We love bringing folks here when they're visiting. The food is always delicious and the service is always top notch. The staff are friendly and helpful. It's a nice open atmosphere with a few rooms to seat folks. It's bright and fun inside. We had a omelette and breakfast burrito this time around. The sweet potato hash with the meals is off the chart scrumptious. read more

Honest food review: 5/5 for the overall experience, but you better bring a spoon because you're going to get ALL the gravy... should've asked for a toast. Puns aside, I've got 2 items for you to consider, cinnamon apple butter latte, and the breakfast poutine. I LOVE fries and any renditions of the experience, but the Canadians and poutine are something special. So if you like gravy, you're going to love this, but there's a twist.... Special thanks to the manager/waitress who brought over some fruit while our son decided to be very loud, having a young one during a meal can be challenging but the quick recognition from the staff made this the 5 that were awarding today! It was lively and busy but attention to detail was superb from the staff. -Cinnamon Apple Butter Latte: 5/5 When you think of a complimentary flavor for coffee you wouldn't think of this combination working, but it did.... If you like an apple flavor that packs a punch, you get the cinnamon to sweeten the experience and a bitter from the coffee that rounds itself well. Not too sweet, but sweet enough for the meal. It gives this latte a well rounded flavor that helps start your meal just right. Think of a caffeinated apple cider that's bold and unique with the tinge of coffee as the palette settles. -Breakfast Poutine: 3.5/5 Now.... When I saw cheese curds on the dish, I was expecting cheese curds that melted as you savored the fries that were complimented by gravy. Without any toast you get gravy with a side of fries and some shredded cheese. The gravy was absolutely delicious! Great seasoning, great flavor to complete the experience. However, the gravy was too much for the amount of fries you receive. The eggs added to the richness of the dish, which was appreciated, but when you're scooping loads of gravy with nothing else, it leaves you with only gravy. I would recommend adding a side of toast, or asking for more fries. .5 for the curds feeling like they were missing, and 1 off the lack of fries and over use of gravy. Definitely not a bad dish, but left room for improvement with the details listed above. read more

I was a bit disappointed today when I went here for breakfast. Hostess was nice, waitress was nice and was either being trained or was shadowing someone. They took our order and didn't come back to refill or check in on our waters and coffee till after we were half way done with our meals. Both of mine were empty before I got my meal. I ordered the chili rellano omelette ( which was a cheese omelette with chopped up pepper.... Not a cheese stuffed chili) with the country potatoes, and ended up being delivered hash browns. My husband ordered the biscuits and gravy plus with a side of hash browns... he didn't get his hash browns so I slide mine into his plate... when someone did come to check I said I had ordered the country potatoes... she said Are you going to eat the hash browns? I told her, no I slide them into my husband plate... she then that she would have to charge me a side order for them..... which my husband then said that he had already ordered a side order and didn't get.... Just was a bit weird... so had he not ordered the side of hash browns did they really want them off my plate due to their mistake on putting them on there in the first place? Was really awkward.... No one came back after that until they gave us our check. Place is open and airy and decorated cute... lots of cute shirts to purchase too. read more

Wow what an incredible breakfast spot! My mom & I popped in after we landed in Reno which is exactly what we needed, good food, great service & clean/ friendly environment. Lindsee was attentive, timely & served with a smile, she was so sweet! The special Lemon Blueberry Biscuit hit the spot & our entrees did not disappoint. With love from FL :) read more

Wow! This was our first time to this location, we usually eat at the midtown restaurant. The atmosphere has a great vibe due to the eclectic decor. We were greeted immediately and with a smile. We were seated immediately and had our drink order taken as we sat. The menu has a great sell of breakfast and lunch items. They also have cocktails and mock tails. The coffee arrived hot and fresh and kept full from the attentive staff. The food came out quickly fresh and tasty. I had the sourdough pancake combo. Fluffy pancakes, eggs sunny side up done correctly and crispy bacon. Another item today was their bacon and eggs w/ a very fresh swirled rye toast. A special butter was served with the toast. We are going to the midtown restaurant tomorrow on our way out of town. Overall another great meal. read more

Take a deep breath and prepare to make some decisions. So many wonderful options and options within options. My daughter chose two different eggs Benedict... Because you can! I ordered from the very bottom of the menu where although it says you can get a poppyseed French toast, the waitress said I could sub that out for the cinnamon roll pancake. The coffee is soo good too. read more

We go to this restaurant every time we come to Reno to eat. Very good breakfast food. We always happen to get a waitress there named Quinn W. Who is always friendly, cheerful and helpful. She helps us out selecting the best options for our food, and helped with my wife's Bloody Mary drink, bringing her a sample so she could see if it was was too spicy (which it was) and offered to mix it half and half with tomato juice. She went out of her way to make the drink as good as possible, and really cared about it. When you go there, be sure to ask for Quinn as your waitress, you will be happy with your choice!! read more

Two Chicks has been a part of the Reno community for ages, starting with the infamous GourMelt truck way back when. After a few breakfast visits at the South Reno location, I can say it's a good breakfast and brunch spot, but maybe doesn't live up to the hype of other Reno breakfast institutions. We ordered our coffees, the breakfast special, and a kids combo. Service was fast and waitress was friendly. We were seated quickly. Decor here is nice and interesting. It's a huge restaurant with a ton of tables and I am sure it can be tough to manage at times. The food came out and we enjoyed our sliders. A bit under seasoned but a creative dish. The kids combo was great though the pancake was a bit tough. Great amount of food for two toddlers. I always enjoy the sides here, often more than I enjoy the main dish. The home fries are great and the parm hash browns are nice, but occasionally lack parm flavor. A few of the grilled cheeses are still made very similarly to when they were made on the food truck and they are the shining star. Overall, Two Chicks is a great choice, but lacks the refinement of some other breakfast options, especially for the price. read more

Right off the bat we noticed really great service at 2 Chicks South. Everyone was kind and helpful. The restaurant is bright and decorated well. Only a 10" wait on a busy Saturday morning, so we felt lucky. I would give the food a solid 3-3.5. I had a delicious pork chop with eggs and sweet potato home fries. The home fries needed to be cooked longer. My Ramos Fizz wasn't good. It didn't even taste like a Ramos Fizz. That was a disappointment, as it's my fave breakfast drink. Mr B got the chille relleno omelet. He was impressed with his hash browns, but the omelet didn't appeal to him. Personal taste. Two Chicks South is a popular restaurant, and I can see why. read more

Two Chicks is a Reno original and it's one of my favorite brunch restaurants. I tend to order savory egg dishes but sometimes I can't resist their grilled cheese sandwiches like the croque madam. On my most recent visit, I tried the breakfast poutine. The fries were hot and crispy and held up to the gravy and eggs. As always, our service was friendly and table visits were well timed for drink refills. This place is really popular, especially on the weekends. You can expect a wait to get seated even though the dining room is really large. read more

You really can't go wrong here. The staff is always so nice and on top of their game (and they are always busy). The food is always fresh , good and good amounts. And some of the best coffee says my fiancee..lol.. I'm not a big cold butter fan..i like my butter cooked on bread ,not cold spread but they have seasonal butter that changes and its always so good.. the flavors are always just right and not too powerful. I actually look forward to having toast and butter.. I had the Rise and shine sandwich..a breakfast sandwich.. bacon, eggs, cheddar cheese on great basin icky breaf.. it was so good.. the bread was toasted just right and their bacon is not too thin or thick. Good quality bacon.. it normally comes with cream cheese but I requested that off... most definitely going to get again. My fiancee had their special omelet that had bacon, mushroom and fresh rosemary.. it was very tasty. You got hit with the rosemary at first but it wasnt too powerful as well.. The place is always clean and inviting. They are always crowded but worth the wait.. their first location in midtown is cute but small which is a longer wait. We prefer their 2nd location connected to a nice hotel. Its in central reno across from meadowood mall. Its much bigger. Always leave with a happy fully belly and a smile. read more

Two Chicks is a fun place to stop and grab either breakfast or lunch in Reno. They have a good selection of food to choose from. However they are particular in what they offer and you simply just eat it their way, which is odd. It's hard to get anything customized the way you want it. The staff was quite friendly and did a great job of waiting on my table. Be warned the DO NOT HAVE RANCH or FRY SAUCE here. Haha. There is outdoor seating in the warmer months. read more

Not far from Atlantis Casino 2CS has a loud red and yellow interior that's a tad headache inducing but all in all, has a nice homey American breakfast vibe. They pretty much offer standard American breakfast here. I had the Salmon Benedict and it came with parmesan hash browns, a tiny orange wedge. Not really memorable. The coffee reminds me doughnut shop style coffee: you know, like the complimentary coffee your work offers you in the break room. Not that great. Service is reliable and there is a decent social vibe inside. Great place to sit down and catch up with friends. I've had better in Reno but I do like its accessibility. read more

After years of going to the two chicks midtown location, we moved closer to the south location and now frequent this one often. I've loved two chicks ever since I moved to reno for school. They have great menu options, kind staff, okay pricing, a fantastic rewards system, and are just an overall great way to start your day. They are pretty much always busy, so on weekends plan on making a reservation or waiting a bit. I have to note they have the best waitlist, my favorite in Reno, as it shows your place in line, how manny minutes you've waited, as well as the size of the parties ahead of you so you can really estimate your wait. They also have a side chicks at each location, so you can walk up and order cocktails without even having a table. Pricier, but helps a wait some days. Our food was delicious as always. I like to get the vegan skillet, and add vegan patties and regular eggs. I always get this because it's a great blend of vegetables, potatoes, and egg. The two vegan patties were around $6/7 dollars, more than meat and enough to buy a whole bag at the store, so I really wish those were lower. I also love adding the Buford's green salsa at the table. The toast comes with house made fruit butter which is always amazing. My boyfriend got the huevos rancheros and added diced chicken. It was a wonderful mix of flavors. We also split a half order of the almond poppyseed french toast. I've been eyeing this one for a while and it did not disappoint. I highly recommend it. Lastly, I want to point out how incredible their hot lattes were. We've tried iced before and they were pretty good, but the hot lattes we got this day were outstanding. Overall this location is just as great as the first, which is a high standard. Maybe even better with the bigger space. They're so great I've even bought one of their tee shirts, definitely worth giving it a try! read more

Where do i start??? Let's start with the food first. It was amazing! I have to say that they have the country Bene down to perfection. It was some of the best buttery soft biscuits drenched in gravy I've tasted. The Red Chick scramble is another must. It was very tasty. I suggest you also try the poutine. The green chilaquiles were alright. And the chorizo omelette was good too. I like that everything is shareable. Service is outstanding, from the hostess to the waiter. Michelle the manager is also great!! She is out on the floor making sure everything is smoothly ran. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We finally made it to Two Chick's (South) for breakfast. Honestly the long lines usually deter us, but not today. We made it in between crowds. We walked in and I saw signs everywhere saying "best bloody mary" so I had to try one. I agree, it's tied for 1st place in Reno in my opinion. We ordered the Goumelt Bene and Sicilian Omelet and both were a home run! Their home fries are made with sweet potatoes which were a yummy little twist. Prices are very reasonable and serving sizes are hefty. We had a very helpful waitress, answered all of my questions without hesitation. Can't wait to sneak in to try something else. read more

Strange greeting. I walked in and the hostess was holding silverware. She said she would be right with me. A lady came in to pick up an order Togo. The hostess, I asked her if she wanted plasticware. The girl said yes. Hostess moseyed over to another counter, picked up a bag and handed it to the lady. And then commenced to restock The plastic wire bin. Finally she came back to me and asked how she could help me... I told her it would be nice if I could get some lunch... She picked up a menu and walked into the room on the right. as slow as could be, told me my server would be with me. More and more I just get the feeling that some of these workers here believe that we are here for them. It's just so strange. How hard is it to have a friendly greeting, and make the customer a priority over rolling silverware or stocking plasticware? I mean it's only 1 PM. Still have an hour of service left. The waitress was really friendly. Her name was Ree or Rhi (sorry I don't know the spelling). When the breakfast arrived, I realized I forgot to ask for no chili powder. Most restaurants sprinkle paprika, this place does chili powder... But it didn't matter because I had to send it back as it was poached hard. Not one bit of runny yolk. I guess when you come here after 1 PM, they're too busy about cleaning up, stocking stuff rather than getting Good service and food. One of the managers did come to over the table and check on the food. Friendliness, Manager check up, I did give this a three star. When the check arrived, there was a 25% discount. So unexpected. But a nice touch. read more

All around incredible every single time! The food is always very fresh and perfectly cooked. The flavors are an absolute knockout and the butter today was Blueberry! They do change it weekly I believe, but all butter flavors are a must try!And I REALLY love their coffee, it is by our locally owned Wood-Fired Coffee Roasters. You absolutely have to be sure to try their house made coffee/tea syrups too, my favorite is Lavender. They also have a variety of milk and non-dairy options and a walk-up coffee window outside (mostly open on weekends) which is genius! The dining areas are very spacious so that no one will ever feel crowded and it is always clean, and well organized. And lastly but not least, are the staff who are nothing less than egg-ceptional (lol see what I did there). Every person we have ever interacted with has been so wonderful, helpful, accommodating, and personable. We have loved and supported Two Chick's since the Gourmelt food truck days when they only had their grilled cheese and melted dessert sandwiches. My personal favorite is the Bumblebrie melt and of course, the Fluffernutter. Both are without a doubt phenomenal. We will continue to support these two fantastic ladies and their staff for as long as we can and look forward to more of their future menu creations. Much love Two Chick's!! read more

We came to have breakfast and we ended up with a bad breath nightmare. I spoke to one of the workers about our waitress having horrible breath and nothing was done about it. I have been to the Midtown location a few times, but the first time here. Sunday brunch with friends, six of us. It was about a 20 minute wait for a table that size. The south location seems a lot bigger than the Midtown location. Besides the usual brunch mimosas and bloody Mary's, there were some unique cocktails that paired pretty good with breakfast. I went with a chai white Russian. A delicious spin on chai and one of my favorite cocktails. There's many choices of eggs Benedict, and the not so hungry can order a single instead of getting the usual two pieces. I really enjoyed the side of Parmesan has browns- just the right cheese and crispness. Various sandwiches and other breakfast options are on the menu. They share a parking lot with the motel they are attached to. No street parking. read more

She never asks if we want refills on our drinks, nor has she ever come by to check on us (for that matter no one working there has). We have always had to get her attention to try to get a refill.
