Reasonable pricing and efficient service! We went in to align my son's bike tires and they were able to work on it right away and checked that the bike was assembled properly. read more

The younger mechanic tried to say it was gonna take 40 minutes for my tire. Then while working on my tire, the other mechanic (old fat man) starts talking shit about my e bike in Spanish, calling it cheap, stalling my time with petty unnecessary commentary, XYZ. Very sad experience. He tried to tell me I should be happy that people are telling me about the issues with my bike. ?? Did I come in for a bike review or to fix my flat?I live in right by this place like my whole life and I try to be respectful every single time despite them always doing this. Then he charged me 5 dollars more for what was a 45 dollar service for no reason. I didn't contest it because I was already late for work. I just want to know if everyone else gets this type of experience when they come here for a basic repair? I don't know if it's because of my appearance, or if I am intimidating to people, but all I ask is to just be considered. Smdh read more

I've been going to the original I&M since they had their first location open in Sunset Park about a decade ago, and they've been a reliable, trusted, honest, and affordable place to get bicycle work done. I usually come for the tune ups (both standard and full) and both are always returned in a really quick manner with affordable prices (100$ standard; 250$ full). I really can't find anything bad to say about them for the past 8 years. read more

These guys do good work and are great problem solvers. They do quick turnarounds and won't kill you with the prices. I have found my new bike shop! read more

Had to have seat post cut and replaced. Old one totally seized. These guys did a great job replacing everything and kept the budget reasonable. Very good experience and I recommend I&M for your cycling needs. read more

I only went there once but the experience was so good that I wanted to recommend them. I was having trouble with my shifter and despite having some experience I couldn't figure out a solution. I brought it in, based on a friend's recommendation to try the shop, and they quickly identified I had a loose cassette. They were fast at identifying the problem and made a quick repair and charged much less than other competing bike shops would charge. Afterwards I went for a ride and it was buttery smooth shifting. I will definitely go back if I need more work done. read more

I have been using this shop for some years now and they are still very pleasant, helpful and not greedy. I have 4 bike shops in my neighborhood and rather go to their shops than the close ones. Their energy is amazing. You feel safe knowing that you are getting honest service. read more

I & M 2 is one of those bicycle repair shops that you have a good feeling about as soon as you walk in....and I was no exception! Both times I have stopped by, the staff was friendly, attentive and at the same time super busy repairing and preparing old and new bicycles! Every customer in the store was happy with their service and expertise. I assume they are a branch of I & M bicycle shop in Sunset Park which also has great reviews. So if you live in the Church Avenue / Kensington/Windsor Terrace/Park Slope area and own a bike, these are the guys to know but don't tell too many people or there will be a line out the door! read more

My old folding bike blew a tire and these guys fixed it in record time, keeping me informed of any decisions that needed to be made along the way. They also did a terrific tune-up, where one of the mechanics and I test-rode it several times, bringing it back to the shop each time for perfect fine-tuning. This bike is more than 15 years old, so it's not easy to get right, but they did an excellent job. A bit pricey, but worth every penny and then some! read more

Amazing! Walked in not knowing what to expect price wise, customer service-wise and these guys took super care of me and my bike. Worth every penny. Rides like a dream. Didn't get the discount I wanted lol but I love supporting local business. Will definitely be back for my next tuneup and gladly refer/recommend. read more

I am a newbie cyclist and wanted to purchase a bike as a way to get around safely amid COVID concerns. Louis and Christian two of the guys that work in the shop were super helpful - I asked a million questions. They were clear with their responses, thoughtful of my concerns and walked me through safety measures for locking up my bike while out. I also purchased one of the last three bikes left! There is a major shortage of bike shops with.stick left and online had a long backlog on delivery. I was surprised I found my bike, kinda just waiting for me to purchase! I have gone on several rides in the neighborhood and feel comfortable with the fitting and so glad I am now a bike owner. I'll be back to purchase accessories and gear and would recommend this place to friends looking for a bike as well! read more

Just got my flat fixed, a tune up and full cleaning and it was fast 24hrs.

These guys do excellent work and charge fair prices. I've gotten the full-service tuneup and the regular one and was happy with both. The full-service includes cleaning, making for a shiny bike. They also changed a tire for me. Just FYI if you're coming first thing in the morning, sometimes they are a few minutes late, but they show up. They're not fully committed to masking/social distancing, but I do appreciate that they stayed open during the pandemic and didn't make everyone wait outside like at some Park Slope bike stores. That allowed me to shop inside and gets some gloves too. They have a decent stock of accessories and bikes. read more

This is a great bike shop, excellent service, amazing people. They deserve the hype. I use my bike for work, which means lots of wear and tear on these streets. They've done many repairs for me, sometimes in a pinch, and it's always been a positive experience. Big thumbs for these guys! read more

Brought my bike in for a tune up recently. My bike hasn't rode this smoothly since I first bought it and the brake tightening made me scared that I had been riding with such a loose brake for so long! Quick work and very reasonably priced. I plan on coming back for all of bike needs in the future! read more

My favorite shop! I've been here more times than I can count while living locally and even called in for advice about buying a bike off Craigslist when I was in a different state and was delighted to find that they remembered me, my bike, and were happy to help. They're always fast, reliable, honest, ready to fix a mistake (there are rarely any but in the off chance), and affordable. If you're doing major tune up work they'll call you and let you know pricing as things come up so you can make a decision. I ride a very small, very old bike and they're always helpful with the odd mods to get me whatever it is I want but may not easily have off the rack (for example, they put a used kickstand on for me bc it was the only one that would fit and zip tied a rack and basket setup with an extension piece). They speak both Spanish and English & offer the NYC bike map for free if you ask and have great gear/accessories in stock. Would let these guys take my whole bike apart and put it back together again. Usually a bit of a line so you know they're good. Check out hinterlands next door while you wait for pigs in a blanket and a drink (not too many though, bike safe)! read more

What's not to love about this place? Very friendly and they do excellent work at totally reasonable prices. My bike came with weird tubes - 20" with Schraeder valves, which wound up being impossible to replace when I got a flat, so they drilled out my wheels to take a normal 20" inner tube which is way more convenient. They also tuned up my friends antique bike and for well under $100 they made it look like a new machine, I was incredibly surprised how well they were able to restore a lot of components I would have thought needed to be replaced! Haven't done many retail purchases but their prices seem totally reasonable and they have a good selection of accessories. read more

Helpful, knowledgeable, friendly staff who fixed my bike quickly when I was in need! Thank you!

These guys are amazing. I came in to get my brakes adjusted and fixed after not feeling too comfortable after a normal bike ride. I brought my bike in and these guys suggested on replacing my brake cables. When I say these guys are efficient, quick and do great quality work. They definitely are my go to bike shop from this point on. read more

They are always friendly and efficient when it comes to bike repair. I appreciate being able to rely on them when I need a quick tune up.

i wandered in here on accident b/c i got a flat while in the park, my 3rd flat in a month after going to a different bike shop a few times to try and fix the problem, so frustrating. anyway, the guys at i&m were SO helpful and quick to fix my tire and i have not gotten a flat since i left this store, YOU ARE THE BEST, THANK YOU. even though i don't live anywhere near here, i will always try to come for my bike needs! read more

I came in for my broken break wire on my bike, and was in and out in under 20 minutes. They are genuine guys, plus the service and new wire were super inexpensive ($13 total). And they even refilled my tires! I didn't even ask for that- so nice. Highly recommend them! read more
