I go to turning point at least once a month ! My favorite servers are Breanna, and Amanda. Today I had Jaiere - He did a great job as well. I always get the Avocado smash benny and Ice tea ! There Ice Tea is delicious and if they have simple syrup that's a great addition to the tea. They have an awesome manager He might be new as I have not seen him before. Very nice, checked in with us to make sure everything was going well. I made a comment to my friend about how cute the avocado socks were and when I walked out the manager ran after me and handed me the socks ! Never expected such a thoughtful gesture ! How can you go wrong with breakfast? The Turning Point in Media managed it! Start with a caramelized onion and bacon omelette. Delivered it was a weird onion omelette, definitely not caramelized onions, with almost non existent bacon. The potatoes were cold, not Luke warm but cold. The English muffin wasn't cooked , maybe microwaved for 10 seconds. Two of my other dining partners experienced the same and in fairness, two others liked theirs ( pancakes and waffles). Went here for lunch. Lots of people in the restaurant. I ordered an iced tea and salad and chili. Iced tea was ok, salad was absolutely a mess. The lettuce was so heavy with water that the whole salad was drowning. I had the dressing on side but due to the amount of saturation on the lettuce, you couldn't taste it at all. The chili was just ok. Served with no crackers or bread. No refills on iced tea because server was also checking people in and collecting bills. She was impossible to catch. Dining partner said her chicken was tough. I think it needs better management and to iron out some of these things. Invest in a salad spinner for one. People like crackers or bread with chili. Offer refills for iced tea. Come back to the table and check in. read more

I ordered from Uber eats and let me tell you...I HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE CONFIDENT IN A REVIEW THAN RN! The best meal I've had in MONTHS! When I tell you I was literally moved by the shrimp omelet I mean I was literally moved to almost tears! The pure serotonin that coursed through my body as I ate every single bite will be something I fight to recreate in my life. The avocado was genius and the way the outer layer was crisp...I never thought I'd be raving over an omelet on Yelp like this. I almost called the restaurant to give my compliments but figured that'd be going a tad too far so here I am trying to spread how amazing this place is on Yelp! I also tried the pancakes, they were very fluffy and worth every penny. As someone who normally gets full after eating less than half a plate of food I found myself guzzling down a whole omelette and potato's and 4 mini pancakes...I didn't know I was capable of this. On Jan 19th, I met some friends to celebrate her birthday at Turning Point. It was a disappointing experience. Initially the staff could not locate my name, I had called an hour prior to request the wait time. Approx 75 min was quoted as wait time . We didn't get seated till about 90 min instead of 75 min. The staff is incompetent and the look of the restaurant not very appealing. I will not return to Turning Point ever again. And the food quality is not that great either. All in all, a let down for me and my friends. read more

My girlfriend and I had lunch at Turning Point today The food was very good. Service was excellent. This establishment is practicing COVID 19 protocols ... Limited seating , you can sit inside or outside (We sat outside), the staff is full prepared with masks and gloves and they are practicing social distancing by placing patrons- sparingly ....every other table,etc. The customers are wearing masks until it's time to eat which was a pleasant surprise. Overall a pleasant but unique experience during this novel time. Everyone , staff and customers made the best of a bad situation. I hope they continue to be successful. First time we went (Saturday, opening week, party of 4), we were seated inside. Everything was wonderful - our server, the food, overall staff. Second time (following Saturday), not so good. We were seated outside, water glasses had lipstick on them, table had not been wiped clean, waited a long time to get our orders, and the food wasn't as good as previous week. Breakfast food delight! Turning Point is the turning point for all average breakfasts. This new and hip place will put a snazzy spin on what you thought regular breakfast flavors taste like. Their staff is on point and the location is prime time. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. I'd definitely recommend this spot and plan to return again. read more

Great little diner, the griddle and pancakes were some of the best I've had. I especially loved the pancake flight - great idea to be able to try out up to 3 different pancakes, I got blueberry lemon, cinnamon bun and bourbon maple and they did not disappoint. Ok, first time here. So the wait was not bad 15 mins to get seated. Pitchers of ice water with lemon on every table so you immediately have something to quench your thirst, I loved this idea. Very nice and clean atmosphere ( it is brand new) I had the Belgium waffle and my hubby had the western omelet. We also got sides of sausage and bacon. I ordered the French press coffee which was 9 bucks. My husband told me the house coffee was actually very good and he laughed at my 9 dollar coffee. They give you a pot of coffee so your not waiting on refills (about 3 cups worth) which is generous. Our waitress was very nice BUT service was a bit slow, my hubs asked for a box to take his leftovers home but she threw them away by mistake. He had only eaten about 30% of it! The manager took his meal off the bill and they both apologized. Then? We gave her our credit card to pay and she lost it! Lol. It took her awhile but she did find it and checked us out. So we did overall enjoy it, we will go back but they need to speed things up a bit and hopefully as they are open longer...service will get better. read more

Hello to my Yelp Family!!! The family visited The Turning Point today, Saturday, February 29th. Wow! This year is going fast and the third month of the year is already upon us! I checked out this breakfast, brunch and lunch spot yesterday. I decided to drive out to Media yesterday to find a Wawa because I needed gas and lo and behold what a WAWA find it was!! I love Wawa and this has to be a superWAWA. Plenty of gas pumps and plenty of parking around. I am so thrilled that the renovation for the most part has ended. It seemed like ages that this area was under construction. I recall the days when I used to drive around here and a huge sign was posted saying that all businesses were open. Good thing, because the stores looked closed to me. There are so many great businesses around, Miller Ale House, the other one is in Springfield on Baltimore Pike, Michael's, TJ Maxx, Petco, Sprint, AT&T, SuperCuts, Five Guys, an exercise spot, AMC Granite Run Movie Theater, McDonald's, etc. You will not get bored here!!! I consider The Turning Point quaint. What drew my attention was the fireplace. I could have curled up there on the floor all day! It was so nice and warm, and in my opinion was the best detail about the place. The dining area is small but it is roomy and cozy. The Turning Poing does a lot with a little!!!! Our server was Stephanie and she did not disappoint. Stephanie was attentive to our every need. Mom ordered three plain pancakes and pork sausage, bro ordered cornbread french toast and ham, I ordered cinnamon apple french toast and pork roll. Our beverages were ginger ale for mom, bro hot chocolate with whipped cream and I ordered cookies and cream hot chocolate. I made a reservation using the Yelp wait list and that truly is a smart idea! Thank God The Turning Point utilizes this option!! Our table was set for 1:49 pm and we arrived around 1:52 pm. We waited about 10 minutes and we were seated. A nice lady offered my mom her seat and then another couple offered their seats for all of us!! We are not movie stars, but we were treated like one!! It was great!! Ernest, the manager, announced our table was ready with my name, and then we were seated in a large booth. We had plenty of space for our belongings and there was plenty of space for the food on the table. I liked that they had a coat hanger near our table so we all hung up our coats and that was great because we had more space and didn't have to worry about space being utilized for coats! When our food was ready, we dove in and ate. Everything was great, so tasty!!! The only negative thing was bro ordered ham and he said it wasn't enough, so Stephanie brought him some pork roll. He was happy then. A gentleman named Richard G. came over and asked us about fundraising for some causes that they had lined up. I asked about donating to my fundraiser/gofundme, Krystique Personal Fitness, since they had a sign in the front saying that the Turning Point would donate to personal fundraisers. Richard G. suggested that I speak with Ernest about that. Ernest came over and was truly charming, friendly, conversational, professional and polite. Ernest provided the answers to all of our questions. I asked about the Perk Card and could I sign up and Ernest patiently obliged. I asked Stephanie about this and she added the cost of the Perk card to our check. If you have an Iphone, you can just click the Iphone link, but my phone is android so I had to use a different option. The cost of the card is $10.00 and Stephanie just added it to the check. When we visit another time, the $10.00 will be taken off because we will be ordering food and the $10.00 will be applied to the food order. Food / drinks are absolutely delicious and very affordable. Make sure before you go to put yourself on the wait list since it can get very busy (been here today for the first time, after being on the waitlist for 20 minutes we had another 15-20 minute wait once we arrived) but it's worth the wait. It might also take a little bit to get your food but again, absolutely worth it. Great atmosphere, will be back here for sure! read more

This place is a joke. No idea how to run a restaurant. We waited with 2 small kids for an hour (after being told the wait was 30 mins) only to find out that they never checked us in. New breakfast place in Media. Very good! Large selection of items on the menu, clean, and super cute on the inside! My husband had apple caramel cornbread French toast, and it looked amazing- he said it was good. I had an eggskillet that was decent. We went at 830am on Sunday and didn't have to wait, but by 9am the place was full. This is in the new shopping center where the Granite Run Mall used to be- had no idea this was here until I googled 'breakfast place in media' I suggest that the owners get their sign up on the giant shopping center sign so people know it's there- we would have gone sooner if we had known! There is also an outdoor seating area for when it's warmer out. I hope this place is dog friendly- we would love to bring our pup in warmer weather! read more

03/26/2022 I don't normally take the time to write reviews but I felt compelled to after my experience on Saturday. This was my second time here after trying this place back in November. My experience in November was not so pleasant. My wife and I waited over 20 minutes for our table to be greeted. After waiting 20 minutes our server finally came up to us and put our order in completely wrong. Every single item was missing something. I told myself that after this experience I would never be back. My wife convinced me to give it one more try. So we came in on Saturday March 26th and I can say my mind has been completely changed. Major kudos to our server Tara. She was extremely friendly and very knowledgable. Excellent service. She was constantly moving and had such a positive attitude. My wife and I absolutely loved her. Our order came out correctly, we were greeted promptly, and Tara made great recommendations. The Toasted Almond French was delicious. It was refreshing to go out to eat somewhere where it felt like our server wanted to do more than just take our order. She had us laughing from start to finish. Will most definitely be back!
