Don't waste your money here. I had the eggs benedict with an extra side of hollandaise sauce. They forgot the side of hollandaise sauce. They went back to get it. Came out after half of my stuff was finished. the hollandaise sauce was cold, like refrigerated. The hollandaise sauce didn't really have much of a taste. Wirh the breakfast potatoes, rhe onions and peppers are cut large. Wish they were diced. My wife got scrambled eggs and crispy bacon. The bacon seemed like it was cooked earlier and just put in a warming pan. The bacon was room temperature and could be rolled up, far from crispy. read more

We were staying at the newly-remodeled Aiden Hotel in Reno and Two Chicks can be entered from the lobby. We ended up eating here two mornings during our trip. First I'll say that this place gets busy! Reservations are a must, unless you get there on the early side. They do have a great check-in system, where they text you when your table is ready. Staying at the hotel made it easy for us to pop down, get our name on the list, go back to our room and wait for our text. Both days it was about a 40 minute wait, but we were trying to get a table at peak times. The food was really good. The menu has all of the standard breakfast items, but also some creative items as well, including gluten-free and vegetarian dishes. The first morning, we both got the huevos rancheros. It looked a bit, um, like a puddle of sauce and refried beans when it arrived, but we dug in and it tasted pretty darn good. The second morning, my husband ordered the French toast and I ordered a vegan skillet. Both were good (see photos). Their drip coffee is excellent. They were also slinging a lot of booze...mimosas, wine, Bloody Mary's. We are not day drinkers, so didn't indulge, but I did order a glass of their Folk Kombucha on tap and it was good. I was a Sous Chef under Doug Nelson in Reno and I assure you that your cook did NOT fix my chicken fried steak properly. He/she grilled it exactly as I described. I judge the quality of a menu based on a couple of items. Chicken fried steak and corned beef hash being at the top of my list simply because they are so easy to screw up. My recommendation to you is to train your people on what each item is supposed to look like. TLDR: Sage Maple Sausage is excellent! Loved the cheddar hashbrowns. No to veggie fritter. Reno version of Scrambl'z. This place really reminds me of the Southbay's Scrambl'z. It's got the same vibrant color scheme, and they both go all in on the eggs. My wife really loved the cute logo of the 2 chicks. This place is a quite big, with several dining rooms. It's attached to the hotel, and even uses its restroom. My wife loves to try new types of sausages, so she was really excited to try the Sage Maple Sausage. I didn't get too much of the Maple flavor, but the sage gave it a great herbal taste to it. The coffee was surprisingly good. Most restaurants have weak coffee water, as she calls it. It's not super strong but strong enough. I got one of my favorite breakfast things... the breakfast burrito. I love the eggs, very fluffy. I didn't get too much of a meat or umami taste. Also the taste was a bit bland. For once, I actually was happy for the chipotle cream sauce, adds a bit of kick and flavor to an otherwise bland burrito. The other thing that surprised us was the dishes were a bit on the smaller side. Only one piece of toast, and it wasn't even that big. Looked like the size of a standard supermarket slice. I tried their veggie fritter, just because it's something unique. I didnt care for it at all. But my wife ordered the cheddar hash browns and I liked it. Again, I wish they gave more. They gave 2 silver-dollar sized portions of hash browns. You can literally eat both in 4 bites. So overall, I would really give it 5 stars, but the small portions knock off a star. read more

If you have been to the original Two Chicks in midtown, you know how good the food is, but how busy that small location can get. This location is huge. Tons of seating ! Still recommend a reservation because it's extremely popular. I got the breakfast poutine. Delicious. Would definitely order it again. Never had push back . When we received our orders, I was told that my salad was tossed THIS TIME BUT to remember that in the future they will not do it again since they are too busy to do it. I was surprised. I didn't ask for substitutions or try to order off the menu. I'd bet their management might take the opportunity to retrain on that service deficit. This is the place to be! Mother's Day was the morning I ate here, I came with my mom and my youngest daughter, it was her first Mother's Day. This place was excellent, loved the decor, the food and the service. We all loved the food at this wonderful establishment. One of the best breakfast spots in Reno, NV. I visit both locations, but the South Reno location is closer to home. Staff is always friendly, food is great and always consistent. This restaurant came highly recommended from a prior Reno resident. The menu is exciting and there were many things that jumped out at us, but unfortunately nothing was great. We were excited about the breakfast poutine and sweet potato pancakes, both were disappointing. The gravy has a strange taste making it so that we couldn't finish the meals, and the pancakes were grey and mushy (raw) with absolutely no taste or color of sweet potato whatsoever. This was our first time to this one but we have been to their Midtown location a few times. The parking and bathroom situation was a little awkward as there is currently construction going on at the hotel the restaurant is attached to but it didn't damper the experience at all. Much like in Midtown, the customer service here is good. This company is pretty good at finding and retaining friendly and efficient staff. The menu right now (and possibly for good) is digital and can be accessed by using your phone to scan the QR code. While you will place your order with your waiter or waitress, you'll use your phone to pay your bill. The option to use Apple Pay was there which I was happy about. It's just so easy and quick to use. I'm not sure if they're accepting cash, though. You'll have to inquire about that. read more

Quick amd simple. If you like a nice American ranch style breakfast you will not get it here. Hashbrowns only come with cheese...lactose being the most common allergian, you think there would be an option but there isnt. The second choise for those with dairy allergy (whey, lactose, and caseine) is sweet potato fries. Not for breakfast people! Eggs, bacon and sweet potato fries...come on!! This is the point I had to get up and leave. $15 for a bacon egg breakfast isnt great to begin with but I can't even get that. Monday morning errands after the time change had me STARVING! I was in S Reno and craving my favorite breakfast - chilaquiles - so Yelp helped steer me to come nearby! 2 Chicks South was my pick, and calling in the order to-go was easy and pleasant. There is some parking lot construction but not too bad, getting access to the business was OK. My order was ready but finding change for a $20 had the staff running around for about 5 minutes, and that seemed a little weird. The chilaquiles were beautifically packaged and garnished with fresh pico de gallo, but overall, the whole dish was pretty dry. Tasty, but dry. I had my phone out to snap a pic of the dish, but somehow I goofed it! It was a nice presentation, I assure you. It had that nice pico on the eggs, and came with 2 small containers of sour cream but some salsa containers would have made them more pleasant to eat. The biscuits and gravy were phenomenal and the side of bacon was crispy as requested! Now the only reason for the 4 star is because of the breakfast tacos. In order for the taco have more depth of flavor and texture, I had to had some bacon and hash browns to them. If not for the additions the tacos were very bland and plated in an unorganized way. We stopped by for breakfast today and I'm so glad we did. I hate going to breakfast places because I have food sensitivities to all the yummy breakfast foods. I usually order hash browns and bacon while my family orders all the good stuff. This is the first breakfast spot we've found that has real options for me as well. I ordered the Veggie Skillet and didn't have to make any modifications! The veggies were crunchy (whaaaa?!?) and seasoned well! I honestly cannot say enough good things about Two Chicks South. It was fantastic! I love chilaquiles - we did verde with no onions and added chorizo it was delicious. We ordered our eggs over medium, they were over cooked, our server offered to have them remade, but we told her it wasn't necessary because even with that tiny hiccup everything was so good!
