I recently had dinner at a this Mexican restaurant that absolutely exceeded my expectations. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The decor was vibrant without feeling over-the-top, beautiful hanging lanterns that gave the whole space a cozy, authentic feel. It felt like stepping into a lively cantina, but with a modern, polished touch, but more classy. The service was just as impressive as the setting. The staff greeted us with genuine smiles and made us feel welcome right away. Our server was attentive without hovering, quick with recommendations, and clearly passionate about the menu. The food itself was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care--from the perfectly seasoned tacos to the rich, house-made salsas. Every bite tasted authentic and thoughtfully prepared. If you're looking for a place with fantastic Mexican cuisine, standout service, and a fun, stylish atmosphere, this spot is a must-visit. I'll definitely be coming back to try more dishes.

First time trying cochinita pibil, pretty good

The decor is what brought us in. We were looking for something that was centralized for our family that was coming from all different directions. I found this on yelp and loved the decor pics. The fajitas were super good, our favorite. We can't compare the cochinita pibil as it was our first time trying but we thought it was pretty good. I also tried the sopa azteca but it was so spicy for me. Appetizer tacos were super yummy! Overall, we had a great time and the service was great! We went on a Friday night and were seated right away.

3.5/5 stars. Plenty of parking sharing with the motel next door. They didn't have air conditioning so it was slightly warm inside. It was pretty quiet inside on a weekday for dinner but cute decor overall. They bring over complimentary chips and salsa. We ordered the Birria and the chicken mole. Overall flavors are ok and portions are good for the price. It was one hard working waiter helping all.

We came here for brunch on Valentines Day and enjoyed ourselves. The food was pretty good, and the decor/ambiance was definitely a nice modern feel. Next time, I'd plan on coming in the evening to see how the restaurant livens up a bit! Staff was kind and attentive. (Pepsi products - something to note!)

Wow! I've never been to Tulum, Mexico but I'm pretty sure the ambiance at this restaurant embodies the tasty foodie aspect and accommodating atmosphere. They even have karaoke Friday & Saturday nights in their larger back room! The Spanish aunties & uncles were crooning classic rock tunes, according to my friend. Dance party included =) Jinneth was our lovely waitress and she treated us like family. She was friendly and so genuine. She noticed my friend's phone battery had died and she offered to charge it. Drinks: *White Sangria *Strawberry Margarita *Strawberry Mexican Mule Eats: *Complimentary Chips & two different salsa: rojo y aguacate (avocado) caliente *Choriqueso-- chorizo queso dip with amazing flour tortillas! *Fajita Mar y Tierra *Lobster Enchiladas *Cheese Chile Relleno *Asada Tacos I've been relearning Spanish via Duolingo and Jinneth must've thought I spoke fluently after ordering the fajitas lol! She asked how I wanted the steak cooked. Medium well for me and the grilled trio of chicken, steak, and shrimp comes with fluffy arroz, frijoles, y tortillas de maiz (rice, beans, corn tortillas). So much yum! There's cream sauce under the shrimp. Plump shrimp with just the tail shell on, easy to eat. Choriqueso was so good hot with the yummiest flour tortillas! Seemed housemade and had the perfect chew. My friend was so excited to get the chile relleno and luckily got the last order of the night! Drinks were sweet and refreshing. I'll have to get a mule or mojito next time. Everything looked absolutely amazing and tasted even better! Beautiful ambiance with warm mood lighting and Boheme-style wicker lamps. The tv monitor above the front entrance rotates between vibrant visuals of the Mexican ocean. So serene and relaxing. Take a look out the window for nightly firework views from Disneyland!

This is a romantic, date-night hidden gem. The service here is absolutely wonderful, the food is amazing, and the vibe truly takes you out of reality. I loved everything about this place 10/10 I would definitely come back.

Came here for a lunch meeting and was I amazed at the quality of the food. Definitely worth a nice meal, if it wasn't work hours, I would have definitely gotten a drink as the table next to me had some declisious looking drinks. I got the carnitas de la casa and it was some of the best carnitas I have had in a long while. The flavor, seasoning, were topnotch.

I was very disappointed, the birria plate came extremely greasy, half of the plate was grease. The flavor ok, not great. The beans on the side very salty. They offer salsa and chips, the chips were old, and the salsa had a hair. The plates look really nice, but the flavor and quality not worth it, as it is not cheap. Not going back ever.

Mango Margarita (so yummy) and very enjoyable!!! Not overpowered by liquor just the right equal amount to savor each sip !!!

Seasoned to perfection!! The food is delicious and well seasoned. We ordered the cowboy steak and carnitas. It was delicious and cooked well as we asked. The vibe of the restaurant reminds me of Tulum and the staff is attentive and friendly. First time here and was not disappointed at all. High hopes after seeing such positive reviews on Yelp, but was left slightly disappointed. We dined for lunch on a Saturday, it wasn't too busy though we did make a reservation on Yelp. For starters, the table wasn't ready when we arrived, so we helped push two tables together. The restaurant was not busy, but service was slower than you'd expect. We were in no rush, so this wasn't a problem but it was noticeable. All of the staff were very friendly and attentive. They offer complementary chips and salsa, though both salsas were extremely spicy (this is coming from someone who generally enjoys a little heat). Once the food was ready it did not come out all at once, there was probably close to 10 minutes before everyone in my party received their food. The first few plates to come out were surprisingly cooled down (enchiladas) which was odd seeing as they were the first to arrive. I tried the tostada salad, which was full of lettuce (maybe a little too full) I had to dig for the beans underneath, and they used guacamole to secure the tostada shell to the plate which would have been nice to know before I finished the meal (I feel like this is a waste of good avocado). Overall it didn't live up to the hype for me, though it is worth giving a try for yourself.

A nice restaurant with some interesting interior to make it seem like you're in Tulum. The have a variety of Mexican classics and a touch of their own twist to it. To start off I was craving a nice fresh Guacomole so I ordered that and I was suggested by the server to add crispy pork belly to it and it was a great decision. The pork belly was cooked to a perfect crisp with a chewy inside and just that itself was delicious. The Guacomole was just ok but by adding the pork belly it made it ten times better. For the food I ordered their Carnitas Taco plate which comes with rice and beans. The tacos tasted good but was a little on the dry side for it being carnitas so unless you're drenching it in salsa there was a little dryness to it. Tulum while interestingly decorated, the basic items I chose felt just okay to me. Service and attentiveness by the gentleman serving me was excellent.

Can't say enough wonderful things about this little gem. Came here on a weeknight to celebrate my birthday with a couple friends. We had great service, drinks and shared the Padilla Tulum . There was great portions and the food was very tasty. My favorite part was the Carnitas ...I will definitely be coming back to try their brunch. read more

Hi everyone My wife wanted to Try this place! We came in and felt very comfy we were met by the manager Rene Super nice we were seated so I ask our server Pedro who was very kind What's popular here he told me the rib eye tacos were his favorite he was right They tasted very good. My wife ordered the Chile relllenothere also were very tasty The Margaritas were very tasty I ordered all flavors yummy my favorite was the pineapple The next visit we are having the tomahawk steak to share everything was great A must try for all thank everyone! read more

Our host Jeanette and our sever Pedro were both amazing! We were quickly greeted and seating by our host Jeanette. Pedro recommend some great options such as the Cowboy steak (AMAZING) that comes along with the $1 wine add-on. Margaritas, wine, and food were delicious. Both Jeanette and Pedro made sure to check on us if we needed anything. Such an amazing food & service. My boyfriend and I will definitely be coming back! read more

This place is a hidden gem! Some friends of ours went here for a birthday party last weekend and highly recommended that we try it. So this evening, my family and I went to Tulum for dinner and we were not disappointed. In fact, we were totally surprised with how awesome the experience was! First off, the ambiance is very cool, simple but posh. The staff were all amazing! Everyone from the host that sat us down, to the bus boys who cleared our plates were so friendly. But our server, Lauren, was AWESOME! She was super friendly and witty and made some great recommendations. And the food was fantastic !!! Lobster enchiladas skirt steak and margaritas !!! But what was most impressive was the price. We have easily spent double at other restaurants for a mediocre meal but Tulum delivered an amazing experience for half the cost. Service was great, the atmosphere is about all it could be without tearing down a 60 plus year old diner's foot print. The salsa was fantastic. I sent an item back as it wasn't executed well, they took it and the replacement off the bill despite my objection. We will be back and they'll be successful because I can see all the care that been put into its opening. read more

Went with a group of friends. Saw it on Instagram and pictures seemed convincing. The decor inside is cute. Food was good but nothing memorable. Some drinks they didn't even have or couldn't make. Not a place I'd put on my list as a must return spot. read more

Great new spot we just recently found. The food was delicious and had great plating. Everything served had care and purpose. Our server was very helpful and patient since we had a lot of questions on the menu. The margarita flight was tasty (wasn't a huge fan of the spicy raspberry flavor), but a little sweet. Amiable was modern and had fun "dancy" music. Didn't try any dessert because we were so fun, but will for sure will try the molten chocolate cake thing next time. read more

Delicious breakfast! Tried their al pastor omelet, birria chilaquiles, crepes, and breakfast platter with pancakes. I don't normally like black coffee but they added cinnamon and cane sugar to theirs, and it was very good - didn't need any extra creamer. Will definitely come again to try their lunch menu! Service was fine given that there was only one server at the time we went. Overall, the place was cute and aesthetic inside. read more

This place is new and very nice, but my issue is when places like this try and position themselves as a cocktail bar, when they only have a beer and wine license. It should be illegal to sell drinks disguised as cocktails when they are made with Soju, or whatever rice wine substitute they are using. It's very misleading. read more

The service here was terrible. Had to ask for my drink 3 times and even then it was the wrong drink. Forget about asking for a refill. Saw the chef more times than the server. Had to ask for beans and rice that came with my entree. Another person in my party asked about the hominy in the menudo and the menudo didn't have any after saying it did. Reviews looked promising, but the service killed it for us. Food was okay, didn't taste authentic compared to other Mexican restaurants in the area. Birria was too salty and the tortillas that the menu claimed were "handmade", looked store bought. Drinks are well made and taste good. Ambiance had a good vibe and comfortable seating. read more

My friend and I came here for lunch today. The restaurant was empty. The food was expensive and not a big selection as a typical Mexican restaurant. That should've been a sign to get up and leave but we were starving. The waiter was very nice but he was so slow. Took forever to take our order. I didn't understand why because there was nobody there. The food was ok. I ordered the birria plate. It was literally a bowl of meat and tortillas that cost $22. I'm from the valley and was in aneheim for a concert. I'd choose a hole in the wall Mexican place in the valley any day! read more

Wowww where do I start...... *** Location - visible really close to Disneyland can't get lost. *** Atmosphere- such a peaceful vacation vibe definitely hits Tulum vibe. Extremely clean and welcoming. When I say clean I mean everything ... the tables, the chairs, curtains and specifically the restrooms. **** Food- I ordered the pork belly with guacamole and it was delicious 10/10. I'm Mexican so when I order such traditional food I prefer to have a disappointed outcome yet I was wrong. It's taste is magnificent juicy and with flavor. My husband ordered the Tacos gobernador and same result delicious 10/10. *** Drinks- top notch on their margaritas we tried almost all of them. Strawberry, pineapple, and blackberry. My favorite was blackberry I'm that type of girl that less sweet is better yet honestly the taste on all are to die for. Dessert- cheesecake top with a home made blackberry jelly. I honestly don't like cheesecake because I know the making of it is with lots of egg. When I try a dessert and at the end I can taste the egg I will likely not have anymore. This cheesecake was perfect on the sugar and definitely no egg taste at the end. *** Customer service- I leave this one for last because to me service is the foundation to great success in any business. From the minute we walked in Rafael the owner was warm and welcoming then we were introduced to the other owner Roberto which he had the same welcoming vibe. Angie was also warm and friendly made us feel at home. Our waiter please accept my apology don't remember his name yet I gotta say he made us really feel we were his top priority in everything. He asked over and over how did we like our drinks and if there was something he could do to improve. Honestly the entire teams culture is over delivering in service value with humility and kindness. TULUM TEAM thank you for making my date with my husband feeling as if I was a very special guest. I will definitely go back and try many more things from the menu. I'll start by saying the ambiance was great. Beautiful restaurant with great customer service!!! I was a bit disappointed that they had a limited menu for Valentine's Day. I had been looking forward to dinner knowing already what I wanted to order just to find out they didn't have it for that night. Drinks- I ordered a mango mojito but I'm sad to say it was not good at all. Whatever alcohol they used tasted like medicine. I tried to still drink it but I couldn't after 3 sips of it. Waitress was nice enough to take it off my bill. I decided not to order another drink because most of it was tequila which is not my favorite. Bartender came out apologized for the drink and offered me another one on the house. I thought that was really nice. I believe it was a margarita.... it was ok. Food- was good overall. If you like SPICY order the camarones a la diabla. They were spicy to the point I couldn't really enjoy them, and I like spicy food. We also ordered aguachile which was delicious just make sure you ask for tostadas because apparently they don't come with the dish. Which is weird because that's how you eat aguachile. Overall food presentation was good. I will probably come back only if they have full menu to give it another try. read more

Wow! We stumbled across Tulum while on our vacation. So lucky we did. It happened to be their soft opening, which explains why it wasn't crowded but I expect that very soon this place will be PACKED! The food and service were top notch. My 10 year old commented multiple times on how nice the ambiance was too. read more

What could improve? The menu and lack of communication from the start. All margaritas are not organic. There's only two. The menu that I'm going to post was what was given to us. Per the manager he stated they will be received new menus on Thursday. But yet, did not tell us that there was a couple of things off the menu like no salmon or burgers. Mind you this was a soft opening they are not open yet. Beans were very salted. But nonetheless the scenery was nice. It is very aesthetically. read more

We have been waiting for this place to open since we notice the work they started doing on the building a few months back and found out it was going to be Mexican Cuisine. What a turn out compared to what it was!! We decided to check it out this past Sunday for brunch, since their IG story promoted Bottomless Mimosas at $20 bucks with the purchase of an entrée! (Who doesn't love a bottomless mimosa place and at that price!) We were greeted by Rene (the manager) who let us choose our table. Right away Leonardo showed up and introduced himself as our waiter. Very polite and on point with everything. We each ordered the bottomless mimosas and were happy to see that they are not premixed! They bring it to your table chilled in a champagne bucket, and the bottles just kept coming! 10/10! We ordered the "Birriaquiles" which were so savory and just the right amount Also the Montecristo sandwich which was heaven in my mouth! Delicious We order the chocolate chip pancakes (for the 8 yr old) that was with us and nothing was left on his plate! My wife and I stopped in for lunch recently, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. I ordered my steak medium, but it was served overly well done. While I chose not to send it back, it was clearly not prepared as requested. My wife ordered the Tulum Breakfast Plate, and it arrived without the sausage. When we brought this to the server's attention, he told us he was already aware. It was concerning that this was never communicated to us beforehand. Instead, he brought bacon to the table without asking if that substitution would be acceptable. When we explained she did not want additional bacon, he simply took it back without offering any further solution. The lack of communication and overall service left a poor impression, and the food quality did not make up for it. Based on this visit, we would not return. read more

I visited this restaurant for the first time, and it was quite appealing both outside and inside. The waitress was friendly, and I ordered the chilaquiles verdes de lengua. Unfortunately, my experience took a turn for the worse when I discovered a mosquito-like insect in my dish while eating. Given my sensitive stomach, this was especially distressing. I immediately informed the waitress, who apologized and explained that they've been dealing with mosquito issues due to the real plants inside. She offered to remake my dish, but by then, my appetite was gone. Additionally, I noticed a 30% discount on the receipt, yet they still charged me for the food with the mosquito that I couldn't eat, which I find very unprofessional for a high-end restaurant. I had the Sopa Azteca, which had decent flavor overall, but the queso in it was rubbery and unpleasant.
