    Cool decor hiding the bathrooms!

I can't for the life of me understand why this place doesn't have ~5 stars- the smoked brisket was DIVINE with plenty of semi-rendered fat, my side of mashed potatoes was homemade and had the perfect amount of creaminess and salt, and my friend's green beans were fresh, crisp, and refreshing. Not to mention, our waitress was attentive, kind, and helpful in answering questions, and the aesthetic is creative, dimly lit, and rustic. There's no better way to put it, then: it's mad chill. :) My only recommendation for improvement would be to get sturdier high top tables/more comfortable chairs. Everything was so wobbly, like it was top heavy haha. I'm not going to take a star off for that though, because it is a "seat yourself" place and some low tables *were* available, we just wanted to be right next to the art sculpture.

Sterling Pig has great Porters. The other beer is ok but I'm not a fan of IPA or anything too Hoppy. The Wings are amazing too. The restrooms are pristine.

So the beer is good, not great but enjoyable. The pizza felt rushed and thrown together with not a lot of care. The service could have been better. Our waitress sat us outside like we asked but came back in total 3 times. Once to sit us, one for order and one for the check. I love beer and maybe I'll have to give it another shot, this time inside. The outside sitting is ok, but is right up against a Main Street.

    Brisket Sandwich

Went here a couple of weeks ago with my wife to give it a try. Our waiter was fast, attentive, and friendly (sorry, I forgot his name) I like the place. We had just come from another tavern that we walked out of. The other place only had a few people there, but it was extremely loud. Sterling Pig had a lot sound proofing in the ceiling, so it was quiet enough to have normal conversation. Maybe something other people don't care about, but I appreciate it. Started with a Saison beer that was really good. Not to hoppy, with nice clean drinkability. We started with the pretzel. Pretzel was hot and soft. Cheese sauce that came with it was not particularly flavorful. The biggest disappointment (and reason for 3 star) was the brisket sandwich. Two thick (1/2 inch or so) slabs of meat not really hot throughout and the fat was not particularly rendered. For a BBQ place, it was just not very good. If you just want some beer it seems a great place. For food, not so much.

Great brisket nachos and mussels, in addition to the beer! Always friendly service and very accommodating to families and dogs, especially when the weather is nice. They also donated a gift basket to the YMCA of eastern Delco for their Impact Night fundraiser!

It's been a bit since I've eaten at the Sterling Pig Media location and have enjoyed the food and libations in the past with no complaint. However, if you are going there for brisket these days, avoid this place like the plague (read on for details). I ordered the bbq brisket platter and was expecting thin ribbons of juicy lightly sauced bbq goodness. Instead, I am compelled to say that I just had --the --worst --shoe leather, ah I mean, bbq brisket-- ever. In fact I'm not really sure it was brisket....couldn't cut it with a knife and couldn't chew it with my teeth. The beans looked like soup and the cole slaw was yellow--ish. On the upside my husband devoured his brisket sandwich with no complaints (clearly not the same brisket). When I politely complained that my meal was inedible (and I really did try), the waiter was sympathetic so I've got no problem there. The kitchen, however is another story. How could they let meat so tough leave the kitchen...I mean they must have had a hard time cutting it and yet they sent it out. On the upside, the waitstaff were very friendly and competent, the Stateside pineapple seltzer was --ahmazing (highly recommend)--and they removed the cost of the brisket platter. -- at Sterling Pig Beer.

Stopped here for a work lunch and all had a great experience. A ton of tables and seats upstairs. Staff were all so friendly and kind! The waitress had extra hand warmers and gave some to us as we were leaving and heading back to the cold. We ordered an array of food. Nachos, brewhouse pretzel, fresh cut fries and sweet potato fries. Nachos tasted great but our only complaint was it lacked toppings. Majority of the chips had nothing on it, but when you did get a chip with toppings it tasted great! The waitress said adding pork to it is the best, so add that if you order this! Pretzel itself was delicious. Soft, salty and addicting. It came with two condiments, which I didn't love but the pretzel itself gets a 10/10. Fresh cut fries were so good. A bit soggy, which I love but it still had a nice crunch. So good! Sweet potato fries were also amazing and the condiments that came with it gets a solid 10/10 as well.

    Special Menu Item: Pico fries!!!

First time visiting Sterling Pig today! We sat at the bar and Brian, the bartender was extremely attentive and remembered our names and drink orders. My boyfriend tried the Michaux Mule which was the perfect mix between a mule and a cider. I tried a Media Mule and felt that they should swap the sour mix for real ginger beer. We tried a new special added by the new kitchen manager - brisket tacos which had guac and fresh corn salsa and it was arguably the best brisket my boyfriend and I have ever had. We ordered hand-cut fries and to our surprise the kitchen manager brought out the best pico jack cheese fries ever. We love trying new places in the Philly/Delco area and we're super happy we tried Sterling Pig today. We will definitely be back, especially learning that there will be new and exciting changes to the BBQ menu this upcoming week. Here's a pic of our pico fries! We scarfed down the tacos before I could even think about taking a picture.

I have heard about the Sterling Pig's beers for some time..so finally the day arrived and I was excited to enjoy myself..but that took a weird turn once I got the vibe that I was viewed as 'invisible'! I was there with a friend and we had outdoor seating..after waiting over 5 minutes and no one approached the table to take our order..I go inside to the bar to ask a few questions about the beers! I stood there over 5 minutes and the barmaid was engaged in a conversation with a few patrons who clearly were so important obviously than acknowledging me! She is not the only one at fault..the other staff who saw me standing there ..did and said NOTHING! Finally I flag down a waitress and she says someone will help me shortly...not true! I go back outside to the table and then someone arrives with this this BS excuse...I didn't know you all were at my station? Seriously! I didn't want to ruin the rest of the experience..so I let it go because we were hungry and we wanted to sample the beers! We should've left! We ordered the smoked wings and Pizza! Both sucked hard! The wings went cooked fully after expressing that we wanted them 'well done'. The pizza was subpar to say the least and what sealed the deal was the flavors lingered all night in a negative way! Now let's talk beer..I really thought at least one of the beers in the IPA Flight would have something memorable about them...they didn't..they were basic beers with no flavor profiles! The BIG GUNZ was a DIPA..it tasted like a lager! I rarely leave a 2 star review..but I think I am actually being generous after the AWFUL SERVICE!

Visiting from out of town and we had dinner here with a large group of friends. We had to wait for a table but the bar area was great! Beer was really good and they had a special one for which a portion went to benefit Ukraine! The food was awesome. We enjoyed everything we ordered - smoked wings, pretzel, nachos, burgers, bbq platter including the Mac and cheese, beans, pork, chicken and coleslaw. Only Thing we weren't crazy about was coleslaw but who cares lol The nacho platter is insanely huge! The waiter was also great for being busy. We will be back!

Our group of 4 went to Sterling Pig on a Saturday afternoon around 1 PM. We went upstairs to meet our friends who happened to arrive 15 minutes before us. We waited close to 10 minutes before our server came over, partly because there was only one server on the clock and almost every table was occupied. Although it wasn't the most timely service, the server was nice and accommodating. We ordered a few drinks to start. I can't remember my drink, but it was pumpkin flavored with a layer of cinnamon on the rim of the glass. It was so refreshing! For food, we ordered a burger, pulled pork, and a pizza. The burger was great and the fries were crispy. I didn't order the pulled pork, but I took a few bites and it was juicy and cooked perfectly. The "Pitmaster" pizza was a little flat and underwhelming, but the toppings were fresh! Overall, we had a decent time. It was on par with our expectations (OK), and I don't see any reason why I won't return for a bite to eat in the future!

After walking down State for about a block, we settled on 320 as a good place to stop to get something that would be tasty but also quick enough to get us in and out the door in enough time to be on our way but also provide a wide enough selection for the three of us to select something that we each wanted. Being fans of 320 Market in Swarthmore, I was used to this place when we went inside, although it is markedly different from the location that we usually go to. The space is a little bit more sparse and feels less like a market than the one in Swarthmore, but the staff is still nice, and the colors are bright, and the selections are still wide and vary across the spectrum of flavors enough to make everyone happy. I ordered pierogis at the counter as did my daughter, and my wife ordered spanakopita and then we were told to take a seat anywhere we liked. I do know that they obviously had to prepare everything fresh which is one reason that we like 320, but I also know, the spanakopita is coming from a much larger sheet and the pierogis only have to be fried and plated. For some reason things were taking an extremely long amount of time. The spanakopita came out relatively quick but was a little cold in the center. Still tasted delicious, but not ideal. However, the pierogis took forever. Not sure why because this was prime lunch time, around 11:30 and they weren't busy. Either way, when they did come out, they were played brilliantly, but I had to ask the wonderful guy at the counter to put them into containers so that my daughter and I could take them with us due to our fine constraints. He was more than happy to help and did his best to arrange them nicely in the containers, but for some reason the manager seemed to have a problem with the fact we ordered them to sit down and then asked to have them put into containers. He protested to some extent, albeit not directly to me, but when I looked in his direction alarmedly (which I'm not sure is even a word, lol) he simply stopped and went back to his other conversation). Even after our fifteen minute drive, the pierogis were superb and obviously made by hand from scratch. While I do like the other 320 Market location better and go there much more frequently just based on proximity to my home, this one was also good. I would go here again, and if you are in Media and need a good place for well-made delicious foods and interesting beer and wine that you won't find anywhere else, this is definitely your spot to go. There are many different choices of restaurants in Media to select from, but this is one place that is set up a bit differently, more like a "market" as described in its name. Go and check them out if you've never been, I bet there's something there that you'll enjoy!

The wings were packed with flavor and had a great kick, and the tofu sandwich was fresh, filling, and really well done. The service is quick and friendly, and there's a cool mix of offerings--plenty of fresh, made-to-order options, plus take-home meals if you're in a rush. The pizza smelled amazing as soon as we walked in, so that's definitely on our list to try next time. They also carry a smaller selection of fresh produce and grocery items, along with a bunch of unique snack choices you won't find just anywhere. Perfect place for a quick bite, a fun snack haul, or to grab something easy for later. We'll definitely be back!

I ordered the Satchmo, a buffalo chicken, Italian hoagie, ham hoagie, 4 chicken tenders and fries which came to a grand total of $85. Phew. This was my first time here, but I've heard the food and cheese steaks were great so I was ok with things at this point. I placed my order for pickup and was told it would be 20 minutes. I came in around the 20ish minute mark and waited for 25 more minutes. There was only 1 other person waiting with me. I did see 3-4 other people come in pickup and leave while I waited, but it wasn't busy by standards. While waiting is when I when I observed how unorganized and dis shoveled the staff were. The lady upfront was kind, attentive, and seemed to be running the show putting orders together. But, when she asked for help she didn't get any. She asked another staff member to help bag a specific sandwich for an order, several times, and it went in the guys ear and right out the other. I could also hear them scrambling in the back working on my order, and complaining about how many Italian hoagie orders came in right at the same time. Maybe they were behind, maybe they accidentally let mine go with a different order? This is all speculation but they were definitely overwhelmed and it shouldn't have taken that long for my order. The cheese steaks were good, and the Italian hoagie was very hearty! They do not skimp on meat, but the hoagie bread was so hard most of it was thrown away. I don't care for shredded gums. Overall, not a good first time experience. Minus a star for the price, minus a star for the delayed pickup time, and minus 1/2 for the rock hard Italian hoagie bread. The steaks were good but everything else outweighed the food quality.
