I arrived around 2:10 p.m. and was greeted warmly by Valerie, the bartender, who was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Tired of the usual fried chicken and fish options that dominate Mississippi, I asked for a recommendation. She suggested the BLT with grilled chicken and fries, which I happily ordered. Though there was a small crowd, everyone was kind, and I never felt rushed. Valerie checked in on me during my meal, ensuring everything was to my liking. I paired the sandwich with a beer, and the chicken was tender and juicy, making the sandwich quite filling. I finished my meal a bit after 3 p.m., and no one made me feel uncomfortable about the time. Stopped for lunch. Been wanting to try this place for a while but parking can be a nightmare since it's in the heart of downtown Jackson. You order at the bar and they bring your food to you in a to-go plate. No one explained this to me so I just sat down and waited. And waited. Finally someone behind the bar took my order. I got the Faces golden honey wings and shrimp combo with fries as the side. Food did not take long to come out and it was hot. The shrimp are hand battered and plump and juicy. The wings were a bit scrawny but the Faces sauce was good. All of the food tasted good. I would score them a 4 out of 5 and I can see myself going back. read more

I was in Jackson on the second half of a ten-day vacation. As of the posting of this review, it was one week ago tonight that I was a patron at Names & faces and I must say, they served me the best damn chicken Caesar Salad I've ever had in my life!! It was delicious and second to none. The service was good and the atmosphere was dope. Clearly a local watering hole in Jackson and in walks I, Joe Tourist, from another planet, and I was lovin' the vibe in the room. I had a Red Stripe beer which was an import and it went well with the salad. The music was great, also. When I get back to Jackson, MS., the Names & Faces Lounge will be a definite must-go-to read more

Loved this place. Met a friend there after work. It's small, so I passed it a few times while driving... lol They have a bar you can sit at or seating at tables. The menu has a nice variety of items from chicken wings, shrimp, hamburgers, catfish, nachos, po-boys and other items. The young lady that provided service was a total sweetheart. Everyone who worked there was very friendly. I ordered catfish and shrimp, which also came with fries. The food is made to order so it is hot and fresh when you receive it. It was delicious! Catfish was fried just right, and the shrimp were a nice size and cooked perfectly. (It was so good I returned the following week to have it again before I left town.) They have some happy hour specials as well. They have decent music and tvs showing sports. It's a nice spot to check out for good food and a nice atmosphere. Overall this review is really good. The food (most) was delicious, still hot, and they accommodated my requests via Uber Eats. When I called them to ask a question about their menu the woman that answered was sweet and friendly and that goes a long way toward a great meal. So thank you. Instead, we got extra fries as we requested. The fries: They are like diner fries, I have a REALLY good suspicion they are frozen and they are cooked really well. Very solid, decent fry. Even for a fry snob like me, they reminded me of diner fries and I was okay with that. I have had WAY worse than this from high-end restaurants that charge double what this establishment did. The cheeseburger: This wasn't for me, or my counterparts. We all had a bite and while the bun was tasty, the burger itself was over-salted for our tastes and the patty tasted frozen but again, it tasted like a solid diner burger. You could get a LOT worse elsewhere and if you like a well-salted burger, this is your burger. Don't shy away from this, try it. You may have a very different opinion from me. Now the catfish and the shrimp po'boy. I can't tell you if they are frozen even though I suspect it might be and in this case, frankly, I don't care, because they were GOOD. The person who does the cooking here knows how to cook and fries well. The seafood felt plump and juicy. Nothing was overseasoned. It arrived hot and was a SOLID 8/10. Note that all the condiments they gave me were brand and were standard and fine. They also followed my requests and I thank them for that. So in conclusion..... Do not sleep on this place and think this was a bad review. It was absolutely not. I like this place, it's got potential and the food that came out was good. This is a great addition to the downtown Jackson vibe. The owner is also the bartender, friendly, sociable and professional. Great staff. The crowd here is more mature, late twenties and up. (That's my type of crowd). Food is pretty good too. I got the shrimp quesadilla with a salad. What I like about this place is that when they make you a drink they'll give you your whole drink. (Whatever is in the shaker that they make for you is yours) So.. it's like getting two drinks for one. We love to see it! read more

Friendly staff greeted us from the door. I spoke with some friends and sat at the booth. The waitress had an infectious smile. She took our order and we grooved to some Maze and Frankie Beverly. I order the grilled shrimp and fish. It was perfect. The second time I went, it was on a Saturday. My friends all knew the owner, TP. It just felt like a familiar place. This has been one of my favorite spots since they opened. Food is great and the owner is one of the best around. Today was different, maybe because the owner was not there. I wasn't greeted when I entered as usual. The waitresses were not friendly. It took much longer to get my food. Waitresses were standing talking amongst each other instead of accommodating guests. Overall, this is a great new addition for downtown Jackson. I've been twice on a week night. Both times, it was crowded but still comfortable. We were quickly pointed towards a table and received prompt service. The music and environment is on point. It has modern, spacious, lounge vibe, but the noise level, food, and large TVs make it feel like more of a sports bar than anything else. I ordered the fried fish and shrimp with fries, which were served in a basket. They were well seasoned and it was a fairly large portion for the price, but obviously frozen before. I'd say it was great bar food but wouldn't necessarily choose to come here for just a meal given other options around town. The bar options need a little work--The only red wine available was a chilled double bottle of some cheap red. I opted for a vodka soda instead but was given a vodka tonic.
