes while I was growing up in Brooklyn- many years ago!! Thanks Keith!!!
