The location is so cute! They have indoor and outdoor seating. The food was AMAZING. We had the chicken fried rice, spicy shrimp roll, and the curry. There wasn't anything left. The rice is hands down the best I've ever had! The staff were great and the restaurant was really clean. We also had the margarita flight. They were delicious. We can not wait to come back the next time we are here. read more

I stopped by this mall to eat at a different spot and walked by Tuk Tuk Boom and decided to stop. I loved that they had outdoor seating and upon looking up reviews, it had hourly rated. I noticed the tables were numbered with QR codes, so without having to interact with anyone, I sat down, placed my order and waited. The food and beverages were delicious and i tried the massuman curry. I'll be back next time im in jackson, MS. read more

A quaint little spot in a shopping plaza. Good service where you order at the counter and they bring your food to you. The sushi is pretty good but the tuna nachos are some of the best in Jackson. The chips are freshly made and you get plenty of flavorful toppings. read more

Good food and drinks, great location! The spring roll appetizer and the spicy shrimp roll were delicious! We got the Thai fried rice with chicken, beef and shrimp. It was good as well, but felt a little scorched or maybe like it was from the bottom of the pan. Yum yum sauce helped. We came during the happy hour plaza party. There was live music, an outdoor bar and drink specials. You could order from the counter or directly from your table. Tip: If you go during happy hour or a special night, scroll to the very bottom of the menu to see the happy hour deals or you might miss it. Service: Good - Our food came out pretty fast. Tuk Tuk Boom is located in Highland Village. We chose to try them because the weather was beautiful and they share an attractive outdoor eating area with some other restaurants. I was unprepared for it to be counter service, so I felt a little rushed trying to decide on our meal. Next time I will study the menu online before arriving. Another "mistake" we made was that it was happy hour when we got in line and as we were indecisively placing our order...happy hour ended. We did not get our drinks discounted because apparently the computer automatically changes with the time. We ordered two cocktails, the spring roll appetizer, the beef lo mein, the boom boom roll, & a CA roll. Our appetizer did come out with our meal, even though we asked for it first. Everything was beautifully presented and delicious. We were very impressed with our cocktails and will definitely try to make it to happy hour in the future. I failed to get the names of our cocktails but mine had Elderflower liquor and my husband's had bourbon with the blackberry garnish. I think now that I have a visited once, future visits will go more smoothly. It is easier to find the entrance to the restaurant if you park on the backside of Highland visit, not the interstate side. read more

I like the drinks here they could be a little stronger though. Food is good and flavorful not bland at all the service is fast !

Initially I was turned off when they told me takeout orders couldn't be called in. Had to place them online, but it's actually been pretty convenient and fast. Love the cashew chicken. Order on their website from your phone, then drive by the take out window after they text you that your order is ready, usually just 10-15 minutes. Friendly service! read more

Our food was amazing. Easy 5 out of 5 stars. The seating and cleanliness, however, was a joke. The single busboy was working his ass off.

I ordered the chicken and shrimp Pad Thai, and it was amazing! The staff was also super kind and welcoming!

Everything was amazing. The cashier at the register was great. They instructed me and my guest on how to order which is convenient because we wanted to kind of hangout and read the full menu. Our sushi was amazing and the portions allowed me to have a meal for later. Spice and heat was on point. It wasn't a cool vibe and lively conversation happening all around. 10s across the board for me. read more

I have to confess, I wanted to try this place because I liked the name! I didn't realize it was counter ordering but that was fine. I asked about the crispy rice bites (the other reason I chose this restaurant). They said the tuna would be spicy but the crab wouldn't be. I ordered the crab crispy rice bites and the salmon nigiri. They do bring the food to the table. When the food arrived I asked the waitress if the crab was spicy because when I ordered they said it wasn't but it definitely looked like there is spicy mayo mixed in. She said it wasn't. It definitely had spicy mayo mixed in. It wasn't very spicy, bit it wasn't "not spicy" either. It was delicious though. The salmon was 3 pieces for only $5. Definitely a good value. I ordered lemonade which I then found out was self serve. When I went back for a refill it was empty. I asked if there was more and I was told there wasn't. While there was definitely a "fast food vibe" because of the counter ordering the food was much better than any other fast food place I've ever been. read more

Food was amazing! We were driving through on vacation and stopped for a quick bite. I got one rainbow roll and edamame - then had to order another roll for how quick I ate first! Fried rice, potstickers, chicken noodle bowl, and drinks were perfect. The woman up front had amazing suggestions for food and a charismatic attitude. Service was prompt and friendly, we wished we had a place like this in oklahoma. Selfie to prove we were here and a picture of the completely devoured food :) Edit: great prices as well! For good sushi and Thai food we were very pleased with the quality of food and the generous proportions. read more

One of fav spots but Manager today didn't make sense at all. First time ever having burnt eggs in my dish, as I always ask and pay for extra. Had an appt and needed to eat quickly before my meds kicked in so I simply asked for just a little eggs to add that wasn't burnt and I'd pick it out, and I was pressed for time. I would've let her remake it if time wasn't an issue. She refused and said she'd have to charge me extra but would remake the entire dish. Smh make it make sense, that's not common sense. If I already paid for the extra egg why would you charge me extra bc y'all burnt it but remake the entire thing for free. Lol it was just senseless. Good: I'm a regular. Never experienced this before. Bad: Not the customer service you'd like so why give it. The initial person I asked tried to imply it was just brown. I didn't give any rebuttal, just said okay bc if you can't see that wasn't proper then there was no point in trying to get you to understand. I explained I was hungry and had to eat so that was unnecessary, but she simply said yes I'd have to charge you extra but I'll remake it. I'm chalking this up as a one time experience. Why would I have to pay extra for something I already paid extra for that you didn't serve properly?! The small request could've avoided this review and my frustration. read more

[Tuk Tuk Boom] Thai + sushi place located on the plaza in Highland Village in Jackson, MS Ordered the Pad Thai. Can't go wrong with the classic at a Thai restaurant. The pad thai here was decent, had chicken and shrimp inside, and was on the stickier side of pad thais Also tried their Crab Angel, which was also decent. I would say it's no different from getting crab rangoons at a Chinese takeout restaurant Overall, no complaints. Service was good, food was decent, price was cheap 7/10 https://tuktukboom.com/#contact 4500 I-55 N, Suite 153 Jackson, MS 39211 read more

First time trying Thai and Tuk Tuk exceeded my expectations this place was recommended by a friend earlier this week and mentioned happy hour from 4 to 6 which immediately made me want to check it out. I fell in love with the interior, friendly staff (they give great suggestions btw) and how quickly the food came out because it arrived by the time I was out of the restroom. Alcohol Suggestion: Try the seasonal margarita for happy hour (light on the ice) Food Suggestions: - fried rice - snow crab - wontons (hate that they only give 4 -- Manship gives 8 ) - egg rolls (hate that they only give 3) Sucky part is, that I went on a Sunday and they were closed I was kind of distraught because this would be the 3rd time in less than 7days I would have gone Out of all the restaurants in the plaza this is THEE BEST! read more

Chicken coconut soup was great and the large served as a generous appy for 2. Chicken panang was creamy and flavorful without being over spicy. Spicy beef noodle lived up to its name and was surprisingly light on noodles but if ur diabetic like me it was a gift. There is a spice bar with 4 offerings inside to customize your heat level. Don't challenge any Thai people to a who can eat it hotter contest. Don't ask how I know! Lovely dessert they were proud of they let us taste to get the word out. The manager was lovely and guy behind the counter pointed me to the spicy beef. Well done to all. Staff was attentive and friendly and people around us all seemed to enjoy their dishes. Ate here a few days ago. Had Pad Thai. It was hot, yummy and quite fresh. Pretty quiet at lunch when I was there but definitely a good spot.

Sigh. I want to be petty and give them a new name but no, I won't. I was horribly disappointed here. Horribly. I spent 90 with tip and ordered an assortment of things tonight which I will detail below but first...let's start with the positive. Positives: So first, I love the idea of a takeaway window. Although it said that you could drive up when we arrived, there was somebody standing at the window with no way for us to drive up? So I don't know if we got confused or if the restaurant is confused. But either way, there was convenience and I appreciate that. The order was on time, it was packed somewhat carefully? When you put things in paper bags the way they do it never arrives home safely. And this was takeout, as most of my reviews are, so even though I didn't like how they packed their food, it wasn't the worst I've ever seen. There is definitely room for improvement. The containers that you put the lettuce wrap leaves in would be way better and more beneficial when you put the other things that need to stay warm in those same containers. Also a positive, they follow directions and lastly....the Edamame was fine. Unfortunately, that's pretty much where it all ends. Let me preface this by saying I realize we're still in the middle of Covid, and times are hard. What my review reflects is in no way a lack of appreciation for the employees and restaurant workers that do an amazing job every single day to make their customers happy. I wildly appreciate them. I absolutely appreciate everything they do. So just a hat off and a thank you to you guys. Let's get into it... What I ordered: - Lettuce Wraps - Spring Rolls - Satay Chicken - Coconut Shrimp & Edamame - 2 Shrimp Tempura Roll - Island Roll - Rainbow Roll Sides of: - Ponzu Sauce - Wasabi - Pink Sauce - Peanut Sauce Addons: To Go Cutlery and Chopsticks OK so let's start with the lettuce wraps: The lettuce itself was brown on the bottom of the leaves, and half of the leaves were cut into what looks like quarters? Not big enough to make a wrap out of and yet you could make a small salad if you chose to eat it. The side was crispy wontons, carrots that seemed really old, and I think ground peanuts. I took a bite out of this and didn't use it because it just felt old and stale. The ground chicken was horrible. While it had flavor, certainly, it also had about a pound of salt. And salt and light spice is all that you could really taste along with a lot of grease. In a bad way. It was close to inedible and when offered to others, they also refused it after tasting it. The spring rolls. In no way do I think these are freshly made. I think these are either out of the box or made and frozen and then used but again not in a good way. These had no flavor, and while fried decently they had little taste and nothing special. They were also very, very small and weren't filled with filling. This 200% looked like they had been mechanically made. The coconut shrimp came with the edamame and I was perfectly happy with the edamame. The coconut shrimp, again, is something that you could've very easily gotten from a box and probably been a lot better. They were cold, and I was on time picking up my order, the shrimp was flaccid and was not fried well. The coconut tasted fine but it was very middle of the road. It felt like this could've been done with a lot more attention and care. And they just weren't. The satay. The chicken was cooked well and that was about it. It had some mild flavor but it was nothing remarkable. It came with a cloyingly sweet peanut sauce that tasted more of coconut milk than it did peanut. Didn't hate the sauce, wouldn't use it again. And honestly, it probably would've been fine for the lettuce wraps. Now...the rolls. I WISH I could say that I enjoyed any of the rolls. I didn't. Whoever cut the rice has no idea how to cook rice and no idea how to roll sushi. Whatsoever. The fish seemed fresh, it had no smell it bounced back when I pressed into it, but the rice just overtook everything. It had no flavor and the rolls were less than basic. Overall...this meal flat out fell apart. I would comment on the sauces but they were all just out of a bottle or tasted like you could get them at a grocery store which for a restaurant isn't always bad so I'm not gonna knock them for this.. The truth is I want my money back. Will I ask for it back? No. But this was in no way worth the money they were charging. On a personal note: It would be nice if you put some kind of effort into caring about what you serve. And I don't think that this restaurant cares a thing about what they serve. Maybe it was a really bad night? I don't know. Playing devil's advocate...all I see here are four-star reviews so I don't know if it's my taste buds or just my experience. But I am confused as to how this restaurant is getting such high scores. Would love comments from other takeout customers. read more

This is the second time I have had a very negative experience here. This place used to be perfect. Perfect food, customer service literally a commercial on tv. Last two times have been pretty bad. Last time I took my sister this summer. Good came out and the noodles were a little cold. A lady came out in a timely fashion and asked how everything was. I said it's fine, just the noodles are a little cold, can you heat it up. She said, we can't, we don't have a microwave, do you have a microwave? We can't put it back I a wok, it is a health code violation. She was so defensive, but I work in restaurants and we heat stuff back up all the time, not even using our microwave. Anyway. I just told her I'll eat it at home. This second time we ordered and the person I was with got his food brought out and it was to go. We were eating it here. No big deal, but no offer to replace it. I waited for 10-15 more minutes. My food was the tuna nachos, no cooking required. I finally went up to ask and the food was in a to go bag sitting in the Togo window. No apology or any awareness of it all. We came for I nice meal and didn't hardly eat together. I trusted these people o do there job, despite my friend telling me to check on my food. He was right, I was wrong. I don't care to come back anymore. read more
