I only went there once but the experience was so good that I wanted to recommend them. I was having trouble with my shifter and despite having some experience I couldn't figure out a solution. I brought it in, based on a friend's recommendation to try the shop, and they quickly identified I had a loose cassette. They were fast at identifying the problem and made a quick repair and charged much less than other competing bike shops would charge. Afterwards I went for a ride and it was buttery smooth shifting. Both times I have stopped by, the staff was friendly, attentive and at the same time super busy repairing and preparing old and new bicycles! Every customer in the store was happy with their service and expertise. I assume they are a branch of I & M bicycle shop in Sunset Park which also has great reviews. My old folding bike blew a tire and these guys fixed it in record time, keeping me informed of any decisions that needed to be made along the way. They also did a terrific tune-up, where one of the mechanics and I test-rode it several times, bringing it back to the shop each time for perfect fine-tuning. This bike is more than 15 years old, so it's not easy to get right, but they did an excellent job. A bit pricey, but worth every penny and then some! read more

I am a newbie cyclist and wanted to purchase a bike as a way to get around safely amid COVID concerns. Louis and Christian two of the guys that work in the shop were super helpful - I asked a million questions. They were clear with their responses, thoughtful of my concerns and walked me through safety measures for locking up my bike while out. I also purchased one of the last three bikes left! There is a major shortage of bike shops with.stick left and online had a long backlog on delivery. I was surprised I found my bike, kinda just waiting for me to purchase! I have gone on several rides in the neighborhood and feel comfortable with the fitting and so glad I am now a bike owner. Just got my flat fixed, a tune up and full cleaning and it was fast 24hrs.

These guys do excellent work and charge fair prices. I've gotten the full-service tuneup and the regular one and was happy with both. The full-service includes cleaning, making for a shiny bike. They also changed a tire for me. Just FYI if you're coming first thing in the morning, sometimes they are a few minutes late, but they show up. They're not fully committed to masking/social distancing, but I do appreciate that they stayed open during the pandemic and didn't make everyone wait outside like at some Park Slope bike stores. That allowed me to shop inside and gets some gloves too. They have a decent stock of accessories and bikes. read more

My favorite shop! I've been here more times than I can count while living locally and even called in for advice about buying a bike off Craigslist when I was in a different state and was delighted to find that they remembered me, my bike, and were happy to help. They're always fast, reliable, honest, ready to fix a mistake (there are rarely any but in the off chance), and affordable. If you're doing major tune up work they'll call you and let you know pricing as things come up so you can make a decision. I ride a very small, very old bike and they're always helpful with the odd mods to get me whatever it is I want but may not easily have off the rack (for example, they put a used kickstand on for me bc it was the only one that would fit and zip tied a rack and basket setup with an extension piece). They speak both Spanish and English & offer the NYC bike map for free if you ask and have great gear/accessories in stock. Would let these guys take my whole bike apart and put it back together again. Usually a bit of a line so you know they're good. Check out hinterlands next door while you wait for pigs in a blanket and a drink (not too many though, bike safe)! read more

What's not to love about this place? Very friendly and they do excellent work at totally reasonable prices. My bike came with weird tubes - 20" with Schraeder valves, which wound up being impossible to replace when I got a flat, so they drilled out my wheels to take a normal 20" inner tube which is way more convenient. They also tuned up my friends antique bike and for well under $100 they made it look like a new machine, I was incredibly surprised how well they were able to restore a lot of components I would have thought needed to be replaced! Haven't done many retail purchases but their prices seem totally reasonable and they have a good selection of accessories. read more
