The BLTA with parmesan-garlic fries
Catherine C.

A friend and I had a most delicious lunch at Two Chicks South today. The restaurant, decc'd out in primary colors is super cheerful, our food was fresh and delicious, and our server, Karen, was friendly, attentive and helpful. We had the BLTA and the Pepper Popper. So tasty! We hope to be back soon!

As soon as we entered this establishment, we were warmly greeted. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. My friend Jennifer and I thought the Bumble Brie sounded delicious, especially paired with tomato soup. I got an unsweetened latte. I had some stevia in my purse, which I added to my coffee. The Bubble Brie sliced green apples with ham, honey, and melted brie on sourdough. I got mine on gluten-free bread. The first bite is so important. The crunch of perfectly toasted bread with the crunch of the fresh apple, warm brie, and ham will have you closing your eyes. It is a bite you want to remember. It is warm, crunchy, with ooey and gooey cheese makes you want to dip it in soup. What's better than that? What is the classic pairing of a cheese sandwich? Tomato soup is always a favorite on cold days. The soup is thick, rich, and luscious. Our waitress checked on us regularly, making sure we didn't need anything. It was a perfect lunch with my best friend. I will certainly be back. Thanks so much for the warm welcome and friendly service.

3rd time here, and really enjoyed it. This has become a regular spot for me. The food was great and the mimosas were delicious! Sat towards the back and had a really nice visit. Service was great, waitress was super kind and checked on us regularly. 10/10! Would recommend!

My first time to the "south" location.

Arrived early for a brunch meeting only to realize there were quite a few folks in front of me. This is a great sign as this restaurant has a fine reputation. I was greeted and welcomed and added to the list. I was seated well within the time promised. I enjoyed some fresh squeezed OJ. (Squeezed fresh daily) My guest and I chose the biscuits & gravy combo. This was delicious-the gravy excellent as well as the fluffy biscuits. I chose ham, the guest had bacon. The restaurant was clean and orderly. This was my first visit to the south location. We both were well satisfied by our meals and coffee was delicious as well. I would highly recommend this restaurant. It was well worth the wait. Great for larger groups.

It was the first morning of our vacation. So of course, we had to start off with a good breakfast. Looked at several reviews and Two Chicks was always rated high, so we decided to give it a shot. The food was pretty good. Some better than others. I really enjoyed my chorizo scramble and the potatoes that came with it. My friends like their biscuits and gravy, french toast and vegan scramble. One of my friends was not a fan of the grain free sweet potato pancakes she got though. Said it lacked flavor. The coffee was on point which is very important! The service was very good and the atmosphere was fun. If I'm in the area I would stop by again.

Mix and Match Benedict!!

This place is always a favorite for me. I typically get a grilled cheese when I go but today I went with the mix and match Eggs Benedict!! I was not disappointed at all. I went with the Caprese Benedict and the Veggie Benedict. Both were excellent! The balsamic drizzle on the Caprese Benedict was such a yummy treat. Our service was so friendly and our food came out hot and quick!! If you ever are from out of town especially and stop by here take a look and consider grabbing some funny gear!!

Sat at the walk up bar because there was a wait. Glad we did. Very friendly staff and service. Food was very good fresh and hot.

Let me start by saying I not a breakfast person. I had to catch a 9am flight and this restaurant just happened to be so close I thought I would check out since it may be the only meal for the day. It did not disappoint As a vegetarian I am usually limited as well That was not the case. The menu labels all the veg options and gave me no issues substituting the bacon on this dish for a veggie The michelada was one the best in the area. If not the best

Got here and the place was packed! However, I was seated at the counter and immediately received service. ( The hostess and another waitress were awfully rude) But the waitress at the bar was friendly, attentive, polite and very sweet. I gave them a 5 star because of her excellent hospitality. I would hire her in a heartbeat, very customer facing and friendly. The music plays low, not loud and is very easy listening. Warm lighting and vibrant primary colors! The breakfast was perfect!! Hit and delicious and very quickly came to my table !!

Always such a delicious meal! Service was great, ambiance was great as well. The wait was about 5 to 10 minutes, so of course we waited. Definitely one of the places in the area we prefer to go to. Thank you Two Chicks for a delicious meal after running errands on this side of town.

Corned beef hash

I had a great experience at Two Chicks South. It was my first visit to this location, the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming and reminds me of the midtown location, it's a perfect spot for a relaxed breakfast or brunch. The food was absolutely delicious, the corned beef hash special was full of flavor, the eggs were cooked to perfection. The service was excellent, and everyone was genuinely charming and friendly, which truly makes the whole experience. You can really tell care goes into both the food and the experience. Can't wait to visit again!

Almond Poppyseed French Toast Combo
Derah M.

Came in on Sunday around 10AM. It wasn't busy at all, there was no wait time which was surprising. There's usually large groups of people outside on weekends. I ordered the Almond Poppyseed French Toast Combo with over easy eggs and bacon as well as a floral kombucha (I can't remember the name of it). The French toast was thick and covered in blueberry compote. It was sweet enough that I didn't need syrup. The bread was soft and fluffy and tasted like sourdough. The bacon was crispy and I believe the eggs are local. The kombucha was sweet and went down nice. Not harsh like most you find at the store. The taste kind of resembled a floral apple juice. It's local from Lake Tahoe and on tap. Our waitress was excellent. She came to the table multiple times to ensure everything was good. The food also came out quick.

Our server checked on us the right amount and our food came out quickly. We ordered the Giant Hamburger and the BLT. The burger was thick, juicy, and piled high with classic toppings, messy in the best way and full of flavor. The BLT was generously stacked with crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, and tomato on toasted bread, simple and satisfying. The only downsides were the fries and my drink. The fries were overcooked, dry, and a bit too tough. I ordered a vodka soda, and it tasted more like soda with a splash of vodka. Overall, it was a good experience and we would return.

The Onion Rings were tempura style fresh made in house...no frozen bag crap here. For my husband they were a hair on the doughy side but they weren't greasy at all which a totally appreciate. The Garlic bread was tasty having a hard Toasted cheese top with the gooey cheese underneath and the flavor was spot on. I'm a dark beer drinker so I went for the MOOSE DROOL if you had to many the moose wouldn't be the only thing drooling . You can't go to a tavern and not try one of the drafts...that would just be wrong. Hubby had the Prime Rib sandwich thought it was tasty with the chimiruri sauce and provolone cheese. I had the Meatloaf melt. It was the bomb. Tons of grilled onions a total mess to eat but so worth it...just make sure to ask for extra napkins. It was our 1st time eating there however it had been on our list for some time. We started with the PULL-APART GARLIC CHEESE BREAD which is Focaccia, mozzarella, marinara, parmesan, frico crust and also ordered the WOOD FIRED OCTOPUS with crispy gnocchi, tomatoes, red onion, basil, arugula and topped with a Calabrian chili aioli. Both were fantastic, seasoned nicely and cooked to a perfect temperature!! For our entree we hate the BEE STING pizza. Make with a 72 Hour Fermented Organic Dough topped with Salami, red onion, basil, serranos, mozzarella and honey. The crust was delicious, crunchy, thin and when combined with the sauce, seasoning and toppings, an excellent pizza. Additionally we ordered two of the in-house, housemaid pasta. The ARRABBIATA , a roasted red pepper campanelle, with Calabrese sausage, garlic, chilis, broccolini and topped with Parmesan, pecorino. The other pasta we tried was the BLACK SPAGHETTI, mixed with clams, scallops, shrimp, hot chopped peppers, white wine, butter and lemon. It was fantastic!! Cooked al dente and packed with flavor. Overall it was a very pleasant experience. The service was great, food was yummy and we definitely look forward to going back again soon!

The garlic bread pull-apart was honestly one of the highlights of the meal -- absolutely amazing and definitely something we'd order again. The pizza was also really good with great flavor and fresh ingredients. The atmosphere had a nice downtown vibe and felt relaxed and welcoming. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was the service timing after our appetizer order. Once we got the garlic bread, it took about 20-30 minutes before our server came back to take our actual food order, which slowed things down quite a bit. Outside of that, everything else was great. One helpful tip for anyone visiting: there's paid meter parking on the street, so make sure to put enough time on the meter just in case your visit takes a little longer than expected. Overall, definitely worth checking out and we'd still come back again.

I absolutely loved the White Linen -- and that's saying a lot because I'm usually not much of a gin drinker. Tonight I also tried the Blueberry Lemon Drop. I also tried two of their specials -- the Salmon with Alfredo sauce and the Tenderloin sliders. Again, Alfredo normally isn't my thing, but the Salmon was cooked beautifully and the sauce was very enjoyable, especially since they accommodated my request for a lighter amount. Since I couldn't decide between dishes, I ordered the tenderloin sliders to-go as well... and they were delicious too! Our server Miguel was new and did a really good job. You could tell he was just a little nervous, but he was attentive, kind, and handled himself well. Everyone starts somewhere, and I wanted him to know he's doing a great job and will only continue getting better with experience. Another solid visit overall. It was also nice seeing GM Drew working the restaurant floor as usual.
