A beautiful awesome day, amazing people of the world. Today we are at Twisted Fork in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia. We're coming in for some good brunch cause you know, me and the crew gotta eat before heading up to whistler for some shred sesh. I ordered the shakshuka which was an ovolacto vegetarian option. Something that I usually gravitate to whenever I see it on the menu. A play of sweet, savory and acidic paired up with the pita bread is destruction my friend. Then there's the French toast which was perfect. The fruits were spot on with the ripeness and the toast had great flavor and texture. Not overly sweet as well. Anywho, we had an awesome time smashing away at the food here. I highly recommend coming here for brunch if you guys are in the area. Great little breakfast place in Gastown with seating inside and out. Breakfast cocktails, strong breakfast options, people watching and a friendly waitstaff make it a worthwhile destination. The stuffed French toast serving size was too much for this mere mortal but every bite was scrumptious. My companions cleared their plates too. The only sorta suggestion I would levy would be to offer some sort of protein to counter all the sweetness in the French toast.
Uniquely designed brunch recipes are amazing in taste. Both sweet & savoury options are available. Menu is not so vast but serves the purpose of a brunch restaurant. Both alcoholic & non alcoholic drinks are available but in coffee only French press option is available. Atmosphere of this place is unmatchable. Most desiring location under the sun and in the city's most happening area. There is indoor seating as well. Staff is great too. We ordered French toast which was definitely a big portion served with some fruits n maple syrup but so delicious. Our other dish was savoury topped with perfectly poached eggs served with a naan bread , olives & some hummus.
Grabbing brunch and saw this had high ratings so we slipped in. This is located in the Gastown district which means street parking. The area is very walkable and a high tourist area as well. Seating is limited but they do a great job with the space they have. The menu is limited and the main dishes are a little pricey but I will tell you they are worth it. I was more than full when I left. I ordered the Eggs Benny with bacon and it also comes with spinach, hash browns and baked beans. The hash browns were crispy on the outside and creamy alarmist buttery on the inside. Great flavor. The beans have a Smokey BBQ flavor to them. I not normally a baked bean person but I definitely ate about half of theses. The main portion was amazing. Perfectly toasted Brioche with length of perfectly cooked bacon topped with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. The yolk break was so satisfying and the bread to dip-ability was perfect. My boyfriend ordered the French toast and I took a couple bites and it yelled bananas. It was so tasty. Also the French press coffee was so smooth. The staff was quick and polite. Fast to turn over tables as people finished up which was needed for the line that was starting to form. We will be recommending this place to friends who visit here for sure! The decor is super cute and it he place of very clean.

Sad I wasted a meal in Canada on this place. I decided to check this place out due to the high yelp and google reviews, but I regret it. There are 4 brunch options for $25 CAD. Not worth it. The service is good, but the cooks handling of the food makes me want to gag. I think this food gave me the runs. The cooks are sweating, wiping their sweat, and making your food. Wish I could go back in time and skip this place.
This is an amazing spot for brunch! Tasty food and really cute and cozy vibe. My friends and I arrived with a party of six and it took less than ten minutes to get us seated... not sure if we lucked out but the wait never looked very long! I got the Eggs Benny with salmon and it was amazing and the Asiago scones are a MUST! If you order coffee, it comes to your table in a French press which you get to press & my tea drinkers got a cute little tea pot! You've gotta check out this spot when you're in Vancouver!
I've only been to Twisted Fork for dinner at their old location on Granville so I was excited to try their brunch. I love the space here! It's so bright and the decor is very interesting. The Banana stuffed brioche French toast came with 3 giant pieces of bread! The vanilla whipped cream was really good! The bread was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The Shakshuka was a flavourful mixture of eggplant, tomato and onion. It came with house made pita bread, tahini and salad. All their brunch items are $23.50.
We found Twisted Fork in Yelp since we wanted to do brunch today. It's located at the end of Gastown, and at about 10:30am, we had to wait for just a little bit (5-ish minutes) for a table. We drinks we had the mimosa, Frenchie's Lemonade and the white Sangria. Honestly they were okay - next time I could get the drinks, or pass on them. For our meal my husband ordered the Croque Monsier. It was really good - savory and warm. But it is a very heavy dish - but he still ate most of it! I took a chance on a new dish for me - the Shakshuka. I loved it! The tomato base has a tiny bit of a kick and all the produce in it was very tasty. The poached eggs were perfectly made and a beautiful marigold color. My son ordered the Smoked Salmon Benny, and he ate the entire dish. It also had the perfectly poached and beautiful eggs. This was a great brunch, and I know on our next trip to Vancouver we'll have this one the list to go to.
Visited Twisted Fork for brunch with a few of my girlfriends and we enjoyed our visit. The food was delicious and the coffee was amazing. There's usually a long line up but because we went 5 minutes after opening we were able to skip the crowd. One of the best breakfast restaurants near the edge of Gastown and Chinatown. We stumbled on this popular eatery on our way to Vancouver's Chinatown. Best time to go just before 9am otherwise there can be a long lineup. Order their organic pancakes...a lot of vegan choices! Limited seating. $-$$. No reservations, parking in the streets.
Quaint little place in Gastown. Came in on our last morning in town for breakfast. Started with a pot of French Press coffee. That was kinda neat, as I've never had coffee that way before. Ordered the baked eggs and Gruyère cheese, It was good, but came to life when the waiter brought over a bottle of their O's hot sauce. Ended up buying a bottle of that stuff to take home! Can't remember the name of the dish my daughter had, but it was very Mediterranean, and very good. All-in-all, very well done.
First time at twisted fork and had the best brunch experience. Servers were attentive and friendly. The portions were huge, very filling and delicious. I love me some condiments and twisted fork's homemade MANGO jam and homemade hot sauce....was amazing.
Dropped by on a Monday afternoon with two friends. Safe to say there was not a crowd. We stayed on the patio for about 3 hours believe it or not. Staff was friendly and attentive. I thought the food was great. It is EXACTLY what you would expect in quality and proportion when going out for brunch. It seems like they really perfected everything on the dish, but there was nothing that stood out. I had a smoked salmon eggs benedict, my dining companion had the eggs in eggplant shashuka, we both had coffee. My serve of eggs benedict: Buttery toasted brioche, crisp around the edges rösti, perfectly poached eggs, well-seasoned chopped spinach, rich baked beans. It was a plate of happiness. Was searching for breakfast in the area as we stayed by a nearby hotel. Was researching that this place was amazing as well...and boy it was! The salmon eggs benny was very fulfilling and satisfying. it was not greasy, or difficult to eat. It was very healthy, filling, and packed with flavour. The eggs benny came with a potato cake side, spinach, beans MMMM!! Every side was so hearty, healthy, and just ... great! Between three people we split the stuffed banana french toast in the middle, and boy oh boy was that fantastic. With fruits on the side, the banana french toast is worth it on the side. I would highly recommend both dishes. Definitely would recommend checking out this brunch spot. Service was great. Small little brunch spot that is definitely worth trying. Come here with a few people, and you're gonna be satisfied and thrilled for the first meal of the day. P.S. when you order coffee, they give you your own french press! mmmm. read more

We had brunch here in December 2018 and really enjoyed it! First, it's a somewhat small entry/facade, that you could miss if you're not paying attention. Also, it's a small(ish) place so probably ideal to not come with a huge group. Yes, there will probably be a wait, but it was manageable when we went! The restaurant will text you when your table is almost ready and the system that they have implemented is very efficient - they are clearly used to the brunch crowds and handle them well. I appreciated that everything on the menu is the same price - it just makes things simple both for the customer and the restaurant. We opted for the eggs benedict (with traditional ham), and the ratatouille and both were delicious! They make their own bread in-house and it's used instead of an English muffin on the benedicts. They also make their own ketchup (and I'm sure many other things). I loved that the eggs benny was served with a perfect golden-brown hashbrown, beans, and spinach! Sometimes when you just get potatoes with your eggs benedict, it's just too much carbs and super filling. I liked having the variety of the other sides! Everything seemed really fresh and wholesome and most importantly, it was really tasty. We didn't get any drinks, so I can't comment on that but I saw a lot of people enjoying the French press coffee! My only minor complaint is that the space is a little cramped depending on where you sit (smallish tables and pretty packed). All in all, I highly recommend! read more

There's really nothing I can complain about when I think about my experience at Twisted Fork. My friends and I came from California to visit and Twisted Fork was at the top of the list for brunch recommendations. We were aware that we were going to run into a bit of a wait which was normal for them and it was fine with us. When I walked in, I was greeted with smiles and people who were ready to help me. I was told that it'd be about a 45 minute wait. Food: After waiting, my friends and I were extremely excited to order. We got the eggs benedict with smoked salmon, eggs benedict with bacon, and the banana stuffed french toast. For me, smoked salmon is usually a hit or miss but at twisted fork, it was definitely a huge hit. I loved the potatos, spinach, and baked beans that came with it. I felt that it all tied the dish together well and was extremely flavorful and filling. I had a few slices of my friend's french toast (which was HUGE) and wow it melted in my mouth!! I would recommend all of these dishes as they are classics for a brunch restaurant and TF really knows how to make their food. Drinks: We ordered a few mimosas to compliment our meals and they were all very fruity and delicious. No complaints with the bubbly! Service: They were extremely friendly, always ready to fill our water glasses, and super easy to flag down. Super glad we made a stop here as it was one of my favorite meals during my trip. I really liked how we could get on the wait list then wait for a text when our table was almost ready. We were able to kill time by checking out some shops up the street. The staff was super friendly and the food was delicious! We had coffee with Bailey's, baked eggs and eggs benny. I liked the jam and homemade ketchup - awesome unique touch! read more
Located on the Granville Mall between Davie St & Helmken - the Twisted Fork is a neat & cool decored small narrow restaurant. I'd have never known about it - if it wasn't for Yelp! This is one of those 'if you blink you'll miss it' type locations. I started off with coffee & Baileys! Why not!? I ordered the eggs benedict with smoked Salmon & a side of bacon. Of course I poured a side of maple syrup all over my bacon! Really enjoyed my tasty breakfast/brunch. It came with hash, beans & spinach. A very hearty filling brunch indeed! Friendly staff & good vibes all round here. Being at the southern end of the Granville Mall - one will tend to head north afterwards for more shopping options, pubs, etc. So if you're wondering around this side of Granville give TF a try! read more

I wouldnt call twisted fork an exceptional place to get your brunch though. It is yet very basic and got the usual stuff. Just fyi twister fork is one of the most reviewed place in vancouver on yelp so this has been a place to go for a review. But just in my perspective that the food were pretty weak and there are better places to get brunch for me. Nonetheless, the shakshuka was the star dish of the brunch. I would recommend getting this compared to the other options. Cheers! read more

This is hands down one of the best brunch places I dined at during my visit to Vancouver. I came here on a Sunday morning just before 9am... the place was 3/4 full. For caffeinated drinks, they only have French pressed coffee- but it is very good. I split one carafe with my husband- this was enough for the both of us. For the main course, we got baked eggs with smoked gouda, bacon, baked beans, and sourdough toast. This was VERY good. There were about 3 baked eggs provided, which is more than enough for one person. The baked beans were slightly sweet, I though these were ok. The sourdough toast was very good- crispy yet fluffy. We also ordered an Asiago scone on the side- very tasty. This went well with whatever preserve they gave us on the side. The preserve tasted fresh as well. When I come back to Vancouver, I will definitely come here for brunch. read more

What a perfect place to relax, eat and soak up a little sunshine all at once. What a delicious and creative space. Everything is made in house and you can definitely tell. The food was amazing and the portions are very generous. The staff was awesome. It seemed like there was 2 of them on the floor for the space and they were working together wonderfully. We never waited for anything, they both took great care of us. We ordered the scrambled eggs and the bacon Benny. I wanted to try the French toast because it looked so amazing, but I decided to wait for that for next time ( because there will definitely be a next time). The scramble with feta and corn was so delicious, it was nothing I have had before. Simple yet super tasty, and the house made jams are out of this world. I could of definitely used a whole jar of those. They also brought over a house made hot sauce which was stellar, I would of bought that if they sold it. Perfect amount of heat with loads of flavor. Definitely try it if they have it. I had a wonderful experience here and I will certainly be coming back. read more

This place really hits the spot! Thier online resovations make it SO easy to plan brunch with a friend and meet there. They make it easy to decide what to get by making most things on the menu 17.50, which is brilliant. Who wants to do math with a hangover on a Sunday morning after spending way too much on Saturday night out? Special mention to the pumpkin jam that I thought was apple butter jam. On second sober taste it definitely has a classic deep fall vibe. read more
Twisted Fork was pretty cool. It's been on my list of restaurants to try when in Vancouver for a while, and I am happy that I got to try it this trip. Their online waitlist is also awesome, but since we went in sorta 'off season' and first thing in the morning, there was not a wait. But even then, the restaurant was filled up quickly, which tells me how popular they are. I tried the Croque Monsieur and hubby opted for the Frittata. We both ordered their coffee (French pressed). Both dishes were tasty. The service was very friendly and prompt. The whole restaurant has a very cool vibe to it. If I live in Vancouver or anywhere close to Vancouver, I can see this as one of my usual weekend breakfast/brunch rotation restaurants for sure. read more

I chose Twisted Fork because they had an interesting looking breakfast menu and a interesting vibe. Both are true. A short wait on a busy Saturday morning and I had a seat at the bar. A few moments later, a large pot of coffee. Technically, a French press. Rich and hot coffee, for sure. For breakfast, I had the feta and andouille sausage frittata. Good sized portion and very tasty, though it did need a little bit of hot sauce to kick it up. The corn salsa with it was good and I also enjoyed the zingy dressing on the greens. Next time, I'd want a bit of toast on the side to go with it. Neat vibe. It is downtown Vancouver. There are some... interesting... people hanging around. They do have a decent looking bar so if you're thinking of getting a "hair of the dog," then this is the spot for you. read more
We started off with brunch here on our first full day in Vancouver. Although the wait was about 40 minutes, it went by quickly as we wandered the streets nearby and reparked our car. I also loved that they send you a text once your table is almost ready! The servers and host here were a shine of light with their cheery attitude too. We were luckily seated in the booth at the front of the restaurant next to the window for some sunshine, although it did get quite warm. I ordered the Pulled Pork Eggs Benny with toasted brioche, poached eggs, hollandaise and served with sautéed spinach, rosti and baked beans while he ordered the Croque Monsieur with brioche, smoked gouda, cheddar and ham served with fresh greens and house tomato sauce. All entrees are $16.50 CAD, so it made everything very easy and simple. I loved my eggs benny with the perfect runny, poached egg. All the sides complimented the dish very well including the baked beans, which is saying a lot because I am not a fan of beans at all. As for the croquet monsieur, be warned that this dish is humongous so prepare yourself with an appetite to eat. The sandwich is thick and stuffed, which is exactly how you'll end up once you're done eating. Overall, solid and yummy brunch spot with great service and housemade jam and ketchup! read more
Strong Kitchen and Restaurant need an upgraded location. More space and better neighborhood Food and service good but would not go there again. High yelp reviews led us here. Neighborhood is shady. Street too dirty. Ambience is relaxed and somewhat eclectic. Friendly staff who joke w you from the beginning. Tight place to sit. They don't do reservations and you can't add your name to list on yelp, so be prepared for a long wait on a bad neighborhood. Nothing to do while you wait, no place to wait other than the street that is known for being dirty and shady. Numerous homeless approached us as we waited. On to the food. French press coffee was really good. Worth 2nd and 3rd cups! Scones and banana bread freshly made. Scones in particular were very tasty. Frittata with chorizo was well prepared. Chorizo was tasty and well seasoned. Brioche French toast was very filling. Croque Messieur also very filling and a bit heavy on butter. Proportions in general are very generous. Low on the scale was the baked egg, tasteless and in need for some spice in there. Ask for their home made ketchup, really tasty. read more

(Eggs Benny) Pro: - Customer Service, super friendly - Clean Establishment - Good food portions Cons: - Food is average (maybe less), hash browns left a cinnamon after taste, it doesn't say that in the menu and may be dangerous for allergies (Maybe they just cooked my hash browns after a French toast) also I just don't like cinnamon on my hash browns. Eggs Benedict lacked in A LOT of flavor, no offense but it was prepared for people without taste buds - Atmosphere (dim), there are restaurants with dim lighting that I have no problems about but this is a breakfast/brunch place so it should represent more of that than a dinner, also me personally I like to look at my food and dim lighting makes my eyes strained after a while in there - Space, it's a bit cramped, feels like a high school hallway when the bell rings and you're trying to go Mrs.Johnsons class but it's across campus and you only have 1 minute before class starts and you already have 3 lates so you're 1 more away from detention read more
It was our first meal in Vancouver, so my friend and I decided to try Twisted Fork Bistro. We took a seat at the bar and gladly took the advice of our server. We ordered: Asiago Scones Eggs Benny with Pulled Pork Banana Stuffed Brioche French Toast Frenchie's Lemonade Our server said the pulled pork Benedict was life-changing. She was not joking. It was incredible. My view of pulled pork is forever changed. The meat was tender, moist and well-seasoned. The Asiago scones are absolutely perfect. They have a nice, light crust on the outside and are soft and fluffy on the inside. The housemade strawberry jam goes well with the savory scones. The banana stuffed brioche french was delicious and not too sweet. The Frenchie's lemonade, a mocktail, has OJ, lemon juice, soda and maple syrup...wow! It was fantastic! Haven't been here for a while but this place is always busy so I recommend a group no bigger than 4. The place is long and narrow. When you get there, you put down your name and number and they will text you when your table is almost ready so you can go walk around and come back a bit later. Make sure you don't walk too far and try to get back within 10 minutes. The decor is warm and cozy and very inviting. The menu is on a clipboard and the top of the clipboard has a twisted fork on a spring to hold the menu up. I showed my friend as she didn't notice it and she thought it was cute. The coffee comes in a french press, so they advise you to let it steep for another 3-5 minutes before you pour into your cup. I had the frittata and my friend had the French toast. The frittata was delicious and the corn relish has a nice little hint of heat and flavour to it. I would definitely order this again but will try some other dishes. read more

We were in from out of town and stayed at a condo nearby. We walked over here and were so glad we did! Two of us had the scrambled eggs with veggies, rosti (potato item), roasted tomatoes and sautéed spinach. Plus it cane with really thick, tasty sourdough. All very yummy! We are both asked if we wanted a side of bacon...we both said yes thinking it was a piece or two...we each got 6! So, enough to split. :) My husband had the banana stuffed French toast and it was SO good! And I don't like bananas! Thick, with the most fabulous whip cream! If we get to return, I'm def trying the croque monsieur, another table got it and it looked amazing! read more

We visited for brunch and dinner on our trip. We loved the Prime Rib, French toast, and Eggs Benedict. From the awesome music and atmosphere, you feel instantly part of a special place. The raised table next to door is my favorite spot. read more
