I go here quite frequently for lunch. The sandwiches are good, not too pricey, and close enough to UCR for a quick to-go order. You don't walk the sandwich maker through your order like at a usual sub shop. You order it, toppings and all, they make it. Less time wasted on people who can't decide what veggies they want. They have a large menu with a lot of sandwiches/categories. They also do rice bowls but I've never tried them. They keep it simple and dice up the onions, pickles, tomatoes. If you order avocado, its mashed up and spread on (and seasoned pretty well too). Pepperoncinis are just thrown in your sandwich whole. This is definitely a no frills kinda place. But the food is fresh and yummy! Although this place can be pretty busy, the service is very efficient and the orders are ready within about 5 minutes. On entering the establishment I was more impressed by the outside presentation than that of the interior. However, I continued on by asking my typical questions such as "what are your popular items". After some deliberation I decided on the 12" turkey, avocado, and bacon with the works. Once again I was disappointed when I spotted a microwave in the kitchen that they claim is used for heating sandwiches, the meatballs for sandwiches, and teriyaki bowls. Continuing forward I had to skip two tables that had yet to be bussed and find a clean booth down the aisle. The sandwich was presented in an appealing wax paper wrap. Like others have said, parking sucks during lunch hour. The carpet is gross and nasty, the decor is tacky and the place just looks semi clean. The bread is usually kind of stale and chewy. Once in a while it is fresh but not too often. Maybe I should have found out when they buy their bread and eat close to that day but I will never eat there again. The chicken in the chicken teriyaki bowl has too much gristle in it sometimes. All of the staff are friendly except for the owner's son Mark who seems to have an attitude or thinks he's better than the customers coming in to the establishment. Placed my order for sanwiches and all 3 were wrong. Talked to the owner who is Mark and he was really rude, said he would replace them. Went back today and got the same sandwiches and 1 was wrong again. Went back 10 minutes later and he gave major attitude, he remade it again. Then some AMR medics were in there and he told one his sandwich was ready the guy repeated the order to the owner and owner yessed him and said yeah that was his sandwich. Well it wasn't, no big surprise he was really rude to AMR medic. Sandwich was tasty but I will not be going back. The owner needs an attitude check majorly. The girls are nice but he is something. This place is probably one of the top sandwich establishments. This restaurant really lives up to its name. Your tummy will be stuffed. From the outside you would think it was an office and it is very easy to miss. This will definitely put Subway to shame. They have a huge variety of subs and something for everyone. Love this place. A buddy of mine told me about it earlier this week and we went there today for lunch. The service was incredible, and the atmosphere was great. The only thing I dislike about this place is the fact that they're open weird hours and only really cater to the business offices around them. However the food is great and they have speedy service. I usually go to My Hero, but I've been wanting to try this place. This place has an extensive list of specialty sandwiches, and is probably great if you love to branch out or you love hot sandwiches. I enjoy my classic turkey-and-cheese, though, and I was just pretty underwhelmed with what I was served. The bread is delicious, the other ingredients fresh but there was something missing and it was a little bland. I love My Hero's combo of mayo and Italian dressing, I wish the sandwich from here came with some sort of dressing or even some seasonings, then it would probably edge out My Hero. This place is hidden in a tiny little business complex and parking can be a bitch but it is so worth it!!! In the area for work and found good reviews on the place. The reviews were right. Got the weekly special that was turkey and avacado on a roll. The sandwich did not disappoint and inside the sandwich had chopped up onions, tomatoes and seemed to be a dill pickle like with seasoning on it. Made the sandwich complete. Also got the macaroni salad on the side. I was debating between macaroni or potato salad and ended up getting macaroni salad. The macaroni was ok, wished I would of tried potato salad. Overall good place and would def come again. Got here before the lunch crowd where when I was leaving it started to get busy. It's located in a business park type area so can be misleading and parking seems limited so try coming on a off time. read more
