It is probably one of our home projects that required a lot of involvement, patience and constant follow up. Custom Pools stood out as the one with fair pricing, clear process and honestly, great reviews like the one I am making. Those were the reasons we selected them. I give them 5 stars because they delivered a beautiful pool and took care of all issues that came up. So let me tell you about the process. Their sales guys- Hugo- was personable and accommodating, he was the one that basically dealt with us throughout, and probably got tired of us because we called him a lot, and I mean a lot! Once we signed the contract and paid the deposit, it took several weeks for permitting, some delays were due to the company not filing right away because their guy was out and the City took their sweet time. Once they got permits, they moved very expeditiously. Only delays worth mentioning were more towards the end with decking and final inspections but once these were overcome, the project was on its way to completion. We had a punch list of issues that came up during the project but they took care of those and by the end all was to satisfaction. We started in February signing the contract, the actual construction of the pool started in June and we finished in September. So I would say it was a fair timeframe. We never met the owner during construction, however, at the end, we wanted to have a pool party to celebrate our Daughter's 12th b'day and it had to be postponed one week due to weather and a few remaining items. I called the company and got Dago- the owner-, who took care of business and did his best to ensure the pool was ready, clean and fantastic to have the party on the rescheduled day. So in other words, they came through and we wrapped it up with a bow! I would certainly recommend them. I would just advise that you must be on top of the project and act as a project manager to ensure things get moving at a good pace. These guys are great, just keep in mind, they have other projects running simultaneously and work with teams of subs as any other pool builder. Everyone was nice and did a great job!

Which in my humble opinion is a fair reason having sat in traffic going only 25 miles that can take over an hour plus depending on the time of day, accidents, and weather. So I took that review off. But then Chris sent me another message saying thank you and even offered to review quotes for me so I would not be taken advantage of. This is an above and beyond offer and I felt that I needed to let everyone know. That I am extremely happy with Isla & Sun Pool Service. My last guy every 3 months was telling me that I had to change my filter. And in 5 years since my pool renovation, I have gone through 2 Pool Pumps and a Salt Water pump. And my pool always had algae, and was serviced once a week, and I also have a M8 vacuum. I decided to have I & S come out to give me a quote and to tell me what I needed to make my pool sparkling. All it took was some adjustments and chemicals and I can't tell you how beautiful it looks, my M8 goes up my wall which it hasn't done in years and best of all NO Algae!!! I Love I&SPS. Structural issues and zero accountability!…read more We hired Gray Dolphin in June 2021, and while the pool initially looked beautiful, the experience has turned into a nightmare. Within the first year, cracks appeared in the coping. We tried to be reasonable and even paid for materials for a repair, but the cracks have now spread across the entire deck. Multiple independent experts have confirmed the issue is the concrete slab--the very foundation Gray Dolphin installed. We have documented proof that the cracks are originating from the sub-surface they built. Despite our attempts to reach out professionally to Robert to find a solution, our concerns have been ignored. A pool deck should not be failing in under 5 years. If you want a builder who stands by their structural work, look elsewhere!

Their estimate was totally fair, and I appreciated that they weren't pushy and didn't try to rush us into a decision. The service was excellent, as usual. Glad to have found a reliable company for my parents. One less thing to worry about! One other note - there is a company with a very similar name that also works in the area called Dadeland Pool Plus. I think they're more of a pool supply company? I don't know, but I inadvertently called them a few times when trying to reach Dadeland Pool. It was def a little confusing before I realized what was going on.
