Visited the store twice but only tried the walnut baklava which was amazing. If I'm ever in the area again I will make a bee line for Turkish Delight for some walnut baklava. The pastry was golden brown and flaky with just enough sweetness from the honey and walnut crumble. Delicious. Service is excellent. People often bring flowers purchased in the market into restaurants here. The pollen and water leave marks on wooden tables so some restaurants post signs to not set the flowers on the tables. The owner offered a vase to a customer with flowers who was preparing to sit at a table. He didn't get the hint and refused twice but the woman he was with caught on and took the vase. The public market is a busy place and the flowers are sold right across the street so she probably sees this frequently. The owner was friendly and pleasant during the whole exchange and didn't seem annoyed at all. A very gracious lady. Tried this place an hour before closing. They were sold out of all their savory pastries but decided to try their chicken doner kebab, similar to a gyro. It was delicious!! The chicken doner kebab was awesome, but massive and there was no way I could eat it like a sandwich without making a huge mess. Aw this place is cute and we always pass by it when around pike place. We got 3 little pieces of Turkish delight per each flavor all for under $5. The flavors available listed from our favorite to least favorite were almond, lychee, peach, lemon, and strawberry. The almond had little pieces of almond slivers in it so GOOD! This is my favorite place to get lunch at Pike Place Market. It's always delicious. Tastes clean, fresh, and homemade. My husband says their hummus is, hands down, the absolute best he has ever had. If I'm doing that for him, I get some of their lamb stew for myself. The owners are super kind and considerate. Everyone who works at the Market knows them. One caution: this place is popular and the line moves slowly as they take care of each and every customer. The good: This is one of two shops in town that I have found that offer pistachio baklava. Really yummy. The lady who is usually behind the counter is chatty in a sweet sort of way and they will make you food however you want with a smile. No issue with subs. Food is good. The not good: They only take cash. The is 2018 and my kid will even take a card - Seriously my 17 year old has a Square account. Also, they are right across from the pike Place Market so crowds in the summer are thick and as rent is $$$ here so are their prices. The food is good though and if I am in the area, I will stop in for lunch, but not if I am in a hurry and I probably won't be driving there and paying for parking just for the baklava. read more

Tucked away at the end of Pike Place Market, this restaurant is a fun find for someone exploring the area! My coworker and I hopped over to the Market around 11:30AM to try and beat the lunch crowd.. but we were already too late! I went for the chicken doner kebab - a delicious wrap with chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, special house sauce and seasoning. And boy, do they stuff your wrap! Quick and easy: If you're looking for Turkish delights, maybe you should go to a place called Turkish Delight? Makes sense to me! So, categorically these aren't my favorite treats, but the team here at Turkish Delight does a great job at making them. They have a lot of flavors to choose from, and the price is right. Service didn't seem slow to me as I've read in other reviews, until you get that one person who has to spend 10 minutes deciding which flavors of jelly candy to buy. SO annoying, but not the shop's fault. Pro-tip: Yeah you can get a bunch of different flavors, but if you do, don't expect to remember what they are once you've ordered. They're very difficult to visually distinguish from one another, so it's pretty much luck of the draw when you're chowing down. I think if you like this place depends entirely on your opinion on the treat itself. They're a bit too sweet for me, but I'm a bitter old queen. If the line at Piroshky Piroshky is a bit daunting, walk down towards the end of the Pike's Peak Market strip of stores, there is this family run restaurant called Turkish Delight. We came around noon on a weekday so business was brisk. They also sell different varieties of borek (savory pastries), kebabs, baklava, coffee, lentil soup, and assorted Turkish lokum (jelly like desserts covered with powder sugar, some with nuts and fruit). The Turkish coffee is prepared over the stove, so you'll have to wait for them to prepare it, none of this instant stuff. I ordered the spinach borek which was a baked filo pastry filled with feta cheese, herbs and spinach for $7.75. It came out fresh from the oven so it was pipping hot. A friend got a piece of baklava and I took a small bite. Light crispy filo dough, filled with lots of pistachio nuts drowned in rose water and syrup. I know some people are huge fans, but personally, I found it extremely tooth aching sweet for my taste. read more

I was bitterly disappointed in my visit. I have read about this place and seen it on several T.V. programs. I was visiting from out of state and make a specific effort to come here. I'm Turkish and really really wanted to have some good Borek, I've never had any not made by myself or family, so I was super super excited. With great excitement and talking this place up to my friend all day we arrived early right at opening on a Friday...they were out of EVERYTHING. No Borek, no doner, no sweets, all they had was the lentil soup. It was a cold day so ok, why not. I asked the two women behind the empty counter very politely what dishes they had, I assume it was a mother and daughter, after ignoring me a bit they began speaking in Turkish thinking I didn't understand them. What I heard shocked me. They were having an argument and then started talking about myself and my friend in a very derogatory manner. I repeated myself louder and in my most polite and formal Turkish if I could have a cup of lentil soup to show my non-Turkish friend how awesome Turkish lentil soup is. They both stared at me and then rudely served it in a dirty to-go cup. Despite this I was really looking forward to the soup. Like I said, it was cold out and lentil soup is perfect to warm you up! What I got was disgusting. It was cold, gelatinous, lacked any fresh flavor and tasted old to the point of almost being rancid. I left the soup there, didn't let my friend try it and and went to her house and made the soup myself for her.... Huge disappointment in food and service. I travel to Seattle often for work, and to visit family....I will never return. read more
