Döner sandwich and chicken combo plate
    Arielle M.

TDLR: food and staff are a true delight ! Food is well balanced between meat, carbs, veggies, and sauce. Can't wait to go back to try the lamb & Turkish delight desserts ! Walked by this place one day and was drawn in by how good it smelled. First time visit, we got the döner kebab sandwich and the chicken combo plate (they ran out of the lamb), a cup of lentil soup, and a yogurt drink. Lentil soup was thick and slightly sour. Never had a lentil soup like it and it was delicious! A perfect appetizer to start off the meal. Yogurt drink was also slightly tangy and salty. Plate comes with rice topped with chicken, plus a side of salad with raw red onions, tomatoes, and hummus, all topped with yogurt sauce. Could mix all together and eat like a bowl OR eat each part separately. I also recommend buying an extra pita bread to enjoy the side salad and hummus in. There is some seating along the wall but not much. Probably fits about 3 groups of 4. Workers were mom and daughter and were some of the sweetest people I've ever met. You can tell they really care about their food and their customer service. Highly, highly recommend !

Looked like they were going thru some construction so there were only 2 booths towards the back available. We got the Turkish coffee and everything smelled so good. The mom and daughter were very welcoming and you could tell they served good food. They had a couple regulars come in including some firefighters so that speaks volume for being a good place to grab some food.

2 Wonderful, warm, women served us Lentil soup, Baklava, and Turkish coffee. All were SUPERB. Lentil soup was like straight from a farm feeling, the Baklava was sticky, gooey, and not too sweet. Turkish coffee with a tad added sugar was perfect. AND, even if none of the dishes were good, the 2 women working would make us go back to give them business. Just wonderful. We went 30 minutes before closing and next time we will go early enough to try the Lamb stew which sells out fast. I've past by this place a million times, I apologize for not coming in earlier. It will be a 98% stop in whenever walking Pike Place Market again.

This little treat blew my mind. It was flaky, soft, and had a slight crunch! You could really taste the pistachios and I mean that in the best of ways! The woman that worked there was extremely welcoming. The service was quick and efficient. The ambiance felt like a small café to get a quick bite and some coffee. I wish I had tasted the other dessert because if it was anything like this it would have blew my mind as well. Of course, this is off of pike place market so I was expecting mind blowing flavors and I got it. If you're passing through pike place definitely stop here just for this! It is seriously worth every flaky piece!

Wonderful food, Turkish delight, and coffee! The family that owns it is wonderful too! I got the lamb combo platter and it was tasty!

Not a bad place to have a Turkish coffee! They make it really sweet and strong, so be ready! The restaurant felt a little cramped, some of the empty tables were a bit dirty and appeared a little neglected. However, the coffee was good! I might try this place next time I'm in Seattle...hopefully they'll clean their tables by then!

Holy Moly this place is outstanding!!! My husband says 10 stars, if that's possible. This family run spot has everything- great food, great customer service, and a sense of community. It was refreshing to witness the friendly staff engage with everyone who came in. The service felt like you were at home. Even though they were clearly busy, they took the time to engage with everyone. The food delivered the same level of energy as the amazing family. Fresh and full of flavor, this was the best meal of our whole trip. So much so, we had to go back to thank them. I was skeptical of a place in such a tourist spot; however, the reviews convinced us to try it. We were not disappointed. I honestly can't recommend this place enough.

We love this place. The main reason we come to Seattle. So delicious! It is a simple "mom & pop" type shop with the BEST food. It is a hidden gem. Right near the end of Pike Market area across the street from the park. A MUST STOP!!!

Just like in its name this place was such a delight! Definitely recommend adding this place to your list if ever visiting pike place! The service was so nice and friendly. Semra is so heartwarming and welcoming as she makes conversation with every person while taking their order. I got the doner kabeb sandwich and it was full of flavor and super filling! Bonus points for being HALAL. It's so hard finding halal eats in pike place - this place will not disappoint! Seating is limited most people were standing and eating in the shop but great for a grab and go situation.

Does anyone know if this place offers gluten free items?

If you don't get the bread, then you'll probably be fine. It's a very old fashioned place so I don't even think the owners know what that is. Very tasty food though.

Every single dish was packed with unique flavor that I haven't experienced before. The homemade pistachio ice cream was rich yet not too sweet. Perfect way to end the meal. We were seated in what I can only describe as a garage extension with a long communal table straight out of a college cafeteria. Another family shared our table. Nobody asked us if that was okay. The food was average, and calling it that is being generous. The lamb kabob was the one bright spot. Everything else landed somewhere between forgettable and disappointing. Portions were small. Prices were not. Four people, four glasses of wine, no bottle. The bill came to $750. The servers were kind, but waits between courses were very long. Funny enough, the check arrived fast. Needless to say, we left disappointed. If you want an actual Turkish dining experience in Seattle, go to Ada's on Phinney Ridge. so much better food, better atmosphere for much less. It is not close. Ada's wins by a mile. Hamdi had the opportunity to be something special. It missed. For $750, you deserve a lot more than a garage and a small plate.

We did get service, but it was extremely minimal. They didnt check on us at all, and we sat around for quite awhile waiting for someone to come by to get us our bill/clear the table. It definitely felt like we were being segregated against, as we were the only East Asian party there. :c We did really enjoy the food. Flavors were on point.
