I recently had dinner at a this Mexican restaurant that absolutely exceeded my expectations. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The decor was vibrant without feeling over-the-top, beautiful hanging lanterns that gave the whole space a cozy, authentic feel. It felt like stepping into a lively cantina, but with a modern, polished touch, but more classy. The service was just as impressive as the setting. The staff greeted us with genuine smiles and made us feel welcome right away. Our server was attentive without hovering, quick with recommendations, and clearly passionate about the menu. The food itself was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care--from the perfectly seasoned tacos to the rich, house-made salsas. Every bite tasted authentic and thoughtfully prepared. If you're looking for a place with fantastic Mexican cuisine, standout service, and a fun, stylish atmosphere, this spot is a must-visit. I'll definitely be coming back to try more dishes.

First time trying cochinita pibil, pretty good

The decor is what brought us in. We were looking for something that was centralized for our family that was coming from all different directions. I found this on yelp and loved the decor pics. The fajitas were super good, our favorite. We can't compare the cochinita pibil as it was our first time trying but we thought it was pretty good. I also tried the sopa azteca but it was so spicy for me. Appetizer tacos were super yummy! Overall, we had a great time and the service was great! We went on a Friday night and were seated right away.

3.5/5 stars. Plenty of parking sharing with the motel next door. They didn't have air conditioning so it was slightly warm inside. It was pretty quiet inside on a weekday for dinner but cute decor overall. They bring over complimentary chips and salsa. We ordered the Birria and the chicken mole. Overall flavors are ok and portions are good for the price. It was one hard working waiter helping all.

We came here for brunch on Valentines Day and enjoyed ourselves. The food was pretty good, and the decor/ambiance was definitely a nice modern feel. Next time, I'd plan on coming in the evening to see how the restaurant livens up a bit! Staff was kind and attentive. (Pepsi products - something to note!)

Wow! I've never been to Tulum, Mexico but I'm pretty sure the ambiance at this restaurant embodies the tasty foodie aspect and accommodating atmosphere. They even have karaoke Friday & Saturday nights in their larger back room! The Spanish aunties & uncles were crooning classic rock tunes, according to my friend. Dance party included =) Jinneth was our lovely waitress and she treated us like family. She was friendly and so genuine. She noticed my friend's phone battery had died and she offered to charge it. Drinks: *White Sangria *Strawberry Margarita *Strawberry Mexican Mule Eats: *Complimentary Chips & two different salsa: rojo y aguacate (avocado) caliente *Choriqueso-- chorizo queso dip with amazing flour tortillas! *Fajita Mar y Tierra *Lobster Enchiladas *Cheese Chile Relleno *Asada Tacos I've been relearning Spanish via Duolingo and Jinneth must've thought I spoke fluently after ordering the fajitas lol! She asked how I wanted the steak cooked. Medium well for me and the grilled trio of chicken, steak, and shrimp comes with fluffy arroz, frijoles, y tortillas de maiz (rice, beans, corn tortillas). So much yum! There's cream sauce under the shrimp. Plump shrimp with just the tail shell on, easy to eat. Choriqueso was so good hot with the yummiest flour tortillas! Seemed housemade and had the perfect chew. My friend was so excited to get the chile relleno and luckily got the last order of the night! Drinks were sweet and refreshing. I'll have to get a mule or mojito next time. Everything looked absolutely amazing and tasted even better! Beautiful ambiance with warm mood lighting and Boheme-style wicker lamps. The tv monitor above the front entrance rotates between vibrant visuals of the Mexican ocean. So serene and relaxing. Take a look out the window for nightly firework views from Disneyland!

This is a romantic, date-night hidden gem. The service here is absolutely wonderful, the food is amazing, and the vibe truly takes you out of reality. I loved everything about this place 10/10 I would definitely come back.

Came here for a lunch meeting and was I amazed at the quality of the food. Definitely worth a nice meal, if it wasn't work hours, I would have definitely gotten a drink as the table next to me had some declisious looking drinks. I got the carnitas de la casa and it was some of the best carnitas I have had in a long while. The flavor, seasoning, were topnotch.

I was very disappointed, the birria plate came extremely greasy, half of the plate was grease. The flavor ok, not great. The beans on the side very salty. They offer salsa and chips, the chips were old, and the salsa had a hair. The plates look really nice, but the flavor and quality not worth it, as it is not cheap. Not going back ever.

Mango Margarita (so yummy) and very enjoyable!!! Not overpowered by liquor just the right equal amount to savor each sip !!!

Seasoned to perfection!! The food is delicious and well seasoned. We ordered the cowboy steak and carnitas. It was delicious and cooked well as we asked. The vibe of the restaurant reminds me of Tulum and the staff is attentive and friendly. First time here and was not disappointed at all. High hopes after seeing such positive reviews on Yelp, but was left slightly disappointed. We dined for lunch on a Saturday, it wasn't too busy though we did make a reservation on Yelp. For starters, the table wasn't ready when we arrived, so we helped push two tables together. The restaurant was not busy, but service was slower than you'd expect. We were in no rush, so this wasn't a problem but it was noticeable. All of the staff were very friendly and attentive. They offer complementary chips and salsa, though both salsas were extremely spicy (this is coming from someone who generally enjoys a little heat). Once the food was ready it did not come out all at once, there was probably close to 10 minutes before everyone in my party received their food. The first few plates to come out were surprisingly cooled down (enchiladas) which was odd seeing as they were the first to arrive. I tried the tostada salad, which was full of lettuce (maybe a little too full) I had to dig for the beans underneath, and they used guacamole to secure the tostada shell to the plate which would have been nice to know before I finished the meal (I feel like this is a waste of good avocado). Overall it didn't live up to the hype for me, though it is worth giving a try for yourself.

A nice restaurant with some interesting interior to make it seem like you're in Tulum. The have a variety of Mexican classics and a touch of their own twist to it. To start off I was craving a nice fresh Guacomole so I ordered that and I was suggested by the server to add crispy pork belly to it and it was a great decision. The pork belly was cooked to a perfect crisp with a chewy inside and just that itself was delicious. The Guacomole was just ok but by adding the pork belly it made it ten times better. For the food I ordered their Carnitas Taco plate which comes with rice and beans. The tacos tasted good but was a little on the dry side for it being carnitas so unless you're drenching it in salsa there was a little dryness to it. Tulum while interestingly decorated, the basic items I chose felt just okay to me. Service and attentiveness by the gentleman serving me was excellent.

First time coming to this restaurant and it was not a pleasant experience.Makes me not wanna come back .Service was okay but just no communication with the servers and (chefs) or cooks . Things were missing and the taste was bland and over salty .A lot of missing food items on the menu that I wanted but weren't available. Due to lack of communication with us .The severs were nice but not professional or apologetic.They did give us a discount of 1 platefor there failures but added on drinks that we did not order .So all in all this place NEEDS ALOT OF WORK !and the Next Level Chef needs to check and verify his plates that he and his team send out because this is unacceptable for the consumer.Not Authentic Mexican Restaurant!!Needs more Mexican dishes . read more

What a pleasant surprise! New great place near Disneyland but without the crowds. Mexican favorites were awesome..Tacos! Menudo! Organic Margaritas!! All great!!!!! We had dinner here on March 25 celebrating my wife's birthday with family. Everyone enjoyed their food. My wife and sisters-in-law had a couple of the margarita flights. The guys had some beers. It was busy but service was still good. read more

Worst restaurant experience I've ever had. Service was not the best, so loud that the servers couldn't hear me ordering and we had to shout to even have a conversation. Worst of all they made a mistake and were so rude about it. I had to then come back to fix their mistake and even then they were so insincere about everything. Not satisfied will never be coming back here. read more

INCREDIBLE! After a long Disneyland weekend this place hit the spot. The food was delicious, high quality meat. The ambiance was amazing, everything was so cute and the details to everything was so thought out down to the check presenter. The real shout out that really made this experience incredible was Lauren. She was so sweet and knowledgeable and just all along so pleasant to be around. The overall aesthetic of the restaurant is beautiful. The staff is friendly. The aguachiles were the best part of the dining experience. The dish was beautifully plated and flavorful. However, the margaritas tasted more like juice and had so much more to be desired. The smoked pineapple cocktail had the remnants of the burned rosemary in the beverage which was very overwhelming and made it very difficult to drink. It smelt of burnt fire The tacos, green cream cheese enchiladas, and cheese chile relleno were average at best in flavor and barely came out warm. Not worth what they are charging. There was also a mix up with our check which we had to go to the cashier to fix because the staff took so long to check back in with us. Overall a disappointing experience read more

Came here for a girls night dinner and i can't wait for the grand opening! The place is very aesthetic /picture perfect! Our server Rene was very pleasant, I ordered a margarita and he asked if he could surprise me with the flavor i agreed and im glad i did! he made me a roasted pineapple margarita 10/10! my friend and i shared the tulum parilla and it was more than enough! everything was so delicious! we also ordered a side of choriqueso, and normally i'm picky with how it's made and this was made perfectly. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. We will definitely be doing girls night here again! read more

My family and I had really high hopes because of the 5 star reviews to start off the salsa & chips were super fresh and yummy. The server was very kind but lacked communication after taking our orders she notified us that it's unavailable and from then we honestly should have just left because their menu is so limited for dinner and half of it wasn't available. After we spoke to the manager about how we're disappointed with the service and lack of attention and transparency bc of all the missing ingredients we noticed in our tacos we had ordered. he offered us to redo our food but it already had taken so long we didn't want to wait another 20-25 mins for our meals. He brought us drinks on his own and later to find out charged us 16$ a piece for drinks we never ordered. I can't recommend this place just because of how much they're lacking and the food was really over salted. if you do end up trying this place make sure you double check the receipt for everything you're being charged. My family and I will not be returning. read more

Where do I begin.... They're not "Grand Opening" ready! Their dinner menu is very limited. When we ordered calamari we were told that it was not available. Half of our family was going to order the salmon plate and it was also not available. The burger plates were not available. So we ordered the chile relleno plates and the server came to notify us that it wasn't available. When we received our taco orders there were missing ingredients, such as grilled onions, cheese, and guacamole. They took my taco plate back to redo it and came back with the same missing items on it. To make it right they did bring us a complimentary dessert as we came to celebrate a special occasion. I hope this constructive criticism helps you in bettering your food and service. read more

Girlfriend recommend this place because it's down the street from where she lives. Noticed it was a Mexican restaurant now. So we decided to give it a shot. Didn't disappoint. As soon as we walked in we were attended right away. We decided to order drinks and I had the cucumber-cilantro margarita my girlfriend had the raspberry chipotle Moscow mule which were both delicious. For dinner we had the birria de res plate which my girlfriend thought was really good and said the consome was not too greasy like other spots. Keep in mind she's a picky eater. I had the taco de carnitas and a taco gobernador. The taco de carnitas was tender and flavorful. The taco gobernador was loaded with shrimp which is a plus because some places skimp on the shrimp. Prices were about the same as the other places around here. We will definitely be back here and try the breakfast/brunch menu as the location has bottomless mimosas angives you the laidback at the beach feel. read more

For Breakfast-- Breakfast burritos, omelettes, pancakes, egg combos... all delicious! Their salsas are *chef's kiss*, especially their spicy one. For lunch -- burgers, sandwiches, fries, onion rings... juicy and tasty! Service is always friendly and efficient. We live close and walk her every weekend. If you find yourself at Center St, definitely worth a try.

We have been waiting for this place to open since we notice the work they started doing on the building a few months back and found out it was going to be Mexican Cuisine. What a turn out compared to what it was!! We decided to check it out this past Sunday for brunch, since their IG story promoted Bottomless Mimosas at $20 bucks with the purchase of an entrée! (Who doesn't love a bottomless mimosa place and at that price!) We were greeted by Rene (the manager) who let us choose our table. Right away Leonardo showed up and introduced himself as our waiter. Very polite and on point with everything. We each ordered the bottomless mimosas and were happy to see that they are not premixed! They bring it to your table chilled in a champagne bucket, and the bottles just kept coming! 10/10! We ordered the "Birriaquiles" which were so savory and just the right amount Also the Montecristo sandwich which was heaven in my mouth! Delicious We order the chocolate chip pancakes (for the 8 yr old) that was with us and nothing was left on his plate! Over all, we were very happy with this place and let's not forget the ambiance, from the decor to the lighting and the music, it was definitely a Tulum vibe! I recently dined at Tulum in Anaheiml, and I couldn't have been happier with my experience! From the moment we walked in, the vibrant atmosphere and friendly staff made us feel right at home. We started off with the guacamole and chips, which was fresh and perfectly seasoned. For my main dish, I ordered the Cecina tacos, and they were incredible! The meat was tender and flavorful, paired with homemade tortillas and fresh toppings. My friend had the lobster enchiladas, and she raved about the rich, savory sauce. The drink menu was also impressive. I tried their signature margarita, which was the perfect balance of sweet and tangy. Also the Margaritas is Organics. Wowwwwwwww. The service was prompt and attentive without being intrusive, and the prices were reasonable for the quality of food we received. My wife and I stopped in for lunch recently, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. I ordered my steak medium, but it was served overly well done. While I chose not to send it back, it was clearly not prepared as requested. My wife ordered the Tulum Breakfast Plate, and it arrived without the sausage. When we brought this to the server's attention, he told us he was already aware. It was concerning that this was never communicated to us beforehand. Instead, he brought bacon to the table without asking if that substitution would be acceptable. When we explained she did not want additional bacon, he simply took it back without offering any further solution. The lack of communication and overall service left a poor impression, and the food quality did not make up for it. Based on this visit, we would not return. read more

I visited this restaurant for the first time, and it was quite appealing both outside and inside. The waitress was friendly, and I ordered the chilaquiles verdes de lengua. Unfortunately, my experience took a turn for the worse when I discovered a mosquito-like insect in my dish while eating. Given my sensitive stomach, this was especially distressing. I immediately informed the waitress, who apologized and explained that they've been dealing with mosquito issues due to the real plants inside. She offered to remake my dish, but by then, my appetite was gone. Additionally, I noticed a 30% discount on the receipt, yet they still charged me for the food with the mosquito that I couldn't eat, which I find very unprofessional for a high-end restaurant. The ambience is absolutely beautiful--chic, cozy, and perfect for a brunch outing. We started with the watermelon margarita, which was perfectly balanced and refreshing. For food, we ordered the pork belly avocado as an appetizer, followed by the lobster enchiladas, and a large shared dish (I wish I remembered the name!) that was perfect for the four of us. I had the Sopa Azteca, which had decent flavor overall, but the queso in it was rubbery and unpleasant. My husband ordered the Tierra y Mar fajitas, and they were completely bland -- no seasoning, no flavor, just disappointing. The restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived, and now I understand why.
