I was very happy with the job they did for us. Our yard was just dirt and in need of landscaping in both the front and back. It was a big job, and with our budget, we did not expect to be able to get the entire thing completed at one time. We had a putting green built, artificial lawn, pavers and rock added to our yard. Their estimate was comparable to the other 3 that I got, but they offered financing, so I was able to get everything I wanted all at once. Steve came out promptly for an estimate. They were out in less than 2 weeks to do the job and surprisingly, had it done in 2 days. The crew cleaned up after themselves, which is not always the case with some other jobs that I have had done by other companies. The yard looks fantastic now and we love our putting green. read more

The turf that was recommended is the worst ever!! We have one dachshund. It is very difficult to keep the urine odor at bay. I've tried everything, even their product... nope!! Nothing works other than hosing it down every day! It would have been less money for real grass :( We also had pavers installed but was out of town when they came to install and totally laid the wrong pattern!!! They offered to come back, tear it all up and redo at their cost... we declined because we had a mess for a long time and didn't want the mess and or delays again. Steve was our sales rep. Fantastic. We had initially worked with Steve Eckloff back in February, but the pandemic had us hold off the purchase. When we picked this back up in September, Steve was very patient with what was a project that kept changing on him with varying requests for different layouts and plans. He was always prompt with advice and quotations. Onto the install - their crew were phenomenal. We decided to go with their Coronado product, and had a sizeable area of concrete that needed demolition and removal. It took their team 2 days to remove the concrete and install the turf - they started at 6am each day. Not only was their workmanship superb, but their cleanliness and approach to their work was equally impressive. Overall, we are delighted. We wanted to replace existing turf (putting green) with something larger and far more dog and human friendly. Called on 5 turf companies for advice and bids. Synscapes was the second lowest bidder, but won the bid anyway because of the incredible turf options - no other vendor had the 100 face weight option, and the level of customer relations. Steve Eckloff was wonderful as an advisor. Install was a quick three days after order. The install crew - Miguel, Salvador, and Tony - were beyond amazing. True, creative artists that obviously care about their craft; meticulous attention to detail. Our dogs, two labradors, took to the new turf immediately. They *love* it. So do we. Very poor experience working with this company. You can get equally quality turf at a similar price point elsewhere but with much better service. We recently purchased a new home and had SYNScapes do our backyard. They were quick, but the results show why they were quick. They completely ruined the grade in the yard that would allow for good water flow. It was originally designed to have excess water flow out the side and towards the street but when they laid the base they eliminated the grade and water will now pool up in certain areas. Plus they didn't level the base throughout and it's lumpy in areas. They also didn't allow for water flow out of the yard. I asked specifically about this twice to make sure the pavers wouldn't block water flow and was assured it wouldn't. Had the builders inspect it and they confirmed it would block flow and a French drain should have been installed. The paver job was poorly done and doesn't line up along the edges, and they use a cheap sand. They should have used a polymeric sand or at least sealed it. After a couple weeks the sand is halfway gone. They also damaged the concrete patio, chipping it in places. They claimed it wasn't them, but it's a new build and they are literally the only ones we've allowed in our yard. When I reached out to have these items addressed I was ignored and never received a response. They also charged the full price despite saying that they would charge half up front and the rest after a satisfactory job. Needless to say, in a new build community of some hundreds of houses I'm steering my new neighbors clear of this place to avoid the headache. I would caution you to do the same. read more

The grass looks very good and the installation went well. One disturbing occurrence happened when one of the workers decided to urinate against the fence in our front yard. Steve was our salesman and did nothing for our concerns and decided to argue and over talk every time I would express my concerns. I would not recommend Steve to anyone due to the lack of concern he had for my concerns. On one day I noticed a dump truck on the street in front of my house, when I went out to question, they were getting ready to drop a pile of sand for our job, I refused it and sent them away. I was never notified prior that they had scheduled my job to be done the next day. Never did I get a call to schedule my job, all I ever got was the salesman calling and telling me that I was scheduled the next day. I don't understand why they wouldn't allow me to participate with scheduling my appointment. read more
