Got their Buffalo wings to try, tasted nothing like Buffalo wings, sauce is all wrong... chicken was not fried crispy... and texture was rubbery. Also got their promotion BOGO boneless chicken bites... these are super gross - thick - tough to eat, and drowned in some weird tasting sauce "Buffalo Gold"... not tangy, not spicy, nothing at all... except disappointment. I have ordered takeout from this place a few times in the past few years whenever I'm craving for wings. In the beginning it was decent but the most recent order I placed will probably be my last. I've always had an issue with this restaurant. I've had the wrong order delivered to me with my receipt on the bag, sauce leaking everywhere and missing items. One time I ordered wings with the sauce on and the sauce leaked everywhere. I know this isn't the restaurant's fault but they could've used airtight containers when they know there will be a chance of spillage. Because of this, I ordered wings with the sauce on the side the next time and they forgot the sauce. I just had fried chicken with blue cheese. The chicken was NOT fresh and it was so dry (you can tell from the picture I added). I also paid extra to get all flats and they didn't honor that request. Since I wanted to keep the chicken crispy, I got the sauce on the side and pour it into the box to shake up right before consuming. All the flavors were tasty with the Thai chili BBQ and buffalo gold being my favorites. The Buffalo gold isn't really a buffalo flavor, but a Carolina style BBQ. It was hard to describe, but it's yummy. They have huge variety of flavors to choose from, so would love to try the other flavors. Good and cheap wing spot with good variety of flavors. The beef burgers were LACKING flavor in EVERY bite, even with ketchup AND hot sauce added. No depth of salt or seasoning - my Momz couldn't even finish her burger it was so tasteless. Failure. Took a bite of my husband's chicken burger and it was just okay. The wings were nicely fried, but you could tell that they were not pre-seasoned, brined, or marinated - just fried and then tossed in their respective sauces. The sauces added a hint of flavor to the chicken, but as you made your way through, the blandness of the chicken was fully realized. Disappointing. They're not cooking any of the food with love, and it's evident. Fries were decent - crispy, but otherwise unremarkable. A week later and some are still chillin in the fridge, ready to be tossed out. I called beforehand and they had my order ready when I arrived. I brought 7 wings special and the total was $9.98. Thai Chili BBQ was very sweet. I like the wings at The Kettle Black in Bay Ridge more. Twisted Wings is more like take out joint. You don't get the whole eating wings and drinking a cold beer experience. I'm no wing conoisseaur but, I've eaten enough of them to know what suits my liking and honestly don't feel like twisted wings met my standard. I wonder if the wings are pre-cooked ahead of time then lightly fried again and sauces are just slathered on because that's what it tasted like. You are allowed to choose 2 sauces from my understanding so, do so if you want to experiment the flavors. Customer service is good and they seem kind. I want to support because it is close to my boyfriend's place but, it seems like a hit or miss. Some people seem to love it. Different strokes for different folks, maybe? So, try it... The place is small so it's not ideal for large groups but they do have a decent amount of seating..5 single seats by the window and two tables that can seat a party of two. I think she was still under training but the store just opened so that's understandable. They have 24 sauces and all the wings are made to order so expect a wait. I ordered a boneless chicken combo which comes with a side and drink. I got the twisted fries as a side. I thought they'd actually be like curly fries because of the name but they are just regular fries. You can have as many sauces as you want..just tell them how many of each in your order. They've got traditional and boneless wings. Onto the food..the fries were nice and crispy. I was a little disappointed with portion for the wings because they cut them in half and that is considered one piece. Their garlic sauce and Parmesan sauce is okay..I didn't hate it but didn't love it. I was expecting a lot of flavor but it was slightly oily. I did love the extra sides ($1.5 ea) I got though..the Cajun has a light spicy kick and the sweet & sour sauce was great. Although it costs $1.5 for extra sauce, they give you a lot in the container. An awesome addition to this neighborhood. Ordered takeout via yelp/grub hub, my food was ready in time, and they definitely seemed pretty busy. When you order online there's no option to get more than one flavor which I just learned from a previous review, so probably calling and ordering is a better option. We ordered 36 wings (3 orders of 12) one order of naked wings mild, an order of naked wings honey bbq, an order of breaded wings chipotle flavored, mozzarella sticks and a cheddar and broccoli soup. The naked wings are definitely the way to go. The breaded wings were soggy by the time we got back home. They might be better if you order them in store and have it there. The mild was a rich buffalo flavor and with a light kick of spice, honey bbq was sweet and a great flavor, chipotle was definitely a lot more spicy than I expected it to be, a very heavy pepper flavor. The mozzarella sticks were bad but were no longer fresh when we got home, so the cheese kind of hardened back up I guess. Skip the soup, pretty watery, not much flavor at all.
