I want to give a huge shout out to this toy store, and the folks who work there for an exceptional customer experience. On Thursday I was flying back from Phoenix, Arizona. The Uber driver pulled a little too hard on the handle of my carry on and this dislodged it and broke the handle. I wasn't happy. I purchased all my Tumi accessories from this location due to previous service from Wendy and the team. I called them explaining what it happened. I spoke to a lady called Eileen. Eileen asked me to send her some details on the bag with some photos and the barcode to the bottom. She called me back and said they had the handle part at the store. I let her know I was still in Phoenix and flying back to LA and I wouldn't get there till after 6 o'clock. Once I arrived I made my way to the Americana. I was greeted by Diana and Ren. They knew I was coming and they had the part ready. Diana did a great job in replacing the part while Ren were looking at new updates to the Tumi collection. I had a great time at the store and the customer service was outstanding. This is the first time I've had damage however given this experience and how quickly the team were able to get me back on my way, I now know why Tumi is a great brand. I wanted to give a shout out to this wonderful team, Wendy wasn't there, but this just goes to show how she's built a great team and culture at the store to ensure the Customer Services is always at the Centrepoint. Preparing for a big trip we realized we needed another piece of luggage. Nothing better than Tumi, so off we went to the Glendale store. Upon arrival we were greeted by Eileen, she was welcoming, so very helpful and friendly. One thing we enjoy is getting our luggage monogrammed and on this day the machine wasn't working. Eileen suggested we can come back to pick up the luggage when the machine was fixed and that's what we did. She called us in a few short hours and said our luggage was ready for pick up. We arrived to the valet area and she brought it out to our car. That's true customer service and we truly appreciated all her time and effort. Eileen set a great example for the company and it's another reason we will return time after time. They say you get what you pay for, and here at Tumi, you will get the best! read more

Had a great experience shopping here for my new luggage. The ladies were very pleasant and helped me decide which look and style bags best suit my personality. I have a bit of a sporty and casual flair to me but am girly and well. Was going between aluminum and tegris material. Eileen is amazing you all! I came in at 10AM on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 because my Tumi 19 degree aluminum Extended Trip Packing case would not open. I knew I put in the right combination and even tried the default one many times, to no avail. Our trip is this night so I needed the suitcase open. Especially since it had my packing cubes and scale inside. Eileen maintained her cool and tried every number from 1-999. She even tried the default combo, and while it also didn't work at first, it worked after she had tried all 1000 digits! She is so amazing to have the patience to do that for me. All with a pleasant attitude. And she took down my phone number to keep me updated so I could walk around Americana. When she finally got my suitcase open, she was so genuinely pleased. AMAZING SERVICE! Wendy, the store manager is also very nice and knowledgeable. She helped me decide which backpack to get for my trip. You all, this Tumi location is the best! read more

Unfortunatley $100 for repair to fix the handle that broke. After so many cheap luggage products that really just wore out. They did not break. Tumi breaks, that's what expensive things do. Oh well. now I know. Will not buy this again. read more

Ok so I was reading through the reviews before I decided to post my own. It seems like overall the customer service is good except when it comes to returns and exchanges. It is the most difficult, complicated, bizarre, lengthy process. I spent $700, which I paid cash, for a luggage. When I went to exchange it they told me they callus not give me my money back and that they would mail me a check that would take 14 days. Mind you, they gladly accepted my cash, of course, the day I bought the luggage. The 14 days passed and I did not receive a check. I called the store and they said they would follow up, and told me to continue to wait. More time passed until they finally decided to put a stop check request, issue a new one, and wait for it to come in the mail. Mind you once they put a stop on the check they claim to have mailed out, there is a five day process for the bank to be able to cancel that check. I am now a month and a half into my return and still have not received my refund. Let's see how long this drags on. Long story short, be sure that what you buy is actually what you want because good luck trying to return it and getting a refund! read more

Attended the Art of Packing at Tumi. What a great store. I've stopped in a few times before, a red leather briefcase caught my fancy. Admired the beautiful merchandise, so definitely wanted to get some traveling tips, see what might be on sale. Lovely party, lovely gathering. I didn't have a drop of champagne, and wished I could buy a whole new luggage set. Extra light weight. Lots of cool features. Everything looks gorgeous. High quality. Ever since I started shopping at this Tumi, I have made it my one and only location. The staff there are amazing and Wendy always knows what I like/want and notifies me when something comes in. I work so much that I don't have time to shop and having Wendy there to pair me with my favorites, saves me time and energy. I walk out with my favorite buys and feel confident with my Tumi items. I'm so glad that they opened up post quarantine and I'm able to physically shop again. I do not like shopping online. The Americana Tumi is the best Tumi store in LA, in my opinion. I've always liked Tumi bags. They have been durable and practical investments throughout the years. I needed a new bag for business and as a practical carrier of my files and devices. Marita has been very helpful and kind in showing me the bags available and helping me decide which bag was the best fit for me. She was very practical in her demonstration when I told her how I used my bags and what stuff I carry around in my daily movements and in traveling. Thank you so much; Marita! Fantastic customer service. My only quip was that I called in beforehand to see if two of my pieces could be monogrammed and the woman mistakenly told me they could. I brought in four pieces to get monogrammed, but only one could be monogrammed onsite. The other had to be sent off to the Georgia factory, so hopefully, in the next 3 months, I get my luggage back. I also picked up something to keep the inside of the luggage fresh smelling and an outside cleaner. Great customer service for some amazing luggage. read more

I had bought a tumi shoulder bag but the store where i had bought does not provide the monogram service so I took the bag to the Americana at Brand in Glendale. We came in here just trying to get an idea for each other for gifts. We left with several pieces, because of the service and quality of product. The staff was patient with us and went to great lengths to help us understand our choices. They have great product knowledge. They really understand the ins and out of it. The staff here is amazing. I brought my husband's suitcase in to ask about a repair. The salesperson went over all the details and took the bag, informing me that it had to be sent out to another location. Once I got home, my husband told me he could not wait for the bag to come back because he had a business trip coming up. Tumi sends the repairs down to Georgia and it can take a while to fix and return. I called the store to ask them to cancel and went in to pick up the bag. The manager gave me the option of a free loaner bag (brand new and beautiful) but decided to take it upon herself to try and repair the zipper. She and another young saleswoman then spent at least 20 minutes working on this bag. Using tweezers and whatever other small tools they could scrounge up from the stock room, they actually fixed it! I was so impressed by their sincere desire to help me and to not inconvenience my husband that they now have loyal customers for life. read more

Having hesitated on the price, she gently reminded me that if I return in just a few days, they will be offering a Friends & Family 20% discount. Poor return and sales support. Tried to return and exchange an online order. In Chicago they would help you, offer services and incentives in order to get your business. I have purchased four tumi bags and purses for myself and my significant other and this by far was the worst customer service I've experienced at any of the stores. This Tumi store is great! The customer service is top notch and Jan really knows her stuff. Plus, the other salespeople are the best which is why I stick with this store. Some months ago I bought a small, Tumi backpack in this store, and now needed a carry-on bag to match, but one with wheels. The problem was that for my upcoming overseas trip, I'll be checking in two, wheeled suitcases and didn't want to wheel a regular carry-on bag along with the two wheeled suitcases although I've done it before. But, it's not easy with three wheeled bags and two arms. LOL! Jan recommended the Super Leger International wheeled carry-on suitcase. I ended up getting one that matched my backpack (cranberry-red nylon fabric) and that wheeled carry-on suitcase fits perfectly on top of my suitcase by another luggage maker. Tumi designed it so that there are handles both in the horizontal and vertical positions. So, when I turn it in the horizontal position, I can place it on top of my suitcase, grab Tumi's flexible handle, and off I go! That way I can have a wheeled carry-on after having checked my two wheeled suitcases. Fabulous! read more

Toni was extremely helpful. She showed me several portfolios and knew their features well. I was amazed at the level of detail and familiarity she had with each item, down to the price, even before checking the tag. She told me she watches videos about each product. Wow, just like the NFL, I said, and she affirmed - this is clearly a really modern way of doing business. Because if her acumen, I placed an item on hold, which she reserved for me. After comparison-shopping, and having a chat with Concierge about best deals at the Americana, I returned for the item, but had questions whether the portfolio holds regular Staples notepads, not just the Tumi type. And lo and behold, she had a letter-sized notepad from Staples to show me it did. Hmmm. Did she know I was about to ask to anticipate response? Bought a backpack from here a few months ago from Cecilio (great guy)! I actually had an issue with the monogram coming off of the backpack, which I had initially taken to the Tumi store in South Coast Plaza (they did not do anything to help and handed back the backpack not caring). Cecilio, despite not having seen the issue before, completely took care of me and fixed the monogram labeling that was coming off my backpack. This review is solely based on my great in-store customer service experience with Marita. I was contemplating between two leather backpacks I saw online so went to the store to see them in person. Marita was the only sales associate in the store, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. She was so helpful and very easy to talk to. She took the bags down from the shelf for me so I could take a closer look. She even asked me a few questions about my needs to better help me differentiate between the two bags I was looking at. She encouraged me to try them on and to take my time looking at them so I never felt rushed or pressured to buy anything. She also went above and beyond trying to find something in the store to simulate my laptop and belongings so I could see the backpacks with items in them and not just the puffy filling that's normally inside them since it really changes the look of the backpack. With Marita's help, I was able to decide between the two backpacks. She was such a nice sales associate that I had to give her a shout out! read more
