I sent over a message and received a reply that they would be out on Wednesday at 9 to take a look. After arriving 40 minutes late they took a look said he would get back to me with a quote later that day and that we could schedule it as soon as the following Thursday. After 5 days and multiple follows up I finally got a quote. I immediately responded and said let's schedule this. After waiting another 24 hours I got a response saying that Saturday could be the install day. For personal reasons Saturday wouldn't work. It's now been 3 days and still haven't recieved a response. I ended up using a different company for the project, a company that showed up on time, gave me a fair quote within a reasonable time frame, and made scheduling easy. Quality of work from at least 4 years ago was excellent. After this experience I'm not sure if I would consider them or refer them for another install or repair.

We began by ripping out existing plants, pavers, brown gravel, and artificial turf for both a putting green and a general use area. We started by building a pool (a cheap plug for Dolphin Pools who did an amazing job). After the pool was completed, the second half of the project was ready to begin. This is where Colorworks stepped up to the plate. I could not begin this without mentioning one of the owners, "Jon Hammel". Colorworks Landscape Design, Inc. received rave reviews on Google and Yelp, so we reached out and were promptly scheduled for a complimentary estimate. Upon Jon's arrival, I could sense his excitement and creativity as he envisioned transforming our dream backyard into the upgraded space we desired. Although we had a plan in place, Jon skillfully incorporated his unique ideas, resulting in a comprehensive rendering of the project. We were immediately convinced that Colorworks was the ideal choice for our project. What truly set Jon apart was his unwavering honesty and thoughtful approach to refining our existing plan, ensuring that it reached its full potential. I want to clearly state that there are many stages to such a massive project. There are always going to be delays, and we had a few. Additional parts needed to be ordered, and of course, the weather did not always agree (lots of rain). Since our backyard is not the largest, every inch of the project required attention, and Jon fully comprehended that. The project included 3 large retaining walls, 164 Sq ft. of pearlescent travertine, 18 Indian laurel ficus trees with 6 tons of topsoil, 450 sq ft. of Daytona 80 0z turf, 4 stoned columns on a pergola, a wood accent backdrop for pots, and white rocks. This also included taping into existing irrigation drip, electrical lines, and reusing leftover pavers in other areas. Jon (along with our ideas) was the brains of the project, but Cesar Aldama is the contractor who brought it all together. Cesar, along with Ginato, is an excellent team. They showed up on time and worked tirelessly each day, and consistently cleaned up before they left. They always treated our home with respect, and we couldn't help but notice. Cesar is an expert in construction projects and possesses extensive knowledge in the field. My wife, being meticulous and OCD, wanted perfection in the job. Cesar meticulously coordinated with us on every aspect of the project, providing valuable advice on what could and couldn't be done. He is truly an artist, and we couldn't thank him and Ginato enough. The straightforward truth is that Colorworks fulfilled their promise! I can't forget to mention other members of the team that did amazing work: Jeff (owner), Mark, Manny (Turf installer and his awesome crew). Colorworks Landscape Design, Inc. is an exceptional choice, and we wholeheartedly recommend it. It's one of the easiest 5-star reviews I've ever written. Gary and Terra!

Israel led the crew and checked in with me throughout -- he actually spotted a sprinkler leak before any work started. They leveled the soil first, so the grade came out smooth and even. Two things stood out. They left us a spare patch of turf in case we ever need to repair a section. And the cleanup was immaculate -- you genuinely could not tell there'd been a crew tearing up the yard that morning. Communication was the best part. Email, text, phone, in person -- always knew what was happening and when. No complaints at all.

First and foremost, I absolutely loved my natural grass! I took immense pride in maintaining my lawn and even engaged in a friendly competition with my neighbor for the title of "best lawn" twice a year--once in winter and once in summer. However, due to the escalating water costs and the alarming drought we've been experiencing in Arizona, I've been researching artificial turf for the past year. After much deliberation, I finally made the difficult decision to at least obtain a quote for artificial turf. I reached out to Turf Monsters for a consultation, and promptly arrived Steve, a friendly and approachable individual who visited my home to provide me with a complimentary quote and a variety of turf options to consider. Steve was incredibly informative and offered my wife and me a no-pressure consultation, allowing us to select package options for an overall installed price presented on a user-friendly electronic proposal. We decided to go with a rye winter turf that closely resembled the appearance of our best winter natural grass. After confirming our decision with Steve, we were scheduled for installation approximately 10 days later, and to our delight, the turf was installed in just one day! We couldn't be happier with the outcome. I'm still looking for ways to fill my free weekend time that I used to spend meticulously caring for our lawn. An absolutely amazing job! After loads of research, I finally made the decision to put in artificial turf. I interviewed six companies. All were very good at coming out and giving me bids in a very prompt and professional manner. The very last company, Turf Monsters AZ checked all the boxes. The sales person, Jeff, was very professional , courteous and understood what I was looking for in value. I decided on Everglade fescue pro, ani ncredible product by TigerTurf. His quote was prompt and quite competitive. He called me the next day to ask me if I had any questions or concerns. He was not pushy or aggressive but was in the only one to follow up the very next day following the bid, which I certainly appreciated. The entire front office at Turf Monsters, AZ, the sales person, and the owner, Mike , were engaged in this project. Mike's enthusiasm and his understanding of my project was quite evident. All of the phone calls were very prompt and pleasant. Approximately 10 days later, the installation team arrived at 6:15 AM. What an effort! There were six men here for two very full days. Such hard workers! The teamwork was incredible. The installation was efficient and above all, meticulous. The finished product far exceeded my expectations in improving my properties appearance. I would recommend without reservation, Turf Monsters AZ. Jeff was readily available throughout the bidding process and the installation. He made sure that I would be thrilled with the results. I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Turf Monsters warrants one. From the beginning, their team appeared more focused on finishing quickly than on doing the job correctly. Part of their responsibility before installing the turf was to properly prepare the yard, which included the removal of plants, roots, and vegetation, to ensure a smooth, stable surface. This preparation alone cost an additional $1,500. Unfortunately, it's clear that this critical step was not completed with care. Less than six months after installation, a root from a supposedly "removed" plant began pushing up through the turf. This completely undermines the purpose of investing in artificial grass. I reached out to the company expecting a prompt and professional resolution to what was clearly a preparation issue. Instead, I was met with two months of unresponsiveness, followed by an unreasonable $900 quote to fix their mistake, along with several weak excuses, and no meaningful action. A reputable company would have acknowledged and corrected the issue without hesitation. Instead, I was left with damaged turf, a tripping hazard, and the frustration of dealing with a business that refuses to stand behind its work. If you value quality, accountability, and long-term satisfaction, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. The turf may look fine at first, but poor preparation and a lack of customer service will end up costing you far more in time, money, and frustration. I wish I could give zero stars. read more

In the past, we've had a terrible and disappointing experience with several contractors we hired. We weren't really looking forward to going through another project, but wanted our yard refreshed. We wanted a few large plants removed, an old brick border replaced and new artificial turf to replace the natural grass. Fortunately, our experience with Turf Monsters has been a very pleasant surprise. Ryan was a pleasure to work with from the minute he arrived. He's a pro. He was always prompt and courteous. He really knows his stuff and made several suggestions that certainly saved us from disappointing ourselves with the project results. Everything went extremely smoothly. I wanted to transform my backyard with its 55 x 22 feet grassy area into a pitch and putt golf course. The slope of the lawn dropped 9" from back to front with a low point in the middle which turned into a lake when it rained. My solution was to design my course with the low area dug out deeper and partially filled with gravel to look like a dry creek bed. Placing a 4 hole putting green on one end of the yard with higher turf to separate it from a 5 hole green at the other end allowed a player to pitch and putt back and forth for a 9 hole game. Turf Monsters pulled off the plan perfectly. Seeing it completed, my wife said, "It looks like someone dropped a park into our backyard." Zach, Kevin and the rest of the crew are a dependable group of artistic perfectionists who finished my backyard + front yard + removal of an old leaky sprinkler system + putting in new water lines to our trees and shrubs + removal of 10 old ratty looking shrubs + installing new yard lighting all in FOUR DAYS! We are enjoying our newly renovated back yard golf greens via Turf Monsters and wanted to send our heartfelt compliments for a job well done. We were so happy to get an immediate quote at the time of initial consult. We did shop other contractors and Turf Monsters had an A+ BBB rating, great reviews, a ROC license, and quoted a reasonable price. Their turf product is "Made in USA", of non- toxic, lead free, nylon yarn (that reduces heat retention). So we feel like we received a good product at a good price, and installed by an awesome crew of 5. The entire crew worked incredibly hard removing existing Bermuda grass, and hauling in many, many tons of underlay material, tamping and shaping the course exactly to our desires. It was obvious the crew was a seasoned group, all knowing the many steps to laying turf correctly, especially important for a golf green! I still can't believe how beautiful my yard looks thanks to Turf Monsters! I put my backyard remodel on hold for months feeling so defeated from high estimates and lack of partnership from other landscape companies. One call to Turf Monsters and I knew this company was something special. Ryan managed my project from start to finish, helping bring my vision to life beyond what I imagined. Ryan did a great job answering all my questions, working around my schedule and organizing the crew and materials for the job. The project included demo of my old yard, a new modern layout with pavers, turf and new rock. They were even able to use my existing landscape lights, fitting them into the new layout. Luis and his crew were at my house by 7am every morning working diligently on my yard. I selected Turf Monsters based on several Yelp reviews. When i called the Office for a quote they sent somebody quickly, and provided a quote that i felt was a great value. Due to their schedule, i was not able to get the job done immediately, but Turf Monsters completed the job today and it has completely transformed my yard. It was larger back yard with all rock. The company came in providing color to the yard. The company worked well with my budget, and was able to meet all of my backyard needs. It now has become a place where kids are going to want to hang out, play soccer or toss the football, and can even turn it into movie night sometime. Certainly something that i could not do with the rocks that were in place when i bought the house originally. I had one very minor complaint with the work, but Ryan has volunteered to come back on his own time to take care of that concern. Overall, we are very happy with the project. read more

Turf Monsters installed a paver border around the driveway and front entrance side walk. They also created a paver patio in back of house adjacent to existing patio and installed a large turf area with a paver border. It all looks fantastic and I have received several compliments on how great it looks. The company was responsive and took in my ideas and created the look I wanted. The project manager Anthony was very helpful. Gave me a fair, straight forward estimate for the work and was involved throughout the project. The installer Javier is a true craftsman. He worked his butt off getting the job done correctly, He would explain what he was doing when I asked and did many little extra things I requested and did a few things above and beyond what I asked for. Turf Monsters knocked it out of the park! We hired Turf Monsters for a unique project at Mountain Ridge High School for our Track and Field program, and they made our vision come to life. This wasn't a standard install -- we had specific ideas, and Turf Monsters listened and delivered exactly what we had in mind. Communication was excellent throughout. They showed up exactly when they said they would and got everything done quickly without cutting corners. Ryan my rep at Turf Monsters came out to my home and explained everything upfront that they would do for my backyard to make it inviting. My wife and I wanted a pergola for the side patio along with turf at the base so we can entertain friends on the weekend. The white Pergola came out gorgeous and the installers did a great job. The other crew laid all new turf throughout backyard for our Goldendoodles that love to run. They added nice limestone on the back patio and back yard lit up at night with the column ficus really stand out. They set the expectation upfront when they would get started and Ryan communicated by phone/text for all follow up. The project was delayed multiple times, measurements were done wrong, and the rock area was left unleveled. What made the experience worse was the communication throughout the process. When an issue came up regarding the color of the pavers that was recommended by our sales representative, he was unwilling to take accountability or work with us toward a reasonable solution. After pointing out all the issues, he told us he would contact his manager to see if they could provide a discount since the incorrect color of pavers had already been delivered and partially installed. After days of back-and-forth, he later informed us that they would not be pursuing that option after all. The inconsistency and lack of follow-through were very disappointing. James the sales agent became increasingly hostile and unprofessional. Instead of feeling like our concerns were being heard and addressed, we felt blamed for issues that should have been handled collaboratively. To their credit, the installation crew worked hard and completed much of the physical labor well. However their customer service and accountability was horrible. I do not recommend Always Green Turf.
