Adding to the rotation! Everything was good! The everything pretzel was piping hot, soft on the inside, buttery and loaded with tasty everything seasoning. Burger came out cooked properly (med rare), and was good quality meat, hand cut fries top notch! I got the mac n cheese and that was good too, especially the crispy cheese on top! The bar and dining area is dimly lit by Edison bulbs, fisherman lamps, and votive candles, and we sat in a cozy rounded booth.

How do I say random last minute stop because nothing else was open lol well atleast this I what i thought. It's July 4th and my wife and I are trying to celebrate our 4th annual wedding anniversary here in Brooklyn. We had a day filled with family fun we even watched a amazing fireworks show from the rooftop of our hotel. Now that the kids are sleeping and we want some drinks we set out with our cousin Gregg who is born and raised in Park Slope BK on foot to find a bar with some food and drinks! After a few stops we find ourselves here at Prospect bar and grill!! Nice mellow joint with some classic hip hop music playing Mos Def, Wu Tang , Outkast just to name a few. Nice place and it wasn't too packed just a right amount of folks to keep the vibe right. We order a few drinks and order some food. Gregg had some bbq wings Gianna had mac and cheese Vikki had half chicken with broccoli and i ordered some garlic shrimp which was banging!!!!!! The food came out in a timely manner and all was good no complaints at all. I will definitely swing back through here next time I'm in BK

Menu very limited, especially for dinner- meager selection of apps, burgers, and salads, not much else. Brunch from 12-4pm, came too late since we really wanted their eggs benedict. Asked for specials and got the fish tacos ($4/each) and brussel sprouts side. @ fish tacos - not on regular menu, fish fried fairly well, unseasoned, topped with Caesar salad, edible, plain @ brussel sprouts - underseasoned, roasted well Come to drink, not to eat. Plenty of seating, not crowded. Disappointed.

Burger with blue cheese and baca on with a side salad.

Like this place. Friendly local bar. Both times I've been hear I've ordered the same thing and it's always been good. Ordered the burger - with bacon and blue cheese with a side salad. Fresh and cooked perfectly. Bartender was really nice. Only nit is that the kitchen closes a little early and a bunch of people came in wanting to eat but couldn't. I'd go back... and likely order the same thing.

Great bar in Park Slope! I stopped in with a friend to grab a couple of beers and I was quite pleased with the selections of beer on tap. Looking forward to getting back to try the food. The bar is laidback but classy. I think it'd make a nice date spot.

I love Prospect because it's reliably delicious, affordable, clean, and has friendly staff. I would order anything off the menu without question whether it'll be good or not - everything at Prospect is solid. Most recently I came here with my mom and aunt, and I ordered wings, which were surprisingly spicy for a person that loves heat. My mom got chicken fingers which came with 7 - 8 pieces (perfectly crispy), and a side of brusslesprouts, which were also delicious. My aunt got a big kale salad, we were all happy. Normally I go for brunch. Yes $4 bloody Mary's and mimosas is the greatest thing ever. Although the bloody upgrade comes with bacon and is worth it. I love everything on the brunch menue especially the burrito & eggs Benedict - home fries/potatoes rock!

We had cousins in town, the 4.5 year old in tow, knew it would be sunny and in the 70s, so... brunch, outdoor space, proximity to 9th Street... punch in the coordinates... boop boop boop...Yelp survey says... Prospect! Not the usual thing along 5th Avenue in the South Slope, but in this case, just what the doctor ordered. We got there at 11:30 on a Sunday, there were tables available in the back, including several in the shade (bonus), so our child could carry on if need be (he didn't), and we could show our out of town guests how we do things in the BK. No disappointments here, save for the coffee, which was weak. My bacon and cheddar omelette was light, fluffy, not excessively greasy, and paired with plenty of home fries and some sort of cress. Wife enjoyed her salad, which included black beans and chicken, and son had raves for the cashew cream on toast, a substitution the waitress was happy to make. All in all, great service and decent food in a sunny spot, impressed relatives, happy kid. Can't ask for much more than that.

Unfortunately this place fell very flat. Leading with what we liked: Their mocktail offerings were good, promising a 0.0% ABV which is hard to come across when mocktails are offered. They serve oysters, which adds to that aphrodisiac experience of the oh so 'wow this is a former brothel!'. The bartenders and servers were fast and very sociable with the more sociable customers. The immediate entrance is very tight, and it was uncomfortable navigating the space. We expected there'd be more seating in the back, which there was, but it was limited and not offered to us until we asked for it. We honestly had no clue where it would be and only asked because of how this place was advertised. While it was comfy once we made our way back there, it was reminiscent of a lounge style bar space that almost any bar could replicate with the right room and budget. We didn't feel as though this hit the spot and were let down by this experience. I'm not sure if I can judge the menu of drinks/ foods as expensive, but we left hungry bc we couldn't justify some of the prices. In addition, I've seen a lot of complaints about the volume of the music: it's definitely loud at the front but a lot lower in that back lounge space. It's as loud as any bar's music level would be, but truth be told we were expecting music that matched the vibe of what was advertised and yes, at a lower volume.

It's classy but not too fancy and has enough space but doesn't get too loud. They have a nice happy hour menu from Tuesday-Friday from 5 to 7 as well as all day on Sundays which has very decent prices such as an $8 old fashioned among other things (see the photo.) the bartenders I've had before have been friendly with some good recommendations. Outside of their wide selection of cocktails which run the gamut of liquors, they have a nice wine selection, a handful of craft beers, and a very small food selection. The first time I was here, I had one drink which was the excellent Star of The Ice Snow for $17 with Iwai 45 whiskey, brie-washed Carpano Antica, Fernet Branca, barrel-aged orange bitters, and sassafras bitters. It had a a bit of bitterness, some sweetness, some spice, and some light mint from the fernet and was a pleasant complex drink and was certainly worth it from the price. The second time I was here was just this evening where I had two drinks. I first went with something that I was thinking of getting the first time which is their outstanding Vivian Darkbloom for $15 with Union mezcal, lime, pineapple, charcoal, Velvet Falernum, and lime bitters. The drink has mild citrusy sweetness as well a bit of smoke from the mezcal and is probably my favorite drink I've had here though the other drink I had the first time gives it stiff competition. I asked the bartender what he recommends and after a small discussion, he said either The Bell Witch (which is a gin and chartreuse cocktail with a strong herbal flavor) or what I went with. Said drink was the Under a Cosmic Cloak for $16 with rhubarb infused rum, Trois Rivieres rum, Smith & Cross rum, yerba mate, lime, grapefruit, and whey. The bartender said that it wouldn't be overly sweet as the rum was milk washed and this was indeed the case with just a mild sweetness and some fruitiness. There was a light herbal flavor otherwise presumably from the mate as well as a light citrus note and overall, it was good though definitely the least complex of the drinks I've tried and probably my least favorite but was definitely not a bad drink. The drinks here are reasonably priced for the quality, the bartenders are friendly, and it is classy but not overbearingly so. I can see why it's popular and I wish I stopped in more.
