Upon entering there is a counter filled with savory scones, croissants, cookies, and cinnamon rolls to name a few. I don't know everything they had because nothing was marked, but they had a nice variety. A small area had bread for sale including sourdough. There was a small area with seating on the side. I chose an unfrosted cinnamon roll, and my husband chose a chocolate glazed donut. The cinnamon roll was soft and with just the right amount of sweetness. I would have liked a small amount of frosting drizzle but they only had the other option of a heavily frosted cream cheese frosting. It still was so good! My husband's donut was very good, he said. I now wish I had bought a scone or something else to try. Alas I will have to come visit Sisters again, as I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.

I had the bacon breakfast burrito, was excellent, great flavor and plenty big. My wife got the egg and cheese bagel. The egg had spinach in it, with a tomato slice, cream cheese and a Dijon mustard. It was delicious, I did have a bite and would order that next time. We also had the cinnamon roll which people said were the best. It was very good, highly recommend. The staff was great for as busy as they were!

They were gone within one block of the shop. It was in the upper 90's outside, so the smoothies were a nice cool drink to enjoy as we strolled through the little itty bitty town of Sisters. The coffee shop is actually inside the shoe store and shares it's space with it.There are little gift items in there as well. Honestly, if the lines are long at the famous Sisters coffee, just go here and get some. The decor is simple & tasteful with a definite calming aesthetic to it. We ordered a cold London Storm & a cold decaf latte to go. They were both excellent & served in adorable jars that you can take back & get a credit. While most places also fill up their cold coffee drinks with ice, here they shake them with ice in a cocktail shaker then put them in the jars without extra ice. It's so delicious & keeps the coffee flavor so much more! While there are other coffee places in Sisters, we are definitely heading back to The Slow Down State next time we're in town!!

I ended up getting a black cherry flavor, and my husband had a sundae with bourbon fudge and chocolate brownie flavors which were pretty rich tasting. My black cherry was more refreshing. The fudge and chocolate prices were a little high, but good quality ingredients aren't cheap anymore. There was a decent amount of seating inside with a cute atmosphere.

The pastrami was house-smoked, and it was so tender. For $15, we received your choice of chips and a cookie as well. Very good deal. Susan, who took our order, was very patient with us and explained the menu and seating next door in the mercantile that was purchased in July of 2025. We will definitely be back to try other offerings as I expect they are as great.
