It has a fun atmosphere and decent selection of beer. I like the staff. My complaint - and this is why I gave it a 4 and not a 5 - is that their wings are never hot enough. I say "make it hot", then when you've done that double the spice. The wings are always little more than mild/medium. As a result I don't come here as often as i otherwise would. If I can give this place zero stars I would , as a bar owner I have a high perspective of customer service. I came here with my friend for a drink and a burger but sadly didn't stay for the burger and barely finished my beer due to my experience. The female bar tender (lev or levy) working today asked us for cards when we asked to move for a window seat. We kindly ensured her we hadn't ordered food yet and were just moving when she said " I mean" and pointed to our drinks. Very passive aggressive behavior from a service industry worker. I let her know there was a kinder way of saying that. When I asked to put my phone to charge she declined because I didn't tip due to her attitude. I have never had someone ask for a tip or retaliate because of such. I understand that tips to my employees are to live a life but i understand that it's also based on the level of service recieved. This was absolute pan handling behavior! The only good thing was the other bar tender Tristan (trissy) who actually served us and was kind. Walk out if you walk in and see that girl working as she should not be public facing as her attitude gets in the way of making sure patrons have a positive experience. As part of NYU student government and the greater New York area I will make sure that all my colleagues are aware that this place is a no no. read more

I've been coming to Wing Bar for years because their wings are usually great, but after not visiting for about two years, this was by far one of the worst service experiences I've ever had. Working in the service industry myself, I know what it's like to deal with people daily -- but if you can't handle that or can't even manage to be the bare minimum of polite, this just isn't the job for you. Our server, Brian, seemed completely out of it -- either drunk, high or just extremely irritated to be there. He took our order, said 'what's up' 'what are you guys having' while making little to no eye contact, mumbled it back, and walked away without confirming anything. When the food came, my wings were wrong (which honestly didn't surprise me, given how little attention he was paying). At one point, he even mentioned that his neck was hurting -- as if that somehow excused the nasty attitude and lack of effort he was giving. It felt like we were inconveniencing him by simply ordering food -- at his job. I waved over the female bartender for help. She checked the ticket, I guess to make sure I was actually right, which already felt off. I calmly said I'd just start eating the flats that came while waiting for the rest (originally ordering all flats) and she took the bowl to show the kitchen their mistake or to prove it? When she brought it back, slammed it down, and said in a nasty, sarcastic tone, "Don't worry, you'll get your five wings," like I was asking for something unreasonable -- when I was literally being calm and understanding. I've never had an experience like this at Wing Bar before, but after this, I won't be returning. It's disappointing to see how far the service has fallen. I never leave bad reviews but this was the WORST service I've ever received. Saw this place while searching online for a wing spot. It's located in a nice location in Brooklyn where there are many reaturants to choose from. The French fries were very well seasoned. There's nothing fancy or upscale about this bar. It could use a makeover to make it more vibrant and attract more customers. Let's get something off the bat first, never and I mean never ask for anything extra spicy especially with Thai food but these wings none the less also meet that criteria. If you look very closely at the photos you can actually see the pepper seeds present in the wings. It was nice being able to dine out during the new pandemic world order. I am very particular about the characteristics of my chosen outdoor dining experience. -Moderate to low street traffic box CHECKED The Wing Bar (TWB) is located on Smith street, which is one lane, with moderate traffic, that is capable of traveling at low to moderate speeds.. -Planter boxes used in street separator (CHECKED). I see many restaurants just plopping wood barricades between the street and outdoor seating area, which do not effective block the patron's line of sight into vehicular traffic. In order to have the restaurant feel outside, there needs to be some level of separation from the street, so some level of commercial privacy. The plants just get the job done because they physically block the view from the street to your table, giving you a kind of traditional indoor dining feel outside. The above are the largest requirements for me for outdoor dining. I've only patronized one restaurant outdoors since NYC's reopening. The food: my Beyond Burger was delicious. The fries were delicious. I'll expand on the fries. They were nice and crispy but not over fried, as you could still taste the potato. They were also reasonably salted. They were some of the best regular French fries I've ever had at a restaurant. I'd return and you should check them out. The customer service was great as well. Let me start off by saying that all the other reviews are correct when they say that the wings here are not hot. We recently came here for a UYE and ordered 100 wings for $75. Along with that, we racked up a bill of $130 in alcohol alone. But we're not here to discuss our bad habits, we are here to discuss our love of wings. I believe we had an order of each type of wing that they offer. As much as I usually prefer HOT wings, the BBQ ones were pretty tasty. The HOT ones were also flavorful but not hot, by any means. I wasn't disappointed, though, due to the fact that I read the reviews prior to going here. Beer prices are fair. Yuengling was $4. They also offer pitchers for relatively cheap but I believe that was for Coors Light and let's be honest, I'm a beer snob so I stay away from Coors, Budweiser, etc. They were also pretty accommodating when it came to our large group. Service was a bit slow at times but we got everything we ordered and everyone was happy. The outside area (where we sat) is amazing. It reminds me of your best friend's backyard on a warm summer day.
