Always great. Just a quick follow up on my previous review. Service and atmosphere: Friendly, cool and relaxed. Never disappoint. Food and drinks: Great food selection, tasty, well seasoned, nicely served. I highly recommend lemon pepper grilled and smoked chicken wings! Delicious!! We're well made cocktails are a must too. Pricing: $$ - super worth the entire experience.

Knotty Brunette Brown Ale. Cold yet friendly.

The servers/bartenders are often what make the difference between a good experience or bad one or a great experience and an unforgettable one. My server, Shianne, elevated a simple lunch into a fun meal that was both delicious and memorable. She had perfect recommendations for food and drink and it seemed she took time to make all of the customers she were serving had the same experience. Overall, the food was tasty, drinks were great and everyone I interacted with were on point and professional, but also friendly and welcoming. This is best restaurant of this type, who am I kidding, of any type I've been to in the Houston area.

Came in to watch the championship game and I was right on time. Seating was plentiful but due to the occasion there wasn't an empty seat in the house. There was plenty of parking and an additional lot adjacent as well. I ended up getting a few shots, beers and ordered some chicken nachos. Overall this was a good visit and I shall return.

I went here to watch some sports games over the weekend and it was really awesome! I love the atmosphere and the chairs are very comfortable. I love how this bar has multiple TVs and the food was actually very delicious as well as the drinks. Our waitress was awesome! I will be here again in the future to watch other games

Perfect for Game watching!

They managed to keep the same relaxed neighborhood vibe people love while giving it a much more modern, polished, and upscale feel. The updated design, lighting, TVs and overall atmosphere look incredible and make the space feel fresh without losing its personality. They still have the spinning drink wheel! The outdoor seating especially feels elevated now and makes for the perfect Houston brunch spot or night out. One of the best parts about NextDoor is that it's connected to Hungry's, which means you get full access to their menu while enjoying the lounge atmosphere. Being able to order everything from cocktails and appetizers to full meals while at a bar is a game changer. The food is consistently good, the drinks are strong (especially the frozen options) well-made, and everything comes out quickly. What keeps me coming back year after year is the consistency. The staff has always been welcoming and attentive, the crowd is chill, and it never feels overly pretentious or chaotic. It's one of those rare spots that works for everything, whether it's happy hour after work, date night, catching up with friends over drinks on the patio or a solo adventure. Love seeing a longtime Houston favorite continue to evolve while still delivering the same great experience that's kept me coming back for years. Definitely one of my go-to spots on Memorial Drive. My only suggestion is to tell the younger staff members to be conscious of their conversations while guest are dining nearby. I love people watching but I heard a lot of things. It appears Hungry's uses the bar area like a break/training room or to do other tasks like rolling utensils in napkins.

Both drinks were pretty good and surprisingly strong! There's a few games outside too like giant connect 4 and Jenga. There's lots of fans around to keep the area cool and comfortable even though we were outside in the Texas heat.

Monday Night Steak Special at By Popular Demand - Memorial…read more By Popular Demand in Memorial has a fantastic Monday night steak special -- your choice of a ribeye or filet mignon with two sides for just $20. Chrissy and James bring such warmth and joy to the evening that it truly feels like you're among friends. Chrissy was our ambassador for the meal and she's down to earth. Glass of water was set of down within minutes of sitting down. Start with the tuna bites appetizer -- a perfect lead-in to the main event. The E.H. Taylor Small Batch pairs beautifully with the steaks and rounds out the experience. This is a Mazraff's restaurant, but with a very different vibe. Instead of a formal dining room, the space feels casual and relaxed -- more like a bar or even a cozy living room. It's a great place to hang out, unwind, and enjoy good food in a laid-back setting.

After dinner in the area, I stopped by By Popular Demand for drinks on a Tuesday evening with two…read morefriends. First off, great name for a bar. Second, I discovered that they're owned by the same people behind Masraff's. That's a good start. They're located in a shopping center with several other businesses, including a cat vet right next door. While it was busy, I didn't have trouble finding a parking spot. Ambiance (4/5): This is part of where By Popular Demand (BPD) shines. The interior is trendy, with both tabletop seating and more comfortable chairs and sofas. There's a small patio in the front and a larger one on the side. There aren't a ton of seats inside, so think of it as a smaller, more intimate bar. Service (3.5/5): A little slow to start out with as it took our waitress a good while to come and take our order (we were sitting on the front patio). She did apologize for the delay, and she was friendly from there on out, so things improved throughout our evening there. Food (N/A): I had dinner prior so I was on a liquid diet. I have heard they have a pretty awesome steak night on Mondays though. Next time around! Drinks (3.5/5): While they have a full bar, BPD is a cocktail bar. They have 10-12 craft cocktails, plus everything else you would expect at a bar. I went with That Cucumber Drink. I'm always a fan of any cocktail that incorporates cucumber. It was one of the few items on the menu that stood out to me. A decent number of of the offerings are more of your standard cocktails (margaritas, ranch waters, etc.) and a good number have brown liquor (while I prefer clear liquor). Not the best menu for my taste, but that's not to say it's not a solid menu. Next time around, I'll have to stop by for steak night or to try out their food menu.

I came here for a…read moregroup happy hour - had to drive through a few neighborhoods to get here and was surprised to find this place randomly situated on an industrial-like road. When I said no-frills, I meant it. The drink selection is quite slim and for someone who go out of their way for beer, there weren't really many other options. Our large party had a buffet of food - all of it was basic but tasty - panko-breaded chicken tenders, chips and queso, and quesadillas. Service was actually stellar throughout our time here. Bartenders and servers came around to our group frequently to ask if they could get us anything. I did not expect that from a divey bar like this. While I wasn't blown away by this place and probably don't have much reason to come back, I can see why folks would come out here for a drink or to watch a game, especially if living in the Spring Branch area.

It was a chill spot, and my friends and I enjoyed having a few beers and grabbing a bite to eat. Unfortunately, my experience after that completely changed my perspective. My friend and I had separate tabs, and at the end of the night, she paid for the 4 beers on my tab, so my balance should have been zeroed out. The next day, I noticed a $100 charge on my card. I called the bar, and Denise was able to identify that something went wrong, but said she didn't know how to fix it and advised me to call back the next day to speak with the owner. Since then, I've been calling daily with no resolution. At one point, someone even told me the owner "didn't have time" to address my issue. I've left my number multiple times and haven't received a single call back. It's really disappointing because we genuinely had a good time, but the lack of follow-up and customer service has been frustrating. I understand mistakes happen, but the way this has been handled is not okay. Just wanted to share my experience so others are aware.

Hard to mess that up though right? I asked if they had any stouts and if so, if they could provide a sample. I'm so happy I asked for a sample and didn't just order the "one" stout they had.
