Amazing joint hidden in plain sight! We stopped at another venue which was ok and we were about to leave and decided - Just one more! Well darn was this the perfect hipster joint. It has a vibe that reminds me of a cool place that doesn't need to try to be cool. The service was solid and we got to meet the owner and she had to be one of the coolest I've met. She chatted with us much of the night and all I can say is this is the place to be. I'll come back every time and this is my new go to in town. Drinks are great! Food is alright, but I've only tried the quesadilla and spinach artichoke dip. Service is awesome- the waiters always check to see if you need refills. The atmosphere is cozy and clean, right on Vicksburg's main streets. Support this business! read more

I ordered a ribeye through DoorDash. I was able to eat everything but the ribeye. It was still completely raw on the inside and so tough. It went straight in the trash. The sides and bread were good though. read more

two stars simply for the atmosphere and the staff is very friendly. We were 1 of 2 tables. Ordered salmon medium. husband ordered hamburger steak it took 20 minutes before we got the salad that was included with the entrée then it took another 25 minutes before the gumbo came which was included with the entrée it was supposed to be a seafood gumbo but it was basically white rice and a tomato sauce or soup then an additional half an hour for my husband's hamburger steak which was a hockey puck size and my husband basically ate it because he was tired of being in the restaurant for almost two hours and even though I asked for my salmon to be cooked medium not only was it completely raw and it was cold. I would not come back for a meal. Maybe a drink cause they looked goand possibly an appetizer, but no rush to do so. 6/2019-Drinks definitely really good!! The current Yelp average is 3 1/2 stars, which is just about right. This is a very attractive space. Jonathan is a very welcoming host and a knowledgeable, personable bartender/owner (I believe he is the owner). The menu and food never change, no real flair to it, but still good quality, taste, and value. 3 of us had the salmon, which was cooked perfectly and in the accompanying champagne sauce an excellent choice. Salad and sides were nice enough, especially the asparagus. My wife is always the challenge because of her dietary limitations: her salmon was well prepared, but just a little melted butter, which she had requested but did not receive, would have added both flavor and juice. Because there was onion or garlic or milk in all of the salad dressings, she asked for just olive oil and vinegar, but the server brought it out with only vinegar and the explanation that they did not use or have olive oil, only vegetable oil. My wife gave it a try, but in the end ate only a few pieces of lettuce and most of her salmon; the rice was very bland without any champagne sauce and she cannot eat asparagus (there was no other veggie available to substitute), Our 4th diner had a bowl of gumbo that he said was good not great, to which he added a LOT of Tabasco. A couple in our group wanted to know the dessert offerings, but all they had was red velvet cheese cake, no other options. They were out of our first wine selection, but Jonathan recommended another Sauvignon Blanc that was comparably priced and the perfect accompaniment to our meals. Our server was adequate, initially very attentive to our special needs, then later almost ignored us. This restaurant has a very good vibe and is a nice complement to the multiple other restaurants on the lower end of Washington Street. We want it to be successful and will most likely return at some point, though think their menu works best if you want to have cocktails or wine and share small plates (the small plate options look to be more imaginative, though none would work for my wife). read more

The atmosphere in this restaurant is amazing. It very nice on the inside and clean. The staff is very friendly and the vibe is great! The drinks in this place are great. The first time i went i got the casa nova, which was the drink of the day, and it was amazing. My girlfriend got the liquid marijuana and it was the beat one i have ever tasted. For the atmosphere, staff and drinks i give this place its props. But the food is bad. My girlfriend and i have been twice. The first time we ate here we just went for drinks and appetizers. She got the chicken quesadilla and i got the artichoke dip. The quesadilla was ok but the artichoke dip weirdly tasted like ravioli. It wasn't good at all and was cold when we got it. The second time we went, she ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and i got the grilled chicken meal. The chicken was super dry and didn't have an ounce of seasoning on it. Not even salt. Its was like the just threw a piece of chicken on the the grilled then served it to me. My girlfriend chicken sandwich was dry as well and her bread was hard. It was terrible. Cocktail 101 is what happens when you do everything right with a restaurant but ignore your food. If the food was just averagely ok I would have given this place a 4/5. read more

I was in town visiting and had a taste for some wings and/or seafood. Searched for some spots near me and ended up at Cocktails 101 & boy did they not disappoint. They have every cocktail you could imagine and the food is absolutely delicious. Started out with a nice, mixed greens salad and the crab & shrimp cheese dip. Absolutely to die for! The wings were air fried which made it even better and the flavor was to perfection. The Cajun seafood pasta didn't disappoint either. The jumbo shrimp with succulent crawfish tails finished with a creamy Cajun sauce made this pasta beyond mouth watering. I definitely recommend and will be back whenever back visiting the beautiful and historic city of Vicksburg. read more

In my opinion, this place wasn't worth our time and definitely not worth our money. We arrived and after being seated we placed our drink orders, the guy who came in after us was immediately offered a menu after his drink order was taken. We looked at the buffet, it had about four items total on it, so we skipped it. Still waiting on my husband's drink and to be offered a menu at this point. (15 mins in) we get a menu and were told they were out of 50% of the menu, so we settled on burgers. They were supposed to have bacon, lettuce, pickle mayo and tomato on them. They arrived another 25 mins after our arrival, mine was missing pickles and when I asked I was told "oh! We're out of those too." In short, 13$ a burger was not worth the price, the wait is forever just for a menu or drinks. And if you're on your lunch break go for that 4pc lunch buffet in the window. This is one of the best place to come just unwind, with great drink selections and good food. The bartender's service , Jonathan , is superb. I love their chicken wings and the must try boom boom shrimp appetizer that my husband definitely loves and their Burger 101. I'd say, they have an awesome house salad servings that would fill you up as well. All of the rave reviews of Jonathan the bartender ( a sommelier in a previous life) are absolutely true, but there is a secret at 101, the chef! "A" as he is known to the regulars is a culinary genius!!! I had a salmon filet stuffed with divine flavors that was the finest fish I have ever eaten! Best bet is to wander back to the window to the kitchen, introduce yourself and ask him what he is making you for dinner.
